하도 및 상도 수지에 따른 폴리아닐린 방청도료의 특성 (Characteristics of Polyaniline Anti-Corrosive Coatings with Primer and Top Coating Resins)

  • Characteristics of polyaniline anti-corrosive coatings with various primer coating resins(epoxy resin, urethane resin, and others) and top coating resins(epoxy and acrylic urethane resins) were investigated through adhesion, acid resistance, alkaline resistance, water resistance, and anti-corrosion tests. As a result, the anti-corrosive properties of the prepared coatings using polyaniline varied with the types of primer and top coating resins. In this condition, the properties of adhesion, chemical resistance, and water resistance were found to be very satisfactory when using emeraldine base (EB) of polyaniline blended with single-packaged urethane and acrylic urethane resins as the primer coatings, and using acrylic urethane resin as the top coatings. Also, the anti-corrosive function of these anti-corrosive coatings was well preserved for 1000 hr in the salt spray experiment.

  • Anti-corrosive coatings for steel structures with an alternative anti-corrosive pigment, polyaniline was prepared and anti-corrosive characteristics of the prepared coatings were investigated. The structure of the polyaniline was identified by using FT-IR, UV/Vis. and TGA analysis, and the anti-corrosive properties were analyzed from the results of the salt spray experiment. We found that the anti-corrosion properties of the prepared coatings varied in accordance with the types of primer coating resins as well as with the existence and nonexistence of the top coating. In this condition, the properties of adhesion, chemical resistance, and water resistance were found to be very satisfactory when using the single-packaged urethane resin as the primer coating resin and the urethane resin as the top coating resin.

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the anti-corrosive properties of coated reinforcing bar using polymer cement slurry. Poymer cement slurry are prepared with three types of polymer dispersions and corrosion inhibiting admixture. And tested for corrosion accelerating tests such as immersion in NaCl 10% solution NaCl 10% solution spray, high temperature and pressure steam in condition of 8cycles, carbonation before and after, penetration of NaCl solution. From the test results, it is concluded that the anti-corrosive properties are considerably improved by coating using polymer cement slurry at surface of reinforcing bar. And this trend is marked by adding of corrosion inhibiting admixture. The difference of the anti-corrosive properties is hardly recognized according to types of polymer dispersions. The anti-corrosive properties of coated reinforcing bar using polymer foment slurry are improved to a great extent compared to those of plain reinforcing bar accordiy to increasing content of chloride ion in cement concrete.

  • There are many kinds of protection methods for marine structures by using and environmental condition. Coating protection method, one of these methods is being widely adopted to both all ground and marine structures. In this study, by adding some additives such as Zn powder(Zn), carbon black(CB) to epoxy anti-corrosive paint, the effect to promote corrosion resistance was investigated with electrochemical method. Corrosion potentials with additives shifted to negative direction than no additive. However passivity current density increased than no additive except for Zn(20)+CB(10), especially, additive of Zn(20)+CB(10) showed the smallest passivity current density. Polarization resistance of Zn(20)+CB(10) by both cyclic voltammogram and impedance measurement was the largest value than other additives. And also surface phenomenon by adding Zn(20)+CB(10) was observed a good add condition not showing bubbling than other additives.

Corrosive Wear of Alloy 690 Tubes in Alkaline Water

  • The interaction between wear and corrosion can significantly increase total material losses in water chemistry environment. The corrosive wear tests of a PWR steam generator tube material (Alloy 690) against the anti vibration bar material (409 SS) were performed at room temperature. The tests were performed in alkaline water chemistry conditions. NaOH solution was selected for test condition to investigate the corrosive wear effect of steam generator tube material in alkaline pH condition without other factors. The flow induced vibration can caused tube damage and the corrosion can be occurred by water chemistry. The test results showed that, in the alkaline solution at pH 13.9, the corrosion current density was increased about ten times than that in the distilled water. And wear rate at pH 13.9 was increased about ten times from that at neutral condition. However, the wear rate was decreased with time. The decrease would be attributed to the change in roughness of specimen or sub-layer of the worn surface with time. From microstructure observation, severe abrasive shape and several wear debris were found. From those results, it could infer that the oxide film on Alloy 690 changed to easily breakable one in the alkaline water, and then abrasion with corrosion became the main wear mechanism.

콘크리트 특성에 따른 반전위 측정값의 변화와 부식제어 조건 (Variation of Half Cell Potential Measurement in Concrete with Different Properties and Anti-Corrosive Condition)

  • 비파괴 기법중 반전위 측정법은 부식가능성을 정량적으로 판별할 수 있으므로 꾸준하게 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 피복두께를 10, 30, 60mm, 물-시멘트비를 0.35, 0.55, 0.70으로 변화시킨 RC 시편을 대상으로 비말대 지역을 모사한 촉진염해분무실험을 수행하였다. 45일간의 촉진 염해 분무시험을 수행한 뒤, RC 시편에 대하여 반전위값을 측정하였다. w/c 0.55 조건에서 피복두께가 10mm인 RC 시편은 부식이 발생하였으며, w/c 0.7인 경우 피복두께 30mm인 시편에서도 부식이 발생하였다. 실험결과를 이용하여 물-시멘트비와 피복두께를 변수로 하는 반전위 평가식을 제안하였으며, 비말대지역에서 부식을 억제할 수 있는 조건을 도출하였다. 또한 Life 365 프로그램을 이용하여 비부식 조건의 w/c와 피복두께를 분석하였으며, 본 연구의 결과인 반전위 측정값과 비교하였다.

급결특성에 따른 숏크리트 리바운드의 비교분석 연구 (A Study on the Comparison and Analysis of Shotcrete Rebounds due to Acceleratiion)

  • The purpose of this paper is to decrease shotcrete rebound losses and to produce economic effectiveness at the same time in construction. The mechanical properties and quick acceleration of various shoterete mixes were analyzed, which were intuenced by several accelerators and their amouts used. And the application and construction in the felds were evaluated. The shotcrete rebounds relied on the condition of construction rather than on the quality of materials, but it is found that the decreasing of the cost and time in shotcreting under the same condition was based on the rebounds which were affected by the accelerating capability of the accelerators. The application of the accelerator was limited by the condition of tunnel construction ; such as ground water, anti-corrosive, or anti-chemistry. It is important to choose a proper accelerator. Therefore, it is necessary that better accelerators which satisfly mechanical characteristics and economy are developed. Optimal working conditions should be announced to the workers and workers' skill be improved in the shotcrete construction feld as well.

선박용 프로펠러축 방식처리용 복합재료의 제조와 그 정적 및 피로특성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Processing of Anti-Corrosive Composites for Propeller Shaft of the Ship and the Evaluation of Its Static and Fatigue Properties)

  • Kind 1 propeller shaft in ships is the shaft which is provided with effective measures against corrosion by sea water, or the shaft which is made of approved corrosion resistance materials. The propeller shaft other than specified above is Kind 2. Thus, this study is mainly concerned with the resistance to fatigue damage in sea water against stress concentrations due to the notches. The results obtained can be summarized as follows; (1) The stress increases with curing time, however, when the curing time reaches at 96 hours the stress becomes a constant value. The elongation decreases with curing time, however, when the curing time reaches at 48 hours the elongation becomes a constant value. Thus, in case of FRP coating on propeller shaft, it is necessary to cure for 48 hours at least. (2) The relation of $\sigma$$_n$-K$_t$ is to be classified into two parts, which is a part where fracture nominal stress, $\sigma$$_n$, decreases with increasing $K_t$, and a part where $\sigma$$_n$ is nearly constant independent of $K_t$. (3) According to a linear notch mechanics, the measure of severity controlling the fracture in notched FRP body is the notch root radius, $\rho$. The notched static strength of an arbitrary specimen will be estimated from $\sigma$$_{max}$ -1/$\rho$ curve. (4) Through the observation of cross section after fatigue test, the part of interface was kept good condition irrespective of loading conditions.

용융 열처리한 PMMA/Alumina 복합체의 기계 특성 (Mechanical Properties of PMMA / Alumina Composites Fused by Heat Treatment)

  • The PMMA composited material mixed with alumina studied to find the optimal condition, the adequate ratio of mixing, for the associated mechanical properties such as anti-corrosive, weatherproof performance. The 80% of hardness and 52% of scratch coefficient improved according to increasing ratio of alumina, which is mostly 3 times higher than that of pure PMMA, on other hand 16% of tensile strength and 35% of flexural strength has lost while alumina was adding in. The most proper ratio, having the best availability in substantial production, of composite between pure PMMA and alumina is determined as 93 wt. % vs 7 wt. %. Results of related five properties had estimated by using of a pentagram.

  • Mg thin films were prepared by PVD method on electroplated Zn steel substrate. And the influence of gas pressure on their morphology and crystal orientation of the deposited films were investigated by scannig electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD), respectively. In addition, the effect of corrosion resistance of these films as a funtion of morphology and crystal orientation was evaluated by anodic polarization test. From the measured results, it is investigated that the film of granular structure which deposited in condition of high gas pressure had the highest corrosion resistance.
