The purpose of this study was to analyze recent research trends of mathematics textbooks to provide implications for textbook research and development. For this purpose, 90 out of 1121 research papers published between 2006 and 2011 in seven prestigious domestic journals were selected. The papers dealing with only Korean mathematics textbooks were analyzed by school levels (i.e., elementary or secondary), mathematics content areas, analytic methods, and implications. The papers comparing our mathematics textbooks with foreign counterparts were analyzed by reasons for the comparison, school levels, subjects for analysis, and implications. The results of this study urge us to pay more attention to secondary mathematics textbooks, least studied content areas, and various but inconsistent analytic methods. This paper also suggests close connections between textbook analysis and textbook development.

Objectives : Recently the number of obesity population has grown, the idea recognizing obesity as an obvious disease which needs medical treatments has increased too. Obesity has become a rising and serious issue of public health in many developed countries. In this study, analyzing 15 recent Chinese research papers written about obesity treatment, we tried to understand the recent trend in obesity treatment in China; and examine the special features and curative rates of their treatment. Methods : We searched recent research papers which was related to obesity. Search pool includes 9198 papers on 5 Chinese journal, 2302 papers on zhongyizazhi(中醫雜誌), 1826 papers on zhongsiyijehezazhi(中西醫結合雜紙), 2389 papers on xinzhongyi(新中醫), 1069 papers on shanghaizhongyiyazazhi(上海中醫藥雜紙), 1612 papers on zhejiangzhongyizazhi(淅江中醫藥雜). First, we searched with the term '肥'. Among the search results, we selected the papers containing the term '肥滿' or ', and excluded the other papers which had no direct relation to obesity.(e.g., ' '肥厚性' etc.) In this way, 21 papers were selected, 18 papers satisfied our study object. Among them we adopted 15 clinical papers for our study, excluding 3 experimental papers. Results : Acupuncture therapy; the rate of excellent curative effect ranges from 9.4% to 77.8%, that of curative effect from 68.7% to 94.3%. Herbal therapy; the rate of excellent curative effect ranges from 6.5% to 52.3%, that of curative effect from 72% to 93.8%. Combined method; the rate of excellent curative effect is 44.8%, that of curative effect 83.5%. Conclusions : These results provides evidence that acupuncture therapy is the most effective among acupuncture therapy, herbal therapy and combined method in treatment of obesity. In addition, acupuncture therapy that uses a small number of acupoints and strong stimulation is more effective than any other therapies.
This paper presents a preliminary analysis result on SAR-related journal papers published since 1960s. Abstracts of more than 2700 peer-reviewed English journal papers were collected and classified into various categories according to their systems, techniques, and application fields. Statistics on each category were provided so that one can understand historical and on-going development in SAR systems, techniques, and a variety of application fields such as land, ocean, cryosphere and atmosphere. This statistical data would be an essential guideline to establish a future SAR system application and satellite manoeuvring policy.
This study aims to compare and analyze the trends of research on mobile learning conducted in Korea and China to suggest future directions and multifaceted subject areas in its study field. To achieve this purpose, 620 Chinese papers from CNKI (CSSCI and CSCD) database and 205 Korean papers from RISS database (KCI and KCI candidate) published between 2009 and 2018 were selected to be analyzed through applying the frequency analysis and visualized semantic network analysis. The criteria for analysis used in this study are four types: publication years, research subjects, research methods, and keywords. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, in relation to the year of publication, Korea entered the peak of mobile learning research in 2016 (33 papers), and China reached high publications (94 papers) in 2017. Secondly, with regard to the research subjects, the most frequently studied subjects in Korea and China were targeted to college students, followed by general adult groups. Thirdly, in terms of research methods, quantitative research accounted for a high proportion in Korea, but in China, literature research showed a high frequency. Fourthly, the high frequency keywords appearing in mobile learning research of the two countries were mainly reflected in language learning. Based on the findings, several directions of future research for both countries were suggested.

Purpose: This study analyzed papers identified by entering the two keywords 'unification education' and 'university' during research from 2013 to 2022 in order to identify trends and key concepts in unification education research at domestic universities. Research design, data, and methodology: The study analyzed 224 papers, excluding those on primary, middle, and high school unification education, as well as unrelated and duplicate papers. The analysis included developing a co-occurrence network of keywords, utilizing topic modeling to categorize research types, and confirming visualizations such as word clouds and sociograms. Results: In the final analysis, the research identified 1,500 keywords, with notable ones like 'Korea,' 'education,' 'unification.' Centrality analysis, measuring influence through connected keywords, revealed that 'Korea,' 'education,' 'north,' and 'unification' held significant positions. Keywords with high centrality compared to their frequency included 'learning,' 'development,' 'training,' 'peace,' and 'language,' in that order. Conclusions: This study investigated trends and structures in university-level unification education by analyzing papers identified with the keywords 'unification education' and 'university.' The use of keyword network analysis aimed to elucidate patterns and structures in university-level unification education. The significance of the study lies in offering foundational data for future research directions in the field of unification education at universities.
The aim of the study was to analyze recent trends of experimental studies regarding to acupuncture and moxibustion (AM) through reviewing the 492 papers in the PubMed database in order to help researchers from overlapping study on the same theme and to spur them to investigate experimental studies on AM with understanding the current flow of that. For the analysis, we include papers in which abstract was written in English. First, we performed quantitative analysis of the experimental studies using whole of the first filtrated 492 papers. From this analysis, we could obtain the followings: 'Trends of study in the most frequently appeared journals and leading authors in experimental study of AM'. 'The number of papers and name of journals by leading authors in experimental study of AM'. 'Trends of Korean papers in the most frequently appeared journals and Korean leading authors in experimental study of AM", 'Classification of experimental studies related to acupuncture and moxibustion according to intervention methods or individual country' and 'Assortment of experimental studies related to acupuncture and moxibustion in terms of intervention methods on leading countries'. Second, we collected 72 papers considering impact factor of the journal and influential effect of the papers' result for qualitative analysis, and we divided the papers into pain related one or not, because the effect of AM on pain is major subject of AM study. The results showed that experimental studies regarding to AM still has several weakness such as limited usage of acupuncture points and inclined application of electroacupucture even though there are 361 acupuncture points in the human body and various kinds of stimulation methods using traditional needles and moxibustion. Therefore, we suggest that researchers should pay more attention to the study on basic AM research creatively and systematically through strengthening and enhancing the cooperation among colleges, research institutes and hospitals. Moreover, in order to promote the basic research of the AM, it is required that we need cross-disciplinary research as well as international collaboration research.
One of the biggest change in the history of the Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society[JKNS] had been introduced in 2005. From January 2005, all manuscripts submitted to JKNS should be written in English. This new regulation was followed by many changes in characteristics of the papers published on JKNS in 2005. The authors present an analysis of papers published on JKNS and compared with those of 2004 and 2003. In total, 184 articles were published in 2005. Since a review article was requested by the editorial office to the authors, 183 articles were peer reviewed. Eighty five clinical articles, 75 case reports, 19 laboratory investigations, two special articles and two technical reports were printed. This distribution was not statistically different from 2004's distribution [p=0.67], even though the ratio of clinical articles was decreased to 46.4% from 54.4%. Due to the change in language specification, English articles were increased with statistical significance [p<0.001]. There were several events related with copyright of the contents of the papers published on JKNS. We think these are some good points came with change in official language to English. General trends of the papers seemed to be in the right way.
