Listeria monocytogenes is a facultative bacterium that cause severe clinical disease including meningoencephalitis, septicaemia, and abortion in pregnant women, newborn infants, the debilitated elderly or immunocompromised people. In preliminary experiments on murine listeriosis we noticed suppurative gastritis in mice infected with L. monocytogenes by the intragastric route. The aims of the present study were ⅰ) to describe the histopathology of the experimentally listeria-induced gastroenteritis ⅱ) to investigate the influence of bacterial strain and laboratory mouse strain on infectivity and on the severity of the infection; [3] to examine possible effects of preliminary intragastric administration of sodium bicarbonate. A 10-day old male calf exhibited multiple congenital anomalies of the urinary and gastrointestinal tracts, including renal fusion (horseshoe kidney), ureteral fusion, rectovesicular fistula, and atresia ani. The single kidney was fused at the caudal poles. The left kidney and cranial half of right kidney were shrunken, while the remaining lobules were hypertrophic. Ureters were fused cranially and bifurcated caudally. The terminal rectum was narrowed and connected with the bladder. The anus was imperforate. The cause of these anomalies could not be determined. This is the first report of this constellation of congenital anomalies in a calf.

A 2-month-old intact female domestic short hair presented with physical abnormalities, including discharge of watery feces from the vagina, depression, and dehydration. The rectovaginal fistula and atresia ani type 3 were diagnosed on the vaginogram. During the anoplasty, the fistula could not be identified because the patient was too small. Instead of colotomy, feces were flushed out using a feeding tube. To prevent complications, a 1-cc syringe tip was sutured at the surgical site after the anoplasty. At the 3-month telephone follow-up after surgery, the cat was reported to have no further clinical signs.

Objectives : The Levator Ani Muscles Training(LAMT) is one of the well known very effective prevention and treatment method of some specific diseases in the anal organs, digestion system, urinary organs and genital organs, which means LAMT could be considered as an independent exercise. Methods : Chinese databases were searched and found one good source named CNKI(China National Knowledge Infrastructure) where there were downloaded 154 articles, out of which were finally selected 82 used for the introduction of the historical background, health-effectiveness, working mechanism, training methods, etc. Results : LAMT as an independent exercise, is considered very effective for the prevention of diseases in the anal organs, e.g. hemorrhoids, anal fissure, rectal prolapse; urinary organs, e.g. urinary incontinence, frequent micturition; digestion system, e.g. visceroptosis, diarrhea, chronic enteritis; genital organs, e.g. prostatitis, impotence, premature ejaculation, feminine vaginal relaxation, sexual indifference, etc. It is also told LAMT is effective for coronary heart disease, hyperyension and varicose veins of lower extremity to a certain degree. LAMT is also very similar to the Kegel exercise in couple of aspects. They are equally effective for the urinary incontinence and impotence. Conclusions : LAMT as an independent exercise has developed and become more and more health-effective, especially through the combination with the Qigong exercise, and thus many training methods have been introduced. There are not many scientific research and development with very limited accomplishments even in China. It is strongly required to strengthen the research and development activities so that LAMT will become one of the very effective natural healing soonest possible.

The Contemporary animation style based on technology become various within some categories and genres as recreating the importance and meaning of many formalities. According to the variation of the contemporary animation style, The computer animation that has affected on continuous development of science and its following broad-band culture takes charge of the important position in producing the contemporary visual art. On this thesis, I will research < Ani-matrix > which has 9 episode each for the different Matrix world focused on its animation style. I will analyze their forms of expression into the both aspects of esthetics viewpoint technologically and film making style traditionally regarding to the matter of reality and reemergence on a viewpoint of a realistically esthetics. Also I will analyze mutual connection among the reinterpretation for the reality, philosophical message, and animation style within < Ani-Matrix> suggested by influence of Post-modernism. Thus, I intend to prospect the formation of animation style followed by its esthetics construction and effect on computer animation of the film genre.

A 4-week-old 0.5 kg male Shih Tzu with history of congenital abnormality, abnormality, was referred to Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Chungbuk National University for further evaluation and treatment. During physical examination, the dog revealed mild depression and dyschezia. In plain radiographs, a digital thermometer put in the anus and grasped blind end of the rectum. In contrast radiographs, a urethrorectal fistula was confirmed. Urine specimens were collected with cystocentesis. Bacteria of the urine were detected using an auto microorganism analyzer. According to history taking, physical examination, radiographic signs and urinalysis, it was diagnosed as type IV atresia ani with a urethrorectal fistula. The dog was treated by fistulectomy and anoplasty, and discharged with instruction. Three days after operation, mild dehiscence was appeared. Wound was left to heal by second intention. During the follow-up of eight weeks, wound showed it to be healed and defecation was normal.
