In this paper, we introduce the concept of web-based simulation and some reviews on the distributed simulation on the World Wide Web (WWW) and classify the features of current web-based simulation under the distributed way. And then we suggest the structure of distributed web-based simulation which can achieve parallel simulation and reduce simulation run time and show how the callback mechanism works to enable the distributions of jobs to clients with push service in Remote Method Invocation (RMI). Finally we present a prototype of distributed web-based simulation.

In this paper, we present the application of knowledge-based system technique for generating of PLC ladder diagram The developed prototype system receives a time chart as an input and generates a ladder logic as its output This results in the computerization and intellegent processing of PLC programming. The system can be effectively applied to sequence control where the PLC programs need to be frequently changed and generated.

The shipbuilding industry is one of the domains which need an effective computer application. Particularly the productivity of process planning of a shipbuilding for crude -oil tanker can be greatly enhanced by introducing CAPP(Computer Aied Process Planning). In this paper we describe a prototype expert system which enables block division process planning in shipbuilding. The system determines block division lines of the midship sections of oiltanker. Case-based reasoning(CBR) approach is applied for this purpose instead of rule-based one.

This paper presents a Prototype system developed for a Bluetooth interfaced VoIP system. The VoIP phone is developed based on tile implementation of a CELP coder on the TI 16bit DSP Processor A PC interfaced with Bluetooth module is used to designing a access point system. Host controller protocol stack is implemented to realize gateway between the wireless and wired line networks. A server application program for user management and call processing, which is based on TCP/IP peer to peer connection, is implemented for tile evaluation of overall interface system.

In this paper, an application of asymmetrical duty control method to a boost input type active clamp DC-DC converter is discussed. In order to verify the discussed results, a 50W prototype converter is built and is tested. Through the experimental results an asymmetrical controlled boost input type active clamp converter is validated.

A prototype of OGC Web Map Service and Web Feature Service is developed by NEC Aerospace Systems, Ltd. under the contract from NASDA and RESTEC. The server provides satellite imagery data taken by JERS-1 and ADEOS satellite, via OGC interfaces to the client. The related features are also available to the client through the Internet with OGC interfaces. The imagery, map and feature data is handled layer by layer at the client. OGC Web Map Service and Web Feature Service interoperability capability and applicability to Digital Asia Network are demonstrated.

The user interface is an important factor in providing efficient services to application users. In particular, mobile applications that can be executed anytime and anywhere have a higher priority of usability than applications in other domains.Previous studies have used prototype and storyboard methods to improve the usability of applications. However, this approach has limitations in continuously identifying and improving the usability problems of a particular application. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a usability analysis method using touch gesture data. It could identify and improve the UI / UX problem of the application continuously by grasping the intention of the user after the application is distributed.

XML Schema which enables the second revolution of Internet with XML rapidly emerging as a standard for XML document structure modeling. XML Schema modeling has more complex structures and information than DTD modeling. In this reason, XML Schema modeling tool which has some more specialized functionalities others is needed. In this paper, we have developed the XML application development method called \"Design and develop\" and implemented the prototype system named XSD4j which supports UML based XML Schema modeling and provides a XML application development platform. Using XSD4j, developers can get an easy and conceptual schema modeling method, XML storage schema for XML document, and persistent DOM API which is a standard interface between document and application program.n program.

Visible light identification (VLID) is a user identification system for a door lock application using smartphone that adopts visible light communication (VLC) technology with the objective of high security, small form factor, and cost effectiveness. The user is verified by the identification application program of a smartphone via fingerprint recognition or password entry. If the authentication succeeds, the corresponding encoded visible light signals are transmitted by a light emitting diode (LED) camera flash. Then, only a small size and low cost photodiode as an outdoor interface converts the light signal to the digital data along with a comparator, and runs the authentication process, and releases the lock. VLID can utilize powerful state-of-the-art hardware and software of smartphones. Furthermore, the door lock system is allowed to be easily upgraded with advanced technologies without its modification and replacement. It can be upgraded by just update the software of smartphone application or replacing the smartphone with the latest one. Additionally, wireless connection between a smartphone and a smart home hub is established automatically via Bluetooth for updating the password and controlling the home devices. In this paper, we demonstrate a prototype VLID door lock system that is built up with LEGO blocks, a photodiode, a comparator circuit, Bluetooth module, and FPGA board.

We study the RFID network system in a construction site, and study the connection method between the RFID network system and the integrated information system of construction material. Moreover, we developed a prototype of the construction site RFID server for the management of construction materials and performed the pilot application in a construction site. Through the pilot application, it was known that the proposed RFID network system can be more usefully applied in the construction sites. The results of the pilot application show that the RFID network system is faster, more accurate, and more reliable than the existing system of information management and achieves improvement in construction productivity.
