  • PURPOSE. To verify the influence of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) implant-supported prostheses manufactured with cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) and zirconia (Zr), and whether ceramic application, spark erosion, and simulation of masticatory cycles modify biomechanical parameters (marginal fit, screw-loosening torque, and strain) on the implant-supported system. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Ten full-arch fixed frameworks were manufactured by a CAD/CAM milling system with Co-Cr and Zr (n=5/group). The marginal fit between the abutment and frameworks was measured as stated by single-screw test. Screw-loosening torque evaluated screw stability, and strain analysis was explored on the implant-supported system. All analyses were performed at 3 distinct times: after framework manufacturing; after ceramic application in both materials' frameworks; and after the spark erosion in Co-Cr frameworks. Afterward, stability analysis was re-evaluated after 106 mechanical cycles (2 Hz/150-N) for both materials. Statistical analyses were performed by Kruskal-Wallis and Dunn tests (α=.05). RESULTS. No difference between the two materials was found for marginal fit, screwloosening torque, and strain after framework manufacturing (P>.05). Ceramic application did not affect the variables (P>.05). Spark erosion optimized marginal fit and strain medians for Co-Cr frameworks (P<.05). Screw-loosening torque was significantly reduced by masticatory simulation (P<.05) regardless of the framework materials. CONCLUSION. Co-Cr and Zr frameworks presented similar biomechanical behavior. Ceramic application had no effect on the biomechanical behavior of either material. Spark erosion was an effective technique to improve Co-Cr biomechanical behavior on the implant-supported system. Screw-loosening torque was reduced for both materials after masticatory simulation.

  • In traditional eccentrically braced steel frames, damages and plastic deformations are limited to the links and the main structure members are required tremendous sizes to ensure elasticity with no damage based on the force-based seismic design method, this limits the practical application of the structure. The high strength steel frames with eccentric braces refer to Q345 (the nominal yield strength is 345 MPa) steel used for links, and Q460 steel utilized for columns and beams in the eccentrically brace steel frames, the application of high strength steels not only brings out better economy and higher strength, but also wider application prospects in seismic fortification zone. Here, the structures with four type eccentric braces are chosen, including K-type, Y-type, D-type and V-type. These four types EBFs have various performances, such as stiffness, bearing capacity, ductility and failure mode. To evaluate the seismic behavior of the high strength steel frames with variable eccentric braces within the similar performance objectives, four types EBFs with 4-storey, 8-storey, 12-storey and 16-storey were designed by performance-based seismic design method. The nonlinear static behavior by pushover analysis and dynamic performance by time history analysis in the SAP2000 software was applied. A total of 11 ground motion records are adopted in the time history analysis. Ground motions representing three seismic hazards: first, elastic behavior in low earthquake hazard level for immediate occupancy, second, inelastic behavior of links in moderate earthquake hazard level for rapid repair, and third, inelastic behavior of the whole structure in very high earthquake hazard level for collapse prevention. The analyses results indicated that all structures have similar failure mode and seismic performance.

  • It is important that desktop grids should be able to aggressively deal with the dynamic properties that arise from the volatility and heterogeneity of resources. Therefore, it is required that task scheduling be able to positively consider the execution behavior that is characterized by an individual resource. In this paper, we implement a log analysis system with REST web services, which can analyze the execution behavior by utilizing the actual log data of desktop grid systems. To verify the log analysis system, we conducted simulations and showed that the resource group-based task scheduling, based on the analysis of the execution behavior, offers a faster turnaround time than the existing one even if few resources are used.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate variables affecting on rationality of consumption behavior of adolescent consumers. The findings from data analysis can be summarized as follows: 1) The degree of the rationality of whole consumption behavior, buying behavior, using behavior and disposing behavior is not so high. Especially the degree of making a buying plan before they buy gathering information according to buying plan and applying gathered information is low but presenting a claim for inferior goods is high. Adolescent consumers don't tend to use products to the end and to exchange or donate disusing products. 2) According to the result of multiple regression analysis, sex, grade, application of advertisement, influence of parents, saving value, conspicuous value, pro-environmental value, aesthetic value, enjoyable value are variables affecting on the rationality of consumption behavior of adolescent consumers.

  • Social costs analysis seeks to reveal the environmental effects of transportation policy. It delivers a sense of the effects of the public's daily travel and the costs that are or would be incurred from individual trips. Moreover, the accumulated total number of trips will uncover the effects of travel on society. This article shows the quantitative analysis of the economic outcomes of travel using social costs estimation methods. In order to support urban planning tasks, this research implemented analysis tool for social costs estimation by travel behavior. For a case study, a jave based application which can convert people's trip data into social costs is developed. the application used for simulating student-housing effects by estimating social costs changes. The analysis included the attributes, building scale and locational changes of the student housing as well as transforms of the students' trips.

  • This study finds the characteristics of long-term settlement of Bottom Ash and to review the application of Singh-Mitchell creep equation and Burgers Model to the creep behavior of Bottom Ash. In the undrained state, it was confirmed that creep behavior appeared in the range to 30-80 % of the maximum deviator stress by applying condition in other three stresses through triaxial compression test after isotropically consolidation. By using sieve analysis, it was compared to each sample that was passed through 9.5 mm, 2 mm, 0.25 mm sieves. Also, using Singh-Mitchell creep equation and Burgers Model, it was compared between the theoretical behavior and the observed behavior for each sample. In the result, it is found that creep behavior of Bottom Ash is similar to the theoretical behavior of Singh-Mitchell creep equation and Burgers Model in early stage and it is possible to predict creep behavior of Bottom Ash by these models.

  • With the rapid development of mobile Internet, smart phones have been widely popularized, among which Android platform dominates. Due to it is open source, malware on the Android platform is rampant. In order to improve the efficiency of malware detection, this paper proposes deep learning Android malicious detection system based on behavior features. First of all, the detection system adopts the static analysis method to extract different types of behavior features from Android applications, and extract sensitive behavior features through Term frequency-inverse Document Frequency algorithm for each extracted behavior feature to construct detection features through unified abstract expression. Secondly, Long Short-Term Memory neural network model is established to select and learn from the extracted attributes and the learned attributes are used to detect Android malicious applications, Analysis and further optimization of the application behavior parameters, so as to build a deep learning Android malicious detection method based on feature analysis. We use different types of features to evaluate our method and compare it with various machine learning-based methods. Study shows that it outperforms most existing machine learning based approaches and detects 95.31% of the malware.

  • This paper describes the weldability and mechanical behavior of JIS S45C medium carbon steel (corresponding to KS SM45C and SAE 1045) for machine structures in CW Nd:YAG laser welding. ill general, medium carbon steels have a limited application to the industrial fields in spite of good mechanical characteristics. This is due to welding difficulty because of the high carbon contents and impurities in this material. Therefore, in this study the laser weldability of medium carbon steel with adjusted contents of S and P has been investigated in order to extend the application to medium carbon steels. Several experiments and numerical simulations have been conducted to determine the characteristics of mechanical behavior in CW Nd:YAG laser welds. The results of the simulations concur with the experiment results. From the result of this study, the application possibility of CW Nd:YAG laser welding to medium carbon steel has been confirmed. Also, the appropriateness of mechanical behavior simulation has been verified to analyze and predict the welding phenomena.
