팔굽관절 각도가 악력과 위팔노근 두께에 미치는 영향 (The effects of grasp strength and brachioradialis thickness in elbow joint angle)

  • 본 연구에서는 선 자세에서 팔굽관절 각도에 따른 악력과 위팔노근의 두께 변화를 확인하여 팔굽관절 각도가 악력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 건강한 대학생 30명을 선별한 후, 선 자세에서 팔굽관절 $0^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$ 굽힘을 취하게 하고 각각의 최대악력과 위팔노근 두께를 전자악력계와 초음파 영상 진단 장비를 이용하여 측정하였다. 그 결과 남자 대학생과 여자대학생 모두 팔굽관절 각도가 $0^{\circ}$일 때 악력이 가장 컸으며, 각도가 증가할수록 악력이 감소하였으나, 통계적으로 유의미한 차이는 없었다(p<.05). 남자대학생과 여자대학생 모두 팔굽관절 각도가 $0^{\circ}$일 때 위팔노근의 두께가 가장 작았으며, 각도가 증가할수록 위팔노근의 두께가 증가하였으며 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다(p<.05). 본 연구의 결과를 통해 팔굽관절 각도변화가 악력에는 큰 영향을 미치지 않으나, 위팔노근의 두께에는 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

스포츠에어로빅스 팔착지 동작의 연계관절 각도와 모멘트분석 (Analysis of connecting joint anglle and moment in arm landing action in Sports Aerobics)

  • A relation between the movement range of arms and arising moment has been studied to find out efficient movement range to minimize impact concerning arm landing in sports aerobics. Four male athletes who won top three in national-level sports aerobics competition were chosen for the experiment. They were allowed to jump in between two force platform so that the right hand and the right leg could land onto the front and rear force platform, respectively. The sampling frequency was 200 Hz. The main conclusions based on the analysis of the angle and joint moment parameters of wrist, elbow, and shoulder are as follows: 1. The wrist moment was small when its angle was small, indicating that the dorsi-flexion of the wrist joint offered a positive influence to reduce wrist moment. 2. The elbow angle increased as wrist angle decreased and vice versa. This means that the movement range of the wrist joint affects that of the elbow joint. The darsi-flexion of the wrist is the position to absorb the impact of the elbow effectively rather than to absorb the impact of the wrist itself. The impact is absorbed by the flexion of wrist joint rather than the wrist. 3. The degree of moment transfer of the shoulder joint, having absorbed the impact from the elbow and elbow joint, became dependent on the efficiency of the fore-joints impact absorption.

테니스 포핸드 스트로크의 상지관절각도 분석 (Analysis of Upper Limb Joint Angle of Tennis Forehand Stroke)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the kinematics variables of upper limb joint during forehand stroke by swings patterns. Eight high school tennis players were chosen for the study, who have never been injured for last six months, in Busan. They performed horizontal swing and vertical swing that it was done each five consecutive trial in the condition of square, semi-open and open stance. It was filmed by 6 video camera and used with 3-dimensional motion analyzer system. The following kinematic variables were analyzed in relation to angle of joint(shoulder, elbow and wrist joint). The conclusion were as follow: 1. The angle of right shoulder joint represented all event that both swing were shown similar pattern in swing type and stance pattern. 2. All event in the angle of elbow joint had consistent with that except E2, horizontal and vertical swings in square stance. 3. All event in the angle of wrist joint was show to similar pattern except E2, horizontal and vertical swing in open stance.

  • Human like robot arm posture for grasping by considering the shape of the target object is quite a challenge in the field of robotics. In this paper, an optimized grasp posture with respect to the shape of the object considering the wrist joint angle and elbow elevation angle, in order to verify that the grasp posture is human like has been proposed. Given a target object, the candidates for grasp are computed by the method described in this paper. For each candidate, the closed loop inverse kinematics has been solved for the corresponding hand position and orientation. From the obtained joint angles through inverse kinematics, the elbow elevation angle has been computed and compared with the elbow elevation angle obtained through human movement data by the characteristic equation. After considering all the candidates, the hand position and orientation with minimum wrist joint and difference in elbow elevation angles has been utilized as the optimized grasp posture. Simulation results are presented.

테이핑 적용이 20대 정상 남성 성인의 팔꿈치관절 각도 별 악력 변화에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Taping on the Change of Elbow Joint Angle Grip Force of Normal Adult Males in 20s)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study conducted the experiment to check change of ability to grip depending on normal male adult's elbow flexion angle and the effect of kinesiology tape application. METHODS: Normal male adults who studies in H university where located in Kyoungbook state and did not have any factors like fracture, osteoarthritis, deformities and non-neurologic issue which might influence the result of this study were selected as subjects. Elbow of subjects were applied by 5cm wideness kinesiology tape and elbow's angle was selected by $0^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$ using Goniometer. The change of ability to grip depending on flexion was measured by an electronic dynamometer before and after taping. RESULTS: Before and after taping elbow joint, both ability to grip decrease in more flexion angle and $135^{\circ}$ of elbow flexion was lowest value, 299.84N. Using kinesiology tape, neutral position $0^{\circ}$ was the highest value, 352.26N. The lowest was 331.68N on $135^{\circ}$. According to verifying the change of ability to grip depending on elbow flexion and the change of ability to grip after taping with paired t-test, the result was p<.05, there was significant difference. CONCLUSION: Using electronic dynamometer and estimating the ability to grip after and before kinesiology tape, the ability to grip decrease in more elbow flexion. The ability to grip after using kinesiology tape was relatively higher than before taping.

The effects of elbow joint angle and resistance point on muscle activation of the contralateral shoulder muscles while performing the ulnar thrust PNF pattern exercise

  • PURPOSE: This study researched the effects of the changes of elbow joint angle and of arm position in PNF pattern on muscle activation of the contralateral shoulder muscles while performing PNF pattern exercise. METHODS: The research subjects were 16 male physical therapists who had no neuromuscular or neurological disorders. To measure the muscle activation of the contralateral shoulder muscles, EMG electrodes were attached to the muscle valley of the middle and posterior areas of the deltoid and triceps muscles of the arm. Muscle activation while performing the ulnar thrust PNF pattern exercise was measured with the elbow joint positioned at angles of $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, and $60^{\circ}$. Resistance points were at the initial, middle, and end ranges of PNF pattern exercise. RESULTS: Muscle activation of the middle and posterior portions of the deltoid muscle increased significantly according to the changes of elbow joint angle. In each resistance point the middle range was significantly higher than at other points. A significant difference on muscle activation was demonstrated throughout each range depending on the type of muscle. Muscle activation of the middle and posterior portions of the deltoid muscle was higher than muscle activation of the triceps. CONCLUSION: The results of this study demonstrate that the PNF pattern exercising method used in this study is a selective exercising method focusing on the deltoid muscle over the triceps muscle. In order to increase the muscle strength to the maximum level, it is necessary to provide the maximum level of resistance in the middle range of the elbow joint.

정상인의 팔굽, 무릎관절의 형태와 내.외반의 각도 및 무릅관절 간의 길이에 대한 조사 (A Study about the Type of Cubits.Genu Angle and the Distance of both Knee Joint in General)

  • This study was researched the general characteristics, the elbow-knee joint form, the varus and valgus angle and the both knee joint distance of the 215 persons form July 1, 1994 to July 15, 1994. The results were as follows : 1. The form of elbow joint was significant statistically in the sex group(p<0.05). 2. The angle of elbow joint was very significant statistically in the age group and sex. B.M.I. group(p<0.001, p<0.01, p<0.01), and the average angle was $9^{\circ}.51{\pm}4^{\circ}.79$(n=215). 3. The angle of Cubitus valgus was very significant statistically in the age group(p<0.001), and the average angle of Cubitus valgus was $10^{\circ}.85{\pm}3^{\circ}.76$(n=187). 4. The angle of Knee joint was significant statistically in the age group(p<0.05), and the its average angle was $7^{\circ}.63{\pm}4^{\circ}.52$(n=215). 5. The angle of Genu varus was significant statistically in the age and sex group(p<0.05, p<0.05), and the its average was $6^{\circ}.92{\pm}2^{\circ}.36$(n=27). 6. The angle of Genu valgus was very significant statistically in the age group(p<0.001), and the its average angle was $9^{\circ}.75{\pm}2^{\circ}.94$(n=149). 7. The distance of both Knee joint was significant statistically in the age group and B. M. I. group (p<0.001, p<0.05), and the its average distance was $2.55{\pm}1.45cm$(n=135).

한국인 20대 청년의 팔 관절 동작범위 측정 연구 (A study of measurement on range of arm joint motion of Korean male in twenties)

  • This paper measured the range of arm joint motion for Korean 54 males in twenties. The range of the arm joint motion of the subjects was measured directly using Goniometer and protractor. The number of the static and the dynamic anthropometric variables are seven and thirteen, respectively. The anthropometric data are analyzed by basic statistical analysis (four group), correlation analysis and regression analysis using commercial SAS program. The results of analysis are compared with American students anthropometric data by Laubach(1978). Thin subjects have larger movement angle as wrist flexion, wrist abduction, elbow flexion, and elbow wupination and have smaller as wrist adduction and shoulder flexion. Fat subjects have larger movement angle as shoulder flexion and are smaller wrist abduction, elbow flexion, pronation, shoulder extension, shoulder adduction, shoulder abduction, and shoulder medial rotation Korean are more flexible than American in wrist and ranges of elbow flexion and elbow rotation. The shoulder movement is similar to that of American, but shoulder flexion is less flexible.

팔굽관절 굽힘근 활성을 배제한 위팔두갈래근의 긴갈래와 짧은갈래의 팔굽관절 각도에 따른 뒤침동작의 근활성도 분석 (An Analysis of Muscular Activity of Supination According to the Elbow Flexion Angle Excluding the Elbow Flexor Activity of the Long and Short Head of the Biceps Brachii Muscle)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the functional differences of the two heads of the biceps brachii by measuring the functions in supination according to pronation by the angle of the flexion of the elbow joint, except for the activities of the elbow flexors. Methods: This study was conducted with 25 healthy men in their 20s. At a glenohumeral-joint 0˚ flexion posture, angles of flexion of the elbow joint of 0˚, 30˚, 60˚, 90˚, and 120˚ were randomly provided, and they were asked to perform supination and pronation with an elastic band. Using an eight-channel surface electromyogram, the muscle activities of the long and short heads of the biceps brachii were measured. The activities of the short and long heads according to the angle were analyzed using a one-way ANOVA, and as a post-test, LSD was employed. Results: The analysis of the impact of the resistance of the elastic band in supination on the differences in the muscle activities in the short and long heads suggests there was a significant difference between 0˚ and 30˚ (p < 0.05). Conclusion: In supination according to forearm pronation, the long head had greater action in the early flexion posture of the elbow joint, and it is judged that the ratio of the flexion of the elbow joint according to the actions of the biceps brachii was considered small.

팔꿉관절 측방향 일반촬영에서 아래팔뼈 각도 변화에 따른 영상 분석 : 위팔뼈 위관절융기와 팔꿉관절 평가 (Image Analysis of Angle Changes in the Forearm during Elbow Joint Lateral General Radiography: Evaluation of Humerus Epicondyle and Elbow Joint)

  • 팔꿉관절 측방향 일반촬영 검사 시 위팔뼈 양측 위관절융기의 정확한 겹침과 팔꿉관절의 적절한 분리는 매우 중요하다. 그러나 팔꿉관절의 복잡한 해부학적인 구조로 인해서 최적의 영상을 획득하기 어려워 반복적인 검사가 시행되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 팔꿉관절 측방향 일반촬영 검사 시 정확한 영상을 획득할 수 있는 환자의 각도를 조사하고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 20명의 환자로 정해진 연구 절차에 따라 시행되었다. 먼저 아래팔과 테이블 사이의 0°의 각도에서 X선을 수직 입사하여 영상을 획득하였다(대조군). 그 후, 팔꿉관절의 측방향 영상이 부적절하다고 판단될 경우 5° 및 10°의 기울기를 가진 스티로폼 지지대를 이용하여 아래팔의 각도를 조정하여 영상을 획득하였다(실험군). 평가 방법으로는 두 명의 평가자가 리커트 5점 척도를 통해 영상을 평가했고, 평가에 대한 신뢰성은 크론바흐 알파 값을 제시하였다. 결과적으로 처음 검사(대조군)에서 양측 위관절융기의 겹침과 팔꿉관절의 분리가 적절하지 않은 환자들은 아래팔뼈와 테이블 사이에 10° 각도를 설정하였을 때 가장 좋은 영상을 획득할 수 있었다. 이에 대한 정성적 평가 점수는 0°에서 1.6±0.8점, 5°에서 2.7 ± 0.8점, 10°에서 4.4 ± 1.3점이었고, 0°, 5°, 10° 각도에 대한 신뢰도 분석 결과 크론바흐 알파 값은 각각 0.867, 0.697 및 0.922였다. 결론적으로 기존의 검사 자세와 X선 입사 방식을 사용하여 정확한 영상을 얻을 수 없는 경우에는 아래팔과 테이블 사이의 각도를 10°로 설정한 후 우선적으로 영상을 획득하고 차츰 각도를 줄여가면서 영상을 획득한다면 반복 검사의 횟수를 줄이면서 최적의 영상을 얻을 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
