  • The purpose of this study was to explore the periodic changes of apartment supply between 1980 and 2001 in the City of Donghae. A survey was conducted with 82 apartment complexes that were built in during 21years. The data were itemized and specified by the unit house area, story, periodic and local apartment distribution. They were classified by five:(5) periods and analyzed by each apartment complexes for building characteristics. There were found that apartment housing were influenced by many primary factors such as demographics and a lot of the housing politics etc. The results of this study were as follows: 1) Apartment supply in the City of Donghae mass-produced from 1980 to 2001; Especially the forth period was supplied 5,999 households. 2) Between south area and north area was found a regional disparity. 3) The exclusive use $34{\sim}66m^{2}$ were continuously and centrally supplied according to the housing policy and practical demand. 4) For the types of story were variously found ; Especially the below 5 story apartment was continuously supplied.

  • In the present study, we developed optimal heat supply algorithm which minimizes the heat loss through the distribution pipe line in group energy apartment. Heating load variation of group energy apartment building in accordance with outdoor air temperature was predicted by the correlation obtained from calorimeter measurements of whole households of apartment building. Supply water temperature and mass flow rate were conjugately controlled to minimize the heat loss rate through distribution pipe line. Group heating apartment located in Hwaseong city, Korea, which has 1,473 households divided in 4 regions, was selected as the object apartment for verifying the present heat supply control algorithm. Compared to the original heat supply system, 10.4% heat loss rate reduction can be accomplished by employing the present control algorithm.

  • The estimation of reasonable amount of domestic cold water and hot water supplies in apartment houses is very important for the economical design of domestic cold water and hot water supply system which include pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, and various water reservoirs. To suggest the model of predicting reasonable amount of domestic cold water and hot water supplies, residents and actual domestic cold water and hot water consumption have been investigated for 740 apartment houses in Seoul and Bun-Dang, Kyunggi-Do. The model is suggested as a function of exclusive area of the apartment house and results of the model show generally good agreement with published data.

  • Continuing to the modeling of heating load, this paper, as the second part of consecutive works, presents LS-SVM (least square support vector machine) based model of winter time apartment hot water supply load in a district heating system, so as to be used in prediction of heating energy usage. Similar, but more severely, to heating load, hot water supply load varies in highly nonlinear manner. Such nonlinearity makes analytical model of it hardly exist in the literatures. LS-SVM is known as a good modeling tool for the system, especially for the nonlinear system depended by many independent factors. We collect 26,208 data of hot water supply load over a 13-week period in winter time, from 12 heat exchangers in seven different apartments. Then part of the collected data were used to construct LS-SVM based model and the rest of those were used to test the formed model accuracy. In modeling, we first constructed the model of district heating system's hot water supply load, using the unit heating area's hot water supply load of seven apartments. Such model will be used to estimate the total hot water supply load of which the district heating system needs to provide. Then the individual apartment hot water supply load model is also formed, which can be used to predict and to control the energy consumption of the individual apartment. The results obtained show that the total hot water supply load, which will be provided by the district heating system in winter time, can be predicted within 10% in MAPE (mean absolute percentage error). Also the individual apartment models can predict the individual apartment energy consumption for hot water supply load within 10% ~ 20% in MAPE.

  • The study focuses on the problems of store space supply in apartment sites and suggests policy directions for the problem. Based on the results of field survey and site reconnaissance, this study identifies following problems and policy directions. First, the stores do not meet consumers various demand due to item limitations with small size. Consequently, there are many closed and/or unsold stores with high vacancy rates, Second, there is a tendency that the closed store rate becomes higher as apartment size becomes smaller. We suggest some law and regulation amendment that make store supply optional rather than mandatory in the case of small apartment site construction.

  • This study aims to propose appropriate evaluating method of noise emission from water supply and drain installations in apartment bathroom. Because KS(Korean Standard) about water installations noise in apartment bathroom only are establishing the measurement procedure of it, Evaluation and rating procedure is necessary to improve the sound insulation performance of the apartment and to reduce the apartment dweller's unsatisfaction with the noise. Thus, this study reviewed the standards and evaluating methods about the water supply and drain installations noise of many other country. We measured the noise emission from the installations in many apartment bathroom, and then we calculated the noises to dB(A), N, NC evaluated numbers. We analyze the coefficient of the corelation among the evaluated numbers to induce the appropriate method. As a result, the dB(A) method is most easy to evaluateing and very high corelated wth N and N index, So the dB(A) method is suitable to be adopted KS evaluating procedure of noise emission from water installations in apartment bathroom.

  • This study aims to propose appropriate evaluating method of noise emission from water supply and drain installations in apartment bathroom. The measurement procedure of water installations noise in apartment bathroom were established, so it is necessary to provide the evaluating method and criteria to improve the sound insulation performance of the apartment and to reduce the apartment dweller's unsatisfaction with the noise. Thus, this study reviewed the standards and evaluating methods about the water supply and drain installations noise of many other country. After measuring the noise emission from the installations in many apartment bathroom, The noise were evaluated dB(A), N, NC index, To induce the appropriate method, the coefficient of the correlation among the evaluated numbers were analyzed. • The water supply galvanized steel pipes of apartment buildings in Bucheon city constructed with building permission before 1994 have many problems such as leaks, the water containing rust, and low water pressure due to corrosion. Therefore, this study aims to find a way to renew the water supply pipes under investigation through a survey. As a result, when replacing the galvanized steel pipe with the corrosion-resistant pipe, the water supply system should also be changed from the gravity tank system to the booster pump system and the hygienic water storage tank. It is necessary to redraft the long-term repair plan including the replacement of the water supply system. Also, it is necessary to save the allowance reserve according to the modified long-term repair plan.

  • Survey questionnaires were conducted on housewives under 60 who had bought an apartment in Daegu. The data used in this study is collected Dalseo-Gu, Soosung-Gu and Buk-Gu by means of cluster sampling and from those chosen samples I use convenience sampling. The data were analyzed by SPSS WIN 10.0 program. The purpose of this study is to examine housing characteristics and apartment choice as a social class closely in order to improve value of apartment and to provide housing plan of apartment supply which is distinguished by a social class and moreover, to achieve efficient marketing strategy according to a recent recognition that housing is a kind of commodities. Objective and subjective measure of value are used to classify a social class. Objective measure of value includes scale apartment, a form of possession, a price of apartment, an occupation of husband, family income and academic background and subjective measure of value includes the standard of living out of people's own head. These measure of value are classified by giving consequence to each item with reference to ISC (index of status characteristics) of Wanner. There is a difference of housing characteristics and apartment choice as a social class as a consequence of this study. Therefore, this study suggests repeatedly that it should need not standardized housing supply but apartment supply of diverse demand desire because there is a difference of housing characteristics and apartment choice as a social class.
