Two specimens of Antennarius pictus, belonging to the family Antennariidae, were collected from the coastal waters of Jeju Island, Korea. They were characterized by having 7 anal fin rays, 10 pectoral fin rays, 12 dorsal fin rays, 9 caudal fin rays, and second spine of dorsal fin diminishing and curved backwards distally. Since this species has various sizes of round black spots on head, body and fins, we propose a new Korean fish name "Heuk-jum-bak-ssin-beng-i" for A. pictus.

This is the first report of Fowlerichthys scriptissimus (Lophiiformes, Antennariidae) from Korea. A single specimen (291.0 mm SL) was collected off the coast of Jejudo Island by gill net on 28 March 2012 and identified with morphological and molecular approaches. The specimen is characterized by having all five pelvic fin rays bifurcate and possessing 20 vertebrae, 13 pectoral-fin rays, and a basidorsal ocellus on the side of the body. This species is distinguishable from other Korean taxa by the number of pectoral fin rays, the bifurcate form of the pelvic rays, and the vertebral count. We add this species to the Korean fish fauna and suggest new Korean names, "Byeol-ssin-beng-i-sok" and "Byeol-ssin-beng-i" for the genus and species, respectively.

Based on a single specimen (207.0 mm SL) collected from the southern coastal waters of Jejudo Island, morphological characteristics of Antennarius commerson were described as the first reliable record from Korea. The species is characterized by having a globose body covered with small bifurcated spinules, three dorsal spines including a naked illicium and attached pectoral lobe, 13 dorsal fin soft rays, 8 anal fin rays, and 11 pectoral fin rays. We adopted a tentative Korean name previously suggested, "Keun-ssin-being-i", for the species.
