Objectives : Because people have increasingly more interest in their quality of life, the anti-aging industry has grown worldwide. The purpose of this study is to suggest strategies for galvanizing the anti-aging industry in Korea. Methods : To accomplish this aim, we explored the definition, classification, problem and activating strategies of the anti-aging industry through a systematic review. Results : From the results, the following suggestions are given: planning a national strategy to galvanize the anti-aging industry, establishing an anti-aging research institute, developing a business model, developing an anti-aging cluster, statistics development and an information system related to anti-aging, training personnel, and legislation. Conclusions : The anti-aging industry has the potential to reduce health expenses through early intervention of diseases due to aging and through activation of the national economy by win-win growth of the industry related to aging. Therefore, understanding the anti-aging industry as well as political support is critical.

With the increasing media representation of aging as negative and abnormal, anti-aging products and discourses are spreading to younger generations. This paper analyzes the anti-aging discourse in a fashion magazine targeted towards women in their 20s. It quantitatively analyzes the historical development of the antiaging industry and discourses from 1994 to 2014 in the magazine "$C{\acute{e}}ci$". It also analyzes the patterns of signification associated with aging in the magazine through the use of critical discourse analysis. This paper identifies five major discourses -"segmentation of the definitions of youthful appearance", "scientific and medical discourse", "self-care discourse", "prevention of aging", and "social values of youthful appearances". The paper finds that the construction of anti-aging discourses towards women in their 20s is heavily influenced by the close link between the anti-aging industry and the fashion media. It also confirms the ideology of self-development though a rigorous appearance-management that is strongly imposed on Korean women and subsequently reproduced in an anti-aging discourse towards women in their 20s.

본 연구는 국내 고령친화산업의 동향을 살펴보고, 고령화 화장품의 식품의약품안전처 고시성분, 고시 외 원료 연구 동향 분석 등을 조사하여 고령친화산업이 화장품 산업 환경과 고령화들의 변화를 빠르게 대처하기 위한 자료를 마련하고자 하였다. 식약처 고시 성분 외에 항 노화 화장품의 원료 개발에 관한 연구동향을 살펴보고, 각각의 원료들의 항 노화 효과를 알아보며, 이를 통해 국, 내외에 등재 학술지에 게재되어진 논문을 중심으로 '고령화', '화장품', '안티에이징', '항 노화' 등의 연구논문을 토대로 자료를 종합하였다. 고령화 산업과 관련한 항 노화 화장품의 발전을 이끌기 위하여 식품의약품안전처에서 고시하고 있는 4종 원료 외에 피부를 강화시켜 노화를 방지하는데 효과가 있는 제품에 대한 연구 활동이 끊임없이 진행되고 있다. 기존의 식품의약품안전처장이 고시하고 있는 기능성 화장품 분야에서 단일 연구가 아닌 복합적으로 항 노화에 대한 연구가 과학적으로 뒷받침 될 수 있도록 다양한 기초 연구 활동이 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료되어 진다.

This aim of this study examined the relationship among the interest in anti-aging, health promotion behaviors and the need for anti-aging services by their 20s. Survey was conducted among adults from their 20s in the Changwon City. 228 responses were used for analysis. The overall average score of the interest and effort of anti-aging were 2.97 point and 2.62 point (out of 5), respectively. And those were both higher in female than men (p<0.01~p<0.001). The overall average score of need for anti-aging service was 3.50 point(total score is 5). In The demand for each area of anti-aging service were ≥3.5 point in all 5 areas, and stress management (4.00 point) was the highest, while the beauty management (3.60 point) was the lowest. There were significant differences in all five areas by sex (p<0.01~p<0.001). The overall score of the performance of health promotion behaviors was 2.44 point(total score is 4), and the interpersonal relationship score (2.85 point) was the highest, while the health responsibility score (2.08 point) was the lowest. The interest in anti-aging and performance of health promotion behaviors showed positive relationship to anti-aging services, and their explanation powers were 34.6% (p<0.001). The results of this study suggest be used as data to establish strategies revitalizing various anti-aging service in the twenties.

Objectives : The present study was designed to investigate effects of mixed extract from korean medicinal herbs (MIX) on oxidation/reduction reaction-related and aging-related enzyme in vitro. Methods : We performed MTT assay, collagenase inhibition assay, elastase inhibition assay, tyrosinase inhibition assay, DPPH free radical scavenging assay, SOD-like activity and xanthine oxidase inhibition assay. Results : Recently, many studies have reported that elastin is also involved in inhibiting or repairing wrinkle formation, although collagen is a major factor in the skin wrinkle formation. The MIX showed 97% inhibition of collagenase activity, and 64% inhibition of elastase activity at 1 mg/ml concentration of MIX, next only to positive control, which indicate good efficacy for anti-wrinkle ingredient. Also it's treatment showed 34% inhibition of tyrosinase activity, to relate whitening effect, at the same dose of MIX. Antioxidant activities were determined by DPPH radical scavenging, xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibiting activity and SOD-like activity. Also these scavenging, XO-inhibiting and SOD-like activities were measured in 91%, 80%, and 63% inhibition, respectively, at a treated dose of 1 mg/ml, compare to control. Conclusions : These results suggest that possibility of mixed korean medicinal herbs as a functional ingredient for anti-wrinkle and whitening, anti-oxidation and anti-aging cosmetic formula.

본 연구는 항노화 상품의 신뢰형성요인을 발굴하고 측정변수를 개발하여 결과변수인 신뢰와 구매의도 간의 영향관계를 실증적으로 검증하였다. 기존의 신뢰형성요인인 지각된 품질, 지각된 평판, 브랜드 인지도, 맞춤화에 더하여 새롭게 발굴된 요인은 '공인된 인증'이다. 우리나라의 항노화산업은 소비자 건강에 직접 영향을 미치는 산업이기 때문에 기존의 신뢰형성요인이 소비자 신뢰 구축에 한계가 있는 것으로 판단하여 새로운 척도를 발굴하였다. 본 연구는 항노화 상품 소비자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 문항의 견실성과 관계성을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 항노화 상품 신뢰형성요인 가운데 지각된 품질, 브랜드 인지도, 맞춤화, 공인된 인증이 신뢰에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 지각된 평판은 신뢰에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 후행변수인 신뢰와 구매의도 간에는 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 전략적으로 실효성 높은 유의미한 신뢰형성요인 발굴과 측정문항을 개발하여 실증적, 실무적으로 검증함으로써 신뢰형성요인과 신뢰와의 유의미한 관계를 입증하였다. 동시에 항노화 산업의 마케팅에 중요한 신뢰형성 핵심요인 발굴을 통해 향후의 항노화 상품관련 마케팅전략 수립에 본 연구가 상당부분 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

지구온난화의 폐해 중 하나인 해파리의 대량증식은 환경 생태계에 좋지 않은 영향을 미치고 있고, 또한 과도한 개체수는 원할한 처리가 곤란해 많은 문제점을 초래하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 해파리의 생산적이고 효율적인 개선방안으로 단순 가공식품 뿐만 아니라 해파리의 추출을 통해 산업적으로 활용가능한 기능성 화장품원료로의 응용가능성도 고려해 볼 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 보름달물 해파리 유래 추출물의 기능성 화장품 원료로서의 안전성 및 유효성을 규명하였다. 인간피부섬유아세포에서의 세포독성, 주름 개선 효과와 관련된 procollagen 발현양의 증가 및 노화로 증가되는 SA-${\beta}$-Gal 효소의 활성을 염색을 통하여 확인하였고, 항노화 화장품 신소재로서의 사업화 가능성을 확인 할 수 있었다.

최근 노령화 인구의 증가와 다양한 피부미용 기술들이 증대됨에 따라 피부노화 개선에 대한 소비자의 욕구가 높아지고 있다. 또한 기능성 화장품법 시행 후 효능원료 개발에 대한 연구들이 활발히 수행되고 있어 안전하며 임상학적으로 효능이 있는 주름기능성 화장품 개발은 화장품업계의 주요 관심 과제이다. 대표적인 피부 고민들 가운데 주름살 증가와 탄력성 감소와 같은 피부노화 현상을 개선할 수 있는 항주름 연구 및 항노화 원료들에 대한 연구 동향을 소개하고자 한다.

Objective : This study was designed to investigate anti-oxidative, anti-aging and anti-inflammatory activities of Zingiber officinale Roscoe water (ZD) and 50% ethanol extracts (ZE). Method : The antioxidant capacity of ZD or ZE was analyzed by DPPH, ABTS scavenging activities and reducing power, respectively. The anti-aging efficacy was performed with tyrosinase and collagenase inhibition activities. The anti-inflammatory activities were confirmed through inhibition of nitric oxide production and TNF-�� expression in LPS-treated Raw 264.7 cells. Result : As a result of measuring DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities, both ZD and ZE extracts increased in concentration-dependent manners. The ABTS radical scavenging activities of water and 50% ethanol extract were similar to that of positive control at high concentration. On reducing power, both ZD and ZE showed higher activities than the positive control at high concentration. On inhibition activities of tyrosinase and collagenase both ZD and ZE showed the large inhibition rates at low concentration. Also, the inhibitory efficacy of ZD on NO and TNF-�� production was better than ZE in RAW 264.7 cells. Conclusion : These results suggest that ZD and ZE have anti-oxidative, anti-aging and anti-inflammatory effects in vitro. Especially, ZD was more effective than ZE. Thus, Ginger extract is considered to be highly useful as a cosmetic or food material with anti-oxidative, anti-aging (prevention of whitening and wrinkle) and anti-inflammatory effects. Also these effects may vary depending on the extraction solvent.

This study was carried out in order to manufacture the high quality coated paper. High quality coated paper includes not only present state but also the state of the future. So in this study, acrylic-styrene emulsion which polymerized in laboratory was compared with SB(Styrene-butadiene) latex during thermal aging. The coated paper with three different formulations which controlled the dosage of acrylic-styrene emulsion were prepared. The coated paper were thermally aged at $105^{\circ}C$ for 18days and the optical properties were measured. Brightness, whiteness and CIE L value were higher during thermal aging with increasing amount of acrylic-styrene emulsion. CIE $a^*$ value was higher and CIE $b^*$ value decreased with increasing amount of acrylic-styrene emulsion. These results indicate that high quality coated paper which has anti -thermal aging property can be manufactured with acrylic-styrene emulsion.
