A Study of Real-Time Video Streaming Data Service on the Linux Server (리눅스 서버를 이용한 동영상 데이터 실시간 스트리밍 서비스 연구)

  • This paper suggests a method of developing live media streaming service through Linux server system on android system environment. The android application constructed in the experiment is able to record media while sending it to Linux server. Generated real time media data is send to linux server through Multipart Request class of Apache Tomcat server constructed on Linux system. Also in this research, by utilizing Android video player and media player class, development of android application structures was accomplished, which has methods of; playing live media stream data on video server, or playing live media stream data while saving stream data in cache. The structure and function of suggested system and application is confirmed by series of experiments.

A Design of Mobile Web Server Framework for SOAP Transaction and Performance Enhancement in Web2.0 (웹2.0에서 SOAP 처리와 성능 향상을 위한 모바일 웹 서버 프레임워크의 설계)

  • Existing web server lowers the whole capacity of system because of the problem on the processing load of server by closing connection increasing code handshake operation, and remarkable decrease of server capacity if it is the state of overload. Also, there occurs disadvantages of increasing connection tine about client's request and response time because handling of client's multi-requests is not smooth because of thread block and it requests a lot of time and resources for revitalization of thread. Therefore, this paper proposes the extended web server which provides the technique for delay handling and improves the overload of server for better system capacity, communication support, and the unification which is the advantage of web service. And it evaluates the existing system(implemented at Tomcat 5.5) and the proposed mobile web server architecture. The extended server architecture provides excellent exchange condition for system capacity and evaluates improved web server architecture which combines multi-thread with thread pool. The proposed web service architecture in this paper got the better result of improved capacity benefit than the evaluation result of original Tomcat 5.5.

  • 본 논문은 공개소스 기반의 WAS 구성의 핵심인 Tomcat, JBoss, PostgreSQL, Apache 등을 한국형 공개SW 표준 플랫폼 BOOYO 상에 효과적으로 탑재하고 SPECjAppServer2004 벤치마크를 실시하여 외산 제품과 성능을 비교 한다. 벤치마크 결과 부하가 증가할수록 성능 측정단위인 JOPS가 기존의 공개SW플랫폼에 비하여 현저히 덜 하락하는 결과를 보이며 비교적 우수한 결과를 나타내었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 벤치마크를 실시하기 위하여 구축한 시험용 WAS의 구성 내용과 아울러 그 결과를 보다 상세히 기술한다.

Prototyping of Community Mapping for Enabling Response to Urban Flood

  • Recently, there has been growing interest in public participation GIS (Geographic Information System) technology that enables spontaneous public response to increasingly frequent flood and drought events. Accordingly, social and economic demands are increasing on portal services that are designed to help cope with natural hazards such as earthquakes. By focusing on a specific hazard, urban flood, this study designed a prototype of a disaster response portal and its service system. The community map developed in this study is focused on prevention and mitigation of the urban flood damage by analyzing the vulnerable areas, and providing effective means to inspect the roads and sewer systems. By considering the compatibility with VGI (Volunteered Geographic Information) portals, the study created a system environment by employing universally used open-source software programs such as Apache Tomcat, GeoServer, GeoNetwork, and PostgreSQL/PostGIS.

  • SGS (Splicing Graph Server) is as web application based on the MVC architecture with a Java platform. The specifications of the implemented design pattern are closely associated with the specific requirements of splicing graphs for analyzing alternative splice variants from a single gene. The paper presents the use of MVC architecture using JavaBeans as a model, with a JSP viewer and the servlet as the controller for this bioinformatics web application, with the open source apache/tomcat application server and a MySql database management system.

  • In the existing design of web server architecture, data encryption technique is used to keep the reliability, stability, and safety of web service. But the use of data encryption technique wastes the work of cpu while decreasing throughput of web server and increasing average response time so that it shows negative effect on the capacity of web application server. Also, the latest web applications require security and safety for the safe internet communication. Therefore, this paper suggests the improved web server which uses thread pool and Non-blocking I/O adding new web service modules to the existing web server for the safe web service, provides reliability and safety to show the safe web service capacity. And we compare and evaluate the safety and capacity through experiment on the existing traditional Tomcat based web server and the proposed system to evaluate the safety and capacity of the proposed web server system.

A High-Speed Message Processing System for Mobile Web Services (모바일 웹 서비스를 위한 고속 메시지 처리 시스템)

  • A standard Web server or web application servers require the Web Servlet container to execute SOAP messages. But it requires additional process to make web service modules and need communication port. Also, Recently many web applications is becoming increasingly demand against the dynamic document than the static documnet. But a recent study has found that Apache Web Server always does not show the better performance. The more it have the dynamic documents, rather it can show worse performance. To solve this problem, we propose a new High-Speed Message Processing System, in which the SOAP_MP and the WSDL builder are used. The WSDL builder convert HTML/XML to WSDL files automatically and the SOAP_MP minimize SOAP massage processing time by eliminating the Tomcat Servlet container in the mobile Web Services implementation. We compare and analyze the System, which was proposed by us, with the standard Web Service system.

  • Recently, the mobile Internet is rapidly changing environment in a user's web server performance requires frequent connection is difficult because the proper response is needed to improve the performance of web services engine. Therefore, the goal of this paper is to improve the performance of web services for the installation of additional access to users regardless of tomcat servlet container and process the request and to shorten processing time of SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) message of the server structure to of for web mobile services. The web-sever structure is consists of user demand receiver, web document processor, SOAP protocol processor, NBTM(Non-Blocking and Thread Manager) manager, session manager. The system fully supports a standard web-service protocol, reduces the message processing time and communication overhead of mobile web-service system in Web 2.0 and overhead of server, and confirms the improvement of capability by comparing and evaluating Web 2.0 standard mobile web-service system through delaying achievement evaluation by the experiment of realization in Web 2.0 environment.

  • ITA (Information Technology Architecture) satisfies the requirements of information system, supports the information used in the institution's business to guarantee the interoperability and security, and analyzes the components of information system. ITA consists of EA (Enterprise Architecture), TRM (Technical Reference Manual) and SP (Standard Profile). The SP, one of the major components of ITA, is a set of information technology standards. In this paper, to construct and utilize the ITA, we mention the applications of information technology about the SP system implementation based on the TRM. The SP management system implemented in this paper is the first trial in Korea, and designs the software with object oriented programming languages such as JSP and Java. Moreover the basic and detailed specification based on the UML notation, system design using the component and system design pattern consisting of software architectures enhance the software reusability. And the constructed system in this paper shows less maintenance cost by using the public softwares such as Linux system, Korean DBMS, Apache and Tomcat, etc. Finally, the system includes the SP reference system which is used in the other institutions and cannot be found in other institutions. Also it includes the additional diverse service modules which support the subsequent processing for the establishment and revision of standards via internet.
