In Android smartphones, many apps are developed as service apps to run in the background. If the memory is insufficient, Android forcibly terminates not only user apps that have not used the CPU for a long time, but also service apps. However, a service app is automatically re-launched after a short period of time, so that it continuously consumes memory space. This paper analyzes the number of running service apps and their memory usage in users' smartphones. The number of service apps accounts for up to 65% of the total number of running apps, and their memory usage accounts for up to 55% of the total memory. Moreover, we investigate the effect of the number of running service apps on the response time of smartphones and apps. As the number of service apps increases, the launching time of user apps increases to 22 times. The booting time and app installation time significantly increase with the number of service apps.
In Logic Bomb, the conditions of branch statements that trigger malicious behavior cannot be detected in advance, making Android malicious app analysis difficult. Various studies have been conducted to detect potentially suspicious branch statements that can be logic bombs and triggers, but suspicious branch statements cannot be properly detected in apps that contain information determined at runtime, such as reflection. In this paper, we propose a tool that can detect suspicious branch statements even when reflection is used in Android apps. It works through recording app execution logs and analyzing the recorded log). The proposed tool can check the relationship between the called method and the branch statement by recording and analyzing the user-defined methods, Java APIs called and method information called through reflection, and branch information in the log while the Android app is running. Experimental results show that suspicious branch statements can be detected even in apps where reflection is used.

We develop a smart tourism information system that provides smart tourism services to free independent tourists (FITs) through various content distribution channels such as mobile apps, Instagram, YouTube, and chatbots. The smart tourism information system provides location and storytelling-based tourism information, accommodation, restaurant information, and recommended travel products so that tourists can create a travel itinerary based on personalized situation awareness. The smart tourism information system also provides smart tourism services using commercial maps, navigation, and weather forecast APIs from the Korea Meteorological Administration to provide smart tour guide services to tourists who travel according to the travel itinerary. In this paper, we develop the React Native app that provides smart tourism services provided by the smart tourism information system. The smart tourism React Native app has implemented two methods: a method that directly connects to the smart tourism information system, and a method that provides services by interworking through the GraphQL Query Language developed by META (Facebook). The smart tourism React Native app implements OSMU (One Source Multi-use) by providing tourism information from mobile apps, photos from Instagram, and drone videos from YouTube as an integrated UI.

Many people are showing interest on computing and computer programming ever as much as the smartphone become more popular. Computer programming languages, however, like Java or C++ being used to teach freshmen in computer science-related majors as the first programming language they will study are so difficult to understand. In this paper, we proposed a short-term curriculum for teaching computer programming using App Inventor for Android to freshmen students major in computer science as the first programming language they will study, which can encourage their interest in computer programming. According to survey from students participated in actual teaching, we found that the proposed curriculum can contribute to increase their interest on computer programming and even self-confidence on development of applications for smarphone.

Google Play is one of the largest Android phone app markets and it contains both free and paid apps. It provides a variety of categories for every target user who has different needs and purposes. The customer's rate every product based on their experience of apps and based on the average rating the position of an app in these arch varies. Fraudulent behaviors emerge in those apps which incorporate search rank maltreatment and malware proliferation. To distinguish the fraudulent behavior, a novel framework is structured that finds and uses follows left behind by fraudsters, to identify both malware and applications exposed to the search rank fraud method. This strategy correlates survey exercises and remarkably joins identified review relations with semantic and behavioral signals produced from Google Play application information, to distinguish dubious applications. The proposed model accomplishes 90% precision in grouping gathered informational indexes of malware, fakes, and authentic apps. It finds many fraudulent applications that right now avoid Google Bouncers recognition technology. It also helped the discovery of fake reviews using the reviewer relationship amount of reviews which are forced as positive reviews for each reviewed Google play the android app.
Exercise is beneficial to the body in some ways. It is vital for people who have heart problems to perform exercise according to their condition. This paper describes how an Android platform can provide early warnings of fatigue during wushu exercise using Photoplethysmography (PPG) signals. Using the data from a micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) gyroscope to detect heart rate, this study contributes an algorithm to determine a user's fatigue during wushu exercise. It sends vibration messages to the user's smartphone device when the heart rate exceeds the limit or is too fast during exercise. The heart rate monitoring system in the app records heart rate data in real-time while exercising. A simple pulse sensor and Android app can be used to monitor heart rate. This plug-in sensor measures heart rate based on photoplethysmography (PPG) signals during exercise. Pulse sensors can be easily inserted into the fingertip of the user. An embedded microcontroller detects the heart rate by connecting a pulse sensor transmitted via Bluetooth to the smartphone. In order to measure the impact of physical activity on heart rate, Wushu System tests are conducted using various factors, such as age, exercise speed, and duration. During testing, the Android app was found to detect heart rate with an accuracy of 95.3% and to warn the user when their heart rate rises to an abnormal level.
Recently, convenience and usability are increasing with the development and deployment of various mobile applications on the Android platform. However, important information stored in the smartphone is leaked to the outside without knowing the user since the malicious mobile application is continuously increasing. A variety of mobile vaccines have been developed for the Android platform to detect malicious apps. Recently discovered server-based polymorphic(SSP) malicious mobile apps include obfuscation techniques. Therefore, it is not easy to detect existing mobile vaccines because some other form of malicious app is newly created by using SSP mechanism. In this paper, we analyze the correlation between the similarity of the method in the DEX file constituting the core malicious code and the permission similarity measure through APK de-compiling process for the SSP malicious app. According to the analysis results of DEX method similarity and permission similarity, we could extract the characteristics of SSP malicious apps and found the difference that can be distinguished from the normal app.

With the development and general use of a variety of Android/iOS-based smart phones and smart pads, the existing e-learning contents need to be changed in such a way that they can be carried out on different smart device platforms. This paper shows what changes are needed for that aim, and, in particular, for the compatibility of different platforms by designing and implementing Android/iOS-based smart learning contents in the form of a hybrid app. This paper will hopefully help you consider what elements are required to develop smart-learning contents on a variety of platforms for mobile devices.
