  • It is common that the process capability fluctuates as time passes, but concentrates to the mean value. To keep up process capability with given limits is vital to stability of process. Various control charts, especially ${\sigma}-chart$, have been used for analyzing process capability, but It sometimes can not give distinct answer. So this paper introduces another analyzing method by ARMA (autoregressive moving average) which is originally developed for forecasting, and demonstrates the analyzing methodology through a case study.

  • A numerical simulation has been carried out for the automotive air conditioning system. The purpose of this simulation is to present the methods for simulating car air conditioning components, systems and cool-down performance by computerized mathematical model and to analyze the performance of A/C system. In analyzing the heat exchanger(evaporator and condenser), the finite volume model which has a merit in predicting the temperature field in detail because it can consider partial variation of thermal property and heat transfer coefficient is used. In analyzing the compressor, the polytropic approach which regards the actual compression process as a reversible polytropic process is employed. In analyzing vehicle passenger compartment, the thermal network is employed to simulate the car cool down process. This A/C system program can be used for analyzing a component performance when a component is alternated or designed and for analyzing the engine cooling system when A/C system is operated.

  • A Linear Induction Motor that generates the direct thrust directly, is widely used for the operation system of electrified railroad, elevation system, conveyer system, and so on. There are two analysis methode of linear induction motor characteristics. One is the electrical magnetic analyzing, the other is analyzing equivalent circuit. The electrical magnetic analyzing methode has available advantages to consider the physical condition. The equivalent circuit analyzing methode has the elementary methode in the system of vector control and over shoot situation. In this paper, It is used the dynamic characteristic analyzing methode that can calculate efficiently the end effect by using equivalent circuit methode in the operating linear induction motor system modeling and doing simulation of output characteristics of vector controller.

  • PURPOSES : This study is to develop speed correction factor for more realistic Level-of-Service(LOS) at multilane highway. METHODS : In this study, we compared speed difference the degree of speed reductions in actual multilane road conditions with speed reduction considering speed correction factor presented in highway capacity manual using statistical techniques. And also we presents new speed correction factor analyzing collected data at national highway No.1 (Goyang~Wolrung). RESULTS : The result of analyzing and comparing new suggested speed correction factor with speed correction factor in Korea Highway Capacity Manual (KHCM) shows RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) in new speed correction factor (RMSE 1.5) is much lower than existing speed correction factor (RMSE 13.4). New suggested speed correction can be used for analyzing Level-of-Service at multilane highway. And also we suggests improvements for analysis procedure in analyzing Level-of-Service at multilane highway CONCLUSIONS : As a result of comparing differences, we draw the causes that effect the differences in speed and suggest new speed correction factor that consider traffic volumes. It can be more rational because it uses speed correction factor which can consider more realistic traffic conditions, etc.

Analysis of University-industry Needs to Improve University Evaluation Institution from Industry Perspective (산업계관점 대학평가 제도 개선을 위한 대학-산업체 요구분석)

  • This study was conducted with analyzing the perceptions of universities and industry regarding need analysis, curriculum design-implementation-outcomes, and the educational environment of the university evaluation institution from an industry perspective. First, as a result of analyzing the importance and implementation level of needs analysis, universities and industries recognized 'industrial trends in related fields' as the most important, but both groups perceived the implementation level to be significantly low. Second, as a result of analyzing the importance of implementing a curriculum based on industry needs, there was a difference in that universities recognized the 'adequacy of curriculum implementation based on industrial needs' and industries recognized the 'field training participation rate' as the most important. Third, as a result of analyzing the importance of curriculum outcomes based on industrial needs, it was found that both groups recognized 'field connection of major curriculum' as the most important. Fourth, as a result of analyzing the importance of the industry-university cooperative educational environment, it was found that both groups recognized 'construction and operation of experimental.practice educational facilities and infrastructure' as the most important. In short, the results of this study are expected to resolve the problem of mismatch between universities and industry in terms of talent development and education, and contribute to the effective implementation of the university evaluation institution from an industry perspective.

But the teaching and learning in mathematics classrooms still are traditional in nature. Analyzing from the cultural angle, some reasons can be found: the orientation of teachers' role, teaching, and learning, the relationships between a teacher and the students, understanding the mathematics, and examination.

  • Ethylene gas classified as one of five major plant hormones plays an important role in various plant metabolism. The precise analysis of ethylene production of plants or plant parts is a valuable research procedure because knowledge of ethylene production facilitates measures of the physiological activity within the tissue. This paper describes procedures for analyzing ethylene from plant tissues by gas chromatography and discusses problems associated with extracting gas samples either by introducing a vacuum to plant samples or by using a hypodermic syringe. Introduced are a continuous flow system for efficient analysis and an automated system for sampling, analyzing, calculating and recording ethylene production data.

  • (1) By comparing and analyzing the distribution of brightness as domestic lamps and Japanese products go thinner and lighter, we set an effective design standard. (2) By comparing and analyzing the feature, brightness, chromaticity and uniformity of domestic LGPs and Japanese products, early home-manufacturing and stabilization in home-manufacturing are possible.   • A finite element approach to analyzing the film pressure of engine bearings has been presented based on the viscosity-temperature equations. The calculated results from each viscosity model are compared with each other for various temperature models of the oil film. The FEM results show that the appropriate selection of the viscosity-temperature model is very important factor for analyzing the film pressure distribution of engine bearings.

  • A homing torpedo's performance can be expressed a function of many variables, i.e. technical and tactical variables. When designing a homing torpedo, these variables have to be decided upon. The system effectiveness of a homing torpedo can be determined by analyzing of these variables. This paper describes a procedure of simulation metamodelling using a Factor Analysis methodology. A simulation model was used in order to obtain the data base for analyzing detection probability of torpedo. By analyzing the main and interaction effects these variables on the analysis of detection probability, we will show the importance of certain variables, of a homing torpedo.
