  • In the 2015 revised curriculum, "creative and convergent talent prize" was presented as a human resource to be pursued by current curriculum. The core competencies that future talent should have are self-management capacity, knowledge information processing capacity, creative thinking capacity, aesthetic capacity, communicative competence, and community competence. The researcher believes that among the six core competencies, the ability to have more attention today is aesthetic capacity and that mathematics education should pursue it. The mathematical teaching methods based on Rudolf Steiner's anthroposophy education theory is an education that actively raises the aesthetic sensitivity of students. Therefore, this study investigates the features of educational methods based on the Steiner's anthroposophy and examines mathematics education methods based on them.

  • This paper is a study on the anthroposophic characteristics shown in the first Goetheanum. Rudolf Steiner promoted anthroposophy base on the critique of modem times. His philosophy has developed in various areas such as medical science, agriculture, education, and art. In particular, his thinking was well expressed in the first Goetheanum which was built for Anthroposophical Society. The anthrososophic architectural theory is defined here as application of cosmology, metamorphology and geometry. Steiner defined geometry as a unconscious awareness inscribed in skeletal system of human body as humans have evolved in the process of cosmological development. As a result, Steiner's architecture was able to create metamorphological spaces with harmonizing geometric and organic factors. In respect of decoration, the shapes of plants applied to the decoration still kept individuality because of being made manually, thus perfect symmetrical architecture was impossible. Moreover, the first Goetheanum placed an emphasis on formative dynamics. This was to wake an individual's self-conscienceless up, by enabling him to experience with all the senses without reasoning from the precedent.

  • Located in Dornach, Switcherland Eurythmeum Anbau zu Haus Brodbeck (Rudolf Steiner-Halde, Eurythmeum Anbau zu Haus Brodbeck, 1923-1935) is one of the architectural works created by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) who has studied and established the cognitive and spiritual aspects of a human being, and is often cited as being the founder of anthroposophy. In fact, Eurythmeum Anbau zu Haus Brodbeck is not as well known as Steiner's other works, and it is perceived as less important than his major works of architecture including "Goetheanum", "Modellbau zu Malsch", and "Rudolf Steiner Haus Stuttgart". Nonetheless, this study is meaningful in itself since it is an important piece of architecture to gain an understanding of the characteristics of Steiner's late works, and the architectural characteristics of the Waldorf School where various active educational activities are taking place around the world. Eurythmeum Anbau zu Haus Brodbeck clearly exhibits the characteristics of the architectural space based on Steiner's anthroposophy as well as provides a window into promoting space efficiency by extending an existing building. Moreover, it provides a good learning opportunity to find out about how Steiner's architectural disposition has changed and developed with the use of new materials. With these points as a backdrop, the study aims to develop an understanding of the architectural characteristics of Eurythmeum Anbau zu Haus Brodbeck. Another important objective of this paper is to gain insight into the architectural implications in connection with the influence Eurythmeum Anbau zu Haus Brodbeck has had on Steiner's later works, by comparing his early works of architecture with those of his late works.

  • The theme of this study is holistic healing environment of children's library and it was researched on the basis of anthroposophy theory of Rudolf Steiner. According to Steiner's theory, human being consists of body, spirit, and soul. Especially, children are sensitive ones, and through synthetic function of 12 kinds of senses, they can be holistically healed (healing of body, spirit, and soul). As the sense independently functions or it is a element that cannot be described, it needs spatial plan to support synthetic function of it. We classified the healing space's meaning of children library by motion (including art and music), reading, & landscape healing activities and analyzed spatial characteristic to support each activity.

  • Postmodern American science fiction authors often dramatize the human fear and hope for the newly emerging artificial life forms. For example, Helen as an advanced artificial intelligence Richard Power's Galatea 2.2 shows that the student's memorizing efforts for exams can be useless someday. In Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash machines are liable to be infected with viruses like human bodies. In He, She and It, Piercy's parallel of an artificial human (Yod) and a mythic personification (Golem) allegorically reveals the pandora-like unpredictable effect of advanced technology. More than the mechanical entities (the diffusion and linear models for Latour), these biologically artificial entities reveal the limitations of even the fantastically idealized technology simply because the human being as the creators or impersonators of these machines are not perfect. Compared to illustrative mechanism, biologically artificial entities (Latour's transition or whirlwind models) are inherently rebellious because of their closeness to the creators. The Butler's organic environmental interaction of the Earthseed convincingly demonstrates how the wrong use of science ruins the holy earth and also how human beings survive through the right use of effective science with the aid of anthroposophy.

  • In this paper we compared waldorf education with korean public education in the area of teaching the numbers form 0 to 10. We took several characters of both. The korean education style has the characters like separation of 0~9 and 10, teaching of the meaning of ordinal numbers and cardinal numbers, use of storytelling. The waldorf education style has the characters like teaching of the qualitive meaning of numbers, use of storytelling, meeting numners in rhythm, teaching from whole to part.
