Development and Application of Software Education Program of App Inventor Utilization for Improvement of Elementary School Girls' Computational Thinking (초등학교 여학생의 컴퓨팅적 사고력 신장을 위한 앱인벤터 활용 S/W교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용)

  • In this study, we presented a App Inventor utilization Software Education program in the process of education for Computational Thinking improvement of elementary school girls. In order to analyze the effects of education programs that have been developed, to elect the 3, 4, 5 grade girls of the sample of volunteers by volunteers form collection as an experimental population, was charged with the development programs, and It was analyzed educational effect using the results of the pre-post tests. The results of the analysis, App Inventor utilization Software Education program that was developed in this study it was found that help in Computational Thinking kidney of elementary school girls.

An exploratory analysis and usability evaluation of fashion mobile applications - Focus on Korea and U.S. App stores -

  • The aim of this study was to find typology of fashion-related mobile applications through exploratory investigation and to investigate differences in Korea and U.S. App stores. And then, through the qualitative evaluation about fashion mobile applications, this study proposes fashion mobile application's design and contents which can be preferred by users. By conducting keyword search in each store, 122 Korean applications and 150 US applications were analyzed. Empirical findings revealed that there were seven major types of fashion mobile applications: brand, magazine, information, SNS, game, shopping and coordination. Information type applications took up the largest portion, and SNS and game type applications showed higher ranking among customers. There were more game Apps in US and more shopping Apps in Korean stores. More free Apps were found in Korean App stores, whereas relatively more paid Apps were found in US App stores especially in game, magazine and information type applications. And as a result of usability evaluation of fashion mobile application, users prefer SNS and information category application to shopping and brand category. Also users want continuous improvement and new contents for fashion mobile application.

  • With the global COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism sector and all consumption have contracted with the untact era. Wine will also be sold and developed in various ways non-face-to-face in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to develop apps and web servers that focus on health in the era of single-person households and non-face-to-face. This study used facial recognition data based on photos of adult men and women in their 40s and 50s to analyze the Sasang constitution through a mobile app and web server, and suggested wine recommendations suitable for their constitution. First, the user's body information is entered. And through the facial recognition mobile app, recommend the right wine after analyzing the body type. if it's not like the first recommended wine, it is configured to receive another wine recommendation. In the future, the number of single-person households will increase further, and in the age of well-being, wine recommendations that fit my body will be useful.   • Customized service is a vital and mandatory element for apps in improving their technical performance and app customer analysis. While apps require users' consent for their data extraction and usage, many of the terms and agreement forms are written intricately, making it harder for users to fully understand the whole concept of users' data collection for customized services. Ever since the Facebook-Cambridge Analytica scandal, personal data privacy has been re-examined, forcing many app companies to reinforce a reliable solution to data privacy issues. However, there has not been a secured solution, which worries many people about the future advanced issues when metaverse platforms are actively used in daily apps. The research aims to collect the reactions and behaviors of everyday app users who utilize apps with customized services to understand the nature of privacy data issues and the users' opinions about the future implementation of metaverse platforms. The method of the research was an online questionnaire that targeted university students. The study revealed many fearful and anxious reactions about personal data and further metaverse issues where most app users were uneducated about how current apps collect and utilize users' private data.

Development of Android Smart Phone App for Analysis of Remote Sensing Images (위성영상정보 분석을 위한 안드로이드 스마트폰 앱 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an Android smartphone app providing analysis capabilities of remote sensing images, by using mobile browsing open sources of gvSIG, open source remote sensing software of OTB and open source DBMS of PostgreSQL. In this app, five kinds of remote sensing algorithms for filtering, segmentation, or classification are implemented, and the processed results are also stored and managed in image database to retrieve. Smartphone users can easily use their functions through graphical user interfaces of app which are internally linked to application server for image analysis processing and external DBMS. As well, a practical tiling method for smartphone environments is implemented to reduce delay time between user's requests and its processing server responses. Till now, most apps for remotely sensed image data sets are mainly concerned to image visualization, distinguished from this approach providing analysis capabilities. As the smartphone apps with remote sensing analysis functions for general users and experts are widely utilizing, remote sensing images are regarded as information resources being capable of producing actual mobile contents, not potential resources. It is expected that this study could trigger off the technological progresses and other unique attempts to develop the variety of smartphone apps for remote sensing images.

  • Virtualization lacks capabilities for enabling the application to scale efficiently because of new applications components which are raised to be configured on demand. In this paper, we propose an architecture that affords mobile app based on nomadic smartphone using not only mobile cloud computing-cloudlet architecture but also a dedicated platform that relies on using virtual private mobile networks to provide reliable connectivity through Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless communication. The design architecture lies with how the cloudlet host discovers service and sends out the cloudlet IP and port while locating the user mobile device. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed architecture by implementing an android application responsible of real time analysis by using a vehicle to applications smart phones interface approach that considers the smartphones to act as a remote users which passes driver inputs and delivers outputs from external applications.

  • This study aims to provide implications for mobile foreign language vocabulary learning app by analyzing the effects of mobile vocabulary learning app based on character animation. For this purpose, we applied the learning application designed with character animation and text, and the application designed with text only to two groups of learners, and analyzed the effect. As a result, we found that application designed with character animation and text was useful in recognition frequency and duration concerning learning. Regarding learning outcomes, we found that it is useful not only in memory but also in learning interest and motivation. This study provides implications for learning method and design development of mobile-based foreign language vocabulary learning application which actively using recently.

A Probabilistic Test based Detection Scheme against Automated Attacks on Android In-app Billing Service

  • Android platform provides In-app Billing service for purchasing valuable items inside mobile applications. However, it has become a major target for attackers to achieve valuable items without actual payment. Especially, application developers suffer from automated attacks targeting all the applications in the device, not a specific application. In this paper, we propose a novel scheme detecting automated attacks with probabilistic tests. The scheme tests the signature verification method in a non-deterministic way, and if the method was replaced by the automated attack, the scheme detects it with very high probability. Both the analysis and the experiment result show that the developers can prevent their applications from automated attacks securely and efficiently by using of the proposed scheme.

  • This research shows how the perception of digital shadow work varies depending on the user's period of use of digital services in applications, which are key areas of digital services. The purpose of this research is to investigate how the digital shadow work type changes over time. This research adopted a qualitative research method for location-based service "help application" users and examined the change in perception from the app service acceptance stage to the app service continuous use stage with two-times interviews of ten users by a longitudinal research design. This study conducted a longitudinal analysis focusing on how digital shadow work occurs in the application subscription process, exploring phenomenologically how the type changes throughout the process over time.

Through the analysis, this study suggests an infant care application which provides information efficiently. It causes useful that people in need can gather information conveniently through this application. Furthermore, it offers opportunities to contribute to the society.
