  • The maximum output torque developed by the machine is dependent on the allowable current rating and maximum voltage that the inverter can supply to the machine. Therefore, to use the inverter capacity fully, it is desirable to use the control scheme considering the voltage and current limit condition, which can yield the maximum torque per ampere over the entire speed range. This controller is controlled speed and current using hybrid PI(HBPI) controller and estimation of speed using ANN. Also, this paper is proposed control of maximum torque per ampere(MTPA) of induction motor. This strategy is proposed which is simple in structure and has the honest goal of minimizing the stator current magnitude for given load torque. The performance of the proposed induction motor drive with maximum torque control using HBPI controller is verified by analysis results at dynamic operation conditions.

Step-up and Step-down Asymmetrical 24-Pulse Autotransformer Rectifier

  • The existing 24-pulse autotransformer rectifier unit (ATRU) needs interphase reactors for parallel work of the rectifier bridges, and its output voltage cannot be regulated. Aiming at these problems, a step-up and step-down asymmetrical 24-pulse ATRU is proposed in this paper. The connections and turns ratios among transformer windings are well designed. In addition, a 15-degree phase difference is formed between two of the 24 voltage vectors produced by the transformer, which makes the four rectifier bridge groups produce a 24-pulse DC voltage without interphase reactors. Meanwhile, by adding extended winding to each phase of the transformer, wide-range regulation of the ATRU output voltage can be realized, and the reasonable voltage regulation range is between 0.2 and 1.6. The superposition of the voltage vectors and the principle of the voltage regulation are analyzed in detail. Furthermore, the turns ratio of the windings, winding current, output voltage, and kilovolt-ampere rating are all derived. Finally, the simulations and experiments are carried out, and the correctness of the principle and theoretical analysis of the new 24-pulse ATRU are verified.

  • 기존 상용 전기탐사장비의 한계는 간척지 갯벌 등 해성퇴적층 하부지반조사 적용이 매우 힘들거나, 불가능한 것으로 인지되어 왔다. 최근 전 세계적으로 해저면 또는 연안지역환경 전기탐사 필요성이 대두됨에 따라 자체개발 발전기 전원 5 Ampere 대전류 송신 전기탐사 현장적용이 광양만에서 확인된다. 항만관련 기반시설 연안투자는 지속 확대될 것으로 기존 탐사방법 지반조사에서 탈피하여 항만 교량, 해저터널, 해저 가스 층 등의 효과적 적용 가능성이 기대된다. 한편 조석변화를 고려한 대전류 전기 비저항탐사를 수위별로 시간대 측정하여 연약구역 효과를 비교 시도하였다. 대전류 송신은 탐사전선저항 길이를 고려한 덜 무거운 케이블 선택 설계가 현장야업 시 중요하다.

IPMSM의 비선형 적응 백스텝핑 속도 제어 (Nonlinear and Adaptive Back-Stepping Speed Control of IPMSM)

  • In this paper, a nonlinear controller based on adaptive back-stepping method is proposed for high performance operation of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM). First, in order to improve the performance of speed tracking, a nonlinear back-stepping controller is designed. In addition, since it is difficult to achieve the high quality control performance without considering parameter variation, a parameter estimator is included to adapt to the variation of load torque in real time. Finally, for the efficiency of power consumption of the motor, controller is designed to operate motor with the minimum current for the required maximum torque. The proposed controller is tested through experiment with a 1-hp Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) for the angular velocity reference tracking performance and load torque volatility estimation, and to test the Maximum Torque per Ampere (MTPA) operation. The result verifies the efficacy of the proposed controller.

Sensorless Control of IPMSM with a Simplified High-Frequency Square Wave Injection Method

  • This paper presents a sensorless speed control of IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) using the high-frequency (HF) square wave injection method. In the proposed HF pulsating square wave injection method, injection voltage is applied into the estimated d-axis of rotor and high-frequency induced q-axis current is considered to estimate the rotor position. Conventional square wave injection methods may need complex demodulation process to find rotor position, while in the proposed method, an easy demodulation process based on the rising-falling edge of the injected voltage and carrier induced q-axis current is implemented, which needs less processing time and improves control bandwidth. Unlike some saliency-based sensorless methods, the proposed method uses maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) strategy, instead of zero d-axis command current strategy, to improve control performance. Furthermore, this paper directly uses resultant d-axis current to detect the magnet polarity and eliminates the need to add an extra pulse injection for magnet polarity detection. As experimental results show, the proposed method can quickly find initial rotor position and MTPA strategy helps to improve the control performance. The effectiveness of the proposed method and all theoretical concepts are verified by mathematical equations, simulation, and experimental tests.

  • 현재 국내에서 제조되는 저압 30AF(Ampere Frame) 소형 차단기의 경우 선로 단락사고 시 특성에 따라 순시 (Instantaneous) 동작이 다르게 반응함으로써 정전범위 확대, 정격단락차단용량(Rated short-circuit breaking capacities) 초과로 인한 폭발 및 Trip시 Arc방출 등 많은 문제점을 보이고 있다. 최종부하의 전단에 설치되는 저압차단기(Low voltage circuit-breakers)는 그 기능 및 역할이 큰 만큼 안전성을 중대시키는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 논문은 국내에서 제조되는 30AF 소형 차단기의 사고유형과 제조사별 순시 Trip 동작속도의 시험 data를 확보하여 이를 분석하였다. 이는 향후 저압차단기의 안전에 관한 규격개정에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • FIB equipment can perform sputtering and chemical vapor deposition simultaneously. It is very advantageously used to fabricate a micro structure part having 3D shape because the minimum beam size of ${\phi}$ 10nm and smaller is available. Currently FIB is not being applied in the fabrication of this micro part because of some problems to redeposition and charging effect of the substrate causing reduction of accuracy with regards to shape and productivity. Furthermore, the prediction of the material removal rate information should be required but it has been insufficient for micro part fabrication. The paper have the targets that are FIB-CVD characteristic analysis and minimum line pattern resolution achievement fur 3D micro fabrication. We make conclusions with the analysis of the results of the experiment according to beam current, pattern size and scanning parameters. CVD of 8 pico ampere shows superior CVD yield but CVD of 1318 pico ampere shows the pattern sputtered. And dwell time is dominant parameter relating to CVD yield.

  • Hybrid electric vehicles have attracted much attention of late, emphasizing the necessity of developing traction motors with a high input current and a wide speed range. Among such traction motors, various researches have been conducted on interior permanent-magnet synchronous motors (IPMSMs) with high power density and mechanical solidity. Due to the complexity of its parameters, however, with nonlinear motor characteristics and current vector control, it is actually difficult to accurately estimate the base speed within an actual operating speed range or a voltage limit. Moreover, it is impossible to construct an efficiency map as the efficiency differs according to the control mode. In this study, a simulation method for operation performance considering the nonlinearity of IPMSM was proposed. For this, datasets of various nonlinear parameters were made via the finite-element method and interpolation. Maximum torque-per-ampere and flux-weakening control were accurately simulated using the datasets, and an IPMSM efficiency map was accurately constructed based on the simulation. Lastly, the validity of the simulation was verified through tests.

  • 본 논문은 저속 운전을 포함한 영구자속의 자속 추정을 통하여 Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM)의 토크 오차를 보상하는 기법에 대해 기술한다. 영구자속의 자속은 온도에 따라 변화한다. 동손을 최소화하기 위해 적용되는 Maximum Torque per Ampere (MTPA)는 영구자속의 자속 추정값을 이용하여 구현되기 때문에 영구자석의 자속이 변화할 경우, 토크 오차가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 쇄교자속관측기를 이용하여 영구자석의 자속을 실시간으로 추정하여 제어알고리즘에 적용함으로써 토크 오차를 보상하는 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.
