데이타베이스 스키마는 모델링 되는 환경이 변화할 때에도 여전히 유효한 상태로 남을 만큼 안정적이라고 가정되어 왔다. 그러나 실제로는, 데이타 모델은 데이타베이스 설계자들이 공통으로 가정하는 만큼 안정적이지 않다. 현재 데이타베이스 시스템에서 풍부한 스키마 변화 연산들이 제공되지만은 사용자들은 스키마 변화가 스키마에 쓰여진 기존의 응용 프로그램에 영향을 미치는 문제로 곤란을 겪어왔다. 이 논문은 응용 프로그램에 영향을 주는 문제를 탐구한다. 옛 스키마에 기존의 프로그램을 지속적으로 지원하기 위하여 옛 스키마가 이전처럼 변경과 질의를 계속 허락해야 한다. 더 나아가, 관련 데이타는 최신상태로 유지되어야 한다 이것을 스키마 변화 도구의 프로그램 독립 성질이라 부른다. 이 성질을 달성하기 위하여, 이 논문은 프로그램 독립적인 스키마 진화 (Program Independency Schema Evolution: PISE) 방법론을 제안한다. 더 나아가, 각각의 관계형 스키마의 변화 연산들에 대하여 PISE 방법론에 기초한 구현 알고리즘을 도식적으로 설명함으로써 PISE 방법론의 포괄성과 견고성을 증명한다.

XML is a standard markup language for exchange and storage of formed or well-formed information in World Wide Web. Because the source data of XML message for exchange of information in World Wide Web is stored in legacy database, it is necessary for the easy connection between XML application and database system. In Oracle8i, 9i, Informix and SQL2000, DBMS vendors make upgrade to DBMS for using XML. This method of upgrade between XML application and database system is Platform-dependent and DBMS-dependent. Also It is necessary for the method of the platform- and DBMS-independent connection between XML application and database system. The methods for the connection between XML DTD and RDB schema are studied for the easy connection between XML application and database system. But the study for the easy connection between XML DTD and ORDB schema is a little. For multimedia application, we use the extended DBMS from RDBMS. It is necessary for the study to the transformation from XML DTD to ORDB schema. In this paper, for easier connection between XML application and database system, we propose the method of the transformation from XML DTD to ORDB schema using Object Model.

XML의 등장으로 인터넷의 제2의 혁명을 가져올 것이라는 기대는 XML 스키마 정의 언어가 표준화됨으로써 현실적으로 실현 가능하게 되었다. XML 스키마를 설계하는 것은 DTD를 설계하는 것보다 더 복잡하며 더 많은 정보가 제공되게 된다. 이에 XML 스키마를 모델링하는 도구들이 등장하고 있으며, 이 도구는 일반적인 모델링 도구와는 다른 기능이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 \"설계 후 즉시 개발\"이라는 XML 응용 프로그램 개발 방법론을 제안하고, 이를 XSD4j에서 구현하였다. XSD4j를 사용하면 개발자는 쉽고 개념적인 수준의 스키마를 모델링할 수 있다. 또한, XML 문서를 위한 XML 저장매체 스키마의 생성 및 XML 문서와 응용 프로그램간의 표준적인 인터페이스인 DOM API를 얻을 수 있어 XML 응용 프로그램의 작성을 쉽게 할 수 있다.쉽게 할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study aims at the development of architectural design thinking which has been studied in the Kant's Epistemology to examine the Schema theories. In this point of view, the related theories are reviewed through Expression Form, representation of architectural knowledge and so on. One of these words, the Schema that formed by transcendental an Experience and Memory of transcendental an Experience, not only Play an important Part in the designer's thinking system about a specific problem but also appeared by distinctive features(image) and included by connotation as like a designer's ideology. Speaking briefly, thinking of a designer familiar with us as abstract confusion can be confined such methodological tools as schema, and image, etc., which we can easily understand the relationship among them through mechanism of Kant's [Concept-Schema-Intuition]. Evidences collected from case studies and its application on architectural design yield following results. First, design thinking can be defined as Kant's Epistemology composed of the schema and its extended factors(architectural-schema). Second, design thinking can be revealed different characteristics depending on the degree of the schema and architectural-schema. Lastly, the methodology will be proposed after application of the result to architects' works.

이질 데이터베이스 통합 방법론의 하나인 미디에이터-램퍼 시스템은 각 데이터베이스의 내용이 물리적으로 이동하는 대신, 가상의 통합된 뷰를 유지한다. 미디에이터는 가상의 통합된 뷰를 유지하기 위하여, 지역 데이터베이스와 직접 통신하는 랩퍼의 스키마 관리기의 도움이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 미디에이터에게 관계형 데이터베이스의 스키마를 XML 스키마로 제공하는 랩퍼의 스키마 관리기를 설계 구현한 결과를 제시한다. 설계된 XML 스키마 관리기가 사용자 정의 XML 뷰를 지원하도록 하기 위하여 사용자 정의 XML 뷰로부터 XML 스키마를 생성하기 위한 뷰 트리 모델을 제시하고, 그 변환 알고리즘을 제시한다. 제시된 모델은 이질의 정보원의 스키마 관리기에 대하여 일관되게 적용할 수 있다.

상이한 메타데이터형식 상호간 어의적인 연계성을 확보하는 일은 메타데이터의 재사용성을 가능하게 할 뿐 아니라 메타데이타 처리에 일관성을 제공할 수 있다는 점에서 대단히 중요한 요인이라 할 수 있다. 이를 위해 RDF에 대한 제반 특성을 검토하고, 어의적 연계성을 위한 공통요소를 추출하였다. 이들 공통요소를 RDF스키마명세와 구문명세에 기반하여 공통스키마로 설계함으로써 어의적 연계성을 확보한 메타데이터스키마 설계에 기반으로 삼았으며, 공통스키마의 활용을 제시하기 위해 KORMARC를 표본으로 스키마를 설계하였다.

분산되어 있거나 이기종의 데이터베이스 통합을 위해 많은 연구가 수행되었으며, 특히 데이터베이스 통합을 위해 데이터베이스의 스키마 매칭이 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 해양GIS 데이터베이스 통합을 위해 해양GIS 데이터베이스 구조를 XML 응용스키마로 변환하고 유사도 측정법과 relaxation labeling 기법을 이용하여 매칭 방법을 연구하였다. XML 응용스키마의 항목 간 유사도 측정은 각 항목이 가지고 있는 범주와 속성으로 계산하며, 각 항목이 계층간 의미적 연계관계를 적용하기 위하여 relaxation labeling 기법을 이용하여 초기 유사도 측정값에 반복적으로 적용하여 유사도 측정값의 변이를 측정하였다. 본 연구에서는 해양GIS 메타데이터 응용 스키마의 예시를 들어 알고리즘을 통한 매칭을 시도하였고, 실험 결과 알고리즘에 따른 초기 계산 값의 변화를 확인하였다.

오늘날 산업의 발전에 따라 제품의 개발에서 생산 및 판매에 이르기까지의 모든 과정을 컴퓨터를 통해 일원적으로 관리할 수 있는 환경을 구축하는 것이 중요해지고 있다. 특히 PDTnet XML 스키마는 PDM(Product Data Management) 데이터를 교환하기 위한 국제 표준으로써, 이 스키마에 따라 작성된 XML 데이터를 효율적으로 처리하는 것이 필수적이다. 그러나 PDTnet XML 스키마는 기존의 XML 스키마와는 달리 IDREF/IDREFS 속성이 비정규적이기 때문에 이를 효율적으로 다루기 위해서는 어떠한 저장장치에 어떠한 방식으로 저장하느냐가 중용한 요인이라고 할 수 있다. 우리는 안정성 있는 성능을 보장 받고 있어 널리 사용되고 있는 관계형 데이터베이스를 이용하여, PDTnet XML스키마의 고유 속성을 살려 다양한 타입의 질의를 지원할 수 있는 저장 기법을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서 개발하고 구현한 저장 기법을 PDTnet XML 스키마를 따르는 데이터 외에도, 구조가 불규칙적이거나, 참조 속성을 이용하여 데이터 중복을 최소화 시킬 필요가 있는 XML 데이터를 다루는 모든 응용에 적용되어 효율적인 데이터 관리를 가능케 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study presents a schema matching technique which can be applied to XML semantic model of structural calculation reports of steel-box bridges. The semantic model of structural calculation documents was developed by extracting the optimized common elements from the analyses of various existing structural calculation documents, and the standardized semantic model was schematized by using XML Schema. In addition, the similarity measure technique and the relaxation labeling technique were employed to develop the schema matching algorithm. The former takes into account the element categories and their features, and the latter considers the structural constraints in the semantic model. The standardized XML semantic model of steel-box bridge's structural calculation documents called target schema was compared with existing nonstandardized structural calculation documents called primitive schema by the developed schema matching algorithm Some application examples show the importance of the development of standardized target schema for structural calculation documents and the effectiveness and efficiency of schema matching technique in the examination of the degree of document standardization in structural calculation reports.

This paper presents a prototype of document schema to guarantee the consistency of the bridge design information during the life-cycle of bridge. The main component of document schema for bridge design information is derived from the Document Type Definition (DTD) Pool which is the Construction CALS/EC standard in Korea and the document schema is implemented by using the XML Schema. The ifcXML are adopted for representing product data of bridge. A pilot system adopting the document schema and its application to existing bridge show that the suggested document schema can be efficiently used to develop software modules supporting the integrated design documents for bridges.
