Ginseng Is renowned for both its medicinal and herbal uses and successful cultivation of Panax ginseng in Asia and Panax quinquefolium in North America has until recently taken place in the native geographical ranges of the plants. As a consequence of the potential high capital return and anticipated increases in consumer consumption, commercial cultivation of American ginseng now occurs well outside the native range of the plant in North America. In fact, the region of greatest expansion of cultivation is in the semi-arid interior region of British Columbia, Canada. Linked with this expansion is the potential domination of the ginseng industry by agricultural corporations. In the interior of British Columbia, the native deciduous forest environment of eastern North America is simulated with elevated polypropylene shade and a surface covering of straw mulch. The architecture of these environments is designed to permit maximum machinery usage and to minimize labor requirements. Further, with only a four- years growth cycle, plant densities in the gardens are high. In this hot, semi-arid environment, producers believe they have a competitive advantage over other regions in North America because of the low precipitation rates. This helps to minimize atmospheric humidity such that the conditions for fungal disease development are reduced. If soil moisture level become limited, supplemental water can be provided by irrigation. The nature of the radiation and energy balance regimes of the shade and many environments promotes high soil moisture levels. Also, the modified environment redlines soil heating. This can result in an aerial environment for the plant that is stressful and a rooting zone environment that is suloptimal. The challenge of further refining the man modified environment for enhanced plant growth and health still remains. Keywords Panax ginseng, Panax quinquefolium, cultivation, ginseng production.

Jacqueline Kennedy was one of first lady in America and made influence on the fashion of the woman at that time. She made the first American fashion style. Jacqueline became a prominent model and style-setter in fashion world. She created peculiar fashion style which is called 'Jacky style' and her fashion power of influence appears in the present time. At that time, Haute Couture of France had led the world fashion, however since Jacqueline style came into fashion, American beauty and elegance was introduced to other countries. This study reviews the representative fashion item of Jacqueline Kennedy who was one of the fashion leader in the world. The result to appear in her style is follows. First, Jacqueline could express the young fashion that young people wanted a progressive and new thing because she was much younger than their predecessors. Second, she made her image bright and young, so she became a representative person who expressed 'changing America women'. She created a new appearance which is very simple in design, practical in function and elegant and it is turned into the typical style of American high fashion. Finally, through Jacqueline's fashion, not only she made the image of America upper classes that is very elegant and grace without dependence on the fashion of France, but also she is leading one of parts at a fashion style the present time. Since then, the fashion of America could become the center of a world fashion by Jacqueline. Important thing is that she wore suitable cloths as a first lady who was a outstanding fashion leader.

본 논문에서는 해양레저분야에서의 현재 복합재 적용 현황과 33피트급 아메리카스컵 훈련용 세일링 요트 개발에 대해 기술한다. 항공분야와 달리 해양레저 분야에서의 복합재료는 최근에서야 적용 및 사용이 되기 시작했다. 다양한 해양레저 구조물 중에서도 특히, 아메리카스컵 세일링 경주 요트는 빠른 속도를 내야 하기 때문에 경량화 및 높은 기계적 성능이 요구되고 이에 따라 경주용 요트를 건조함에 있어 탄소섬유의 사용은 필수적이다. 탄소섬유강화 플라스틱 경주용 요트 제작 과정을 정립하기 위해 탄소 돛대와 탄소 요트 선체에 대한 최적화 설계와 생산 공법에 대해 논의되었다. 최종적으로 이렇게 제작된 탄소섬유강화복합재 세일링 요트는 운항시험을 통해 경주용 요트로써의 높은 성능을 보여주었다.

본 연구에서는 공적개발원조(ODA), 해외직접투자(FDI), 수출과 수입 등 무역이 남미 경제발전에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 실증 분석하고자 하였다. 1960년~2014년까지 자료를 기반으로 실증분석 결과 브라질은 ODA 보다는 FDI와 무역이 경제성장에 지대한 영향을 미친 것으로 확인되었고, 아르헨티나는 FDI, ODA가 긍정적인 영향을 주었고, 베네주엘라, 페루의 경우에는 ODA가 FDI가 무역보다 더 경제성장에 큰 영향을 준 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 실증분석 결과를 바탕으로 우리가 알 수 있는 것은 저개발국가의 경제성장을 위한 선진국들의 정책지원이 경제성장 단계에 따라 다르게 시행되어야 한다는 것이다. 경제발전 초기인 경우 ODA를 증대하여 경제성장의 기반을 조성하는 것이 필요하고, 경제성장의 도약기인 경우에는 FDI나 무역증대를 통해 경제성장을 촉진하는 정책실행이 중요하다는 시사점을 도출하였다.

Terrorism은 21세기 새로운 세계질서의 형성과정에서 핵심적인 가치관으로 등장하였으며 인류의 삶의 질을 결정하는 중요한 요소가 되었다. 국제 Terrorism을 리드하고 있는 중동지역 Terrorism은 인류의 수세기 동안 농축되어온 종교적 이념대립과 지역적 생존권 다툼에서 기원하며, 종교 문화적인 단층에서 발생하는 충돌양상으로 볼 수 있다. 이는 9.11 WTC Terror를 분기점으로 이슬람 원리주의 Terrorism과 미국을 중심으로 한 기독교 서방세력의 대립으로 가시화 되었으며 그 전망은 부정적이다. 미국의 Terrorism에 대한 강경한 대외정책으로 국가지원 Terrorism은 근절되겠지만 이슬람권 아랍민족의 반미감정의 결집은 전투적 이슬람 원리주의 전사들에 의한 반미 ${\cdot}$반서방 Terror를 심화시킬 것이며 현재 자생적으로 발생 진화되는 양상이 나타나고 있으며, 세계적으로 확산될 조짐이 나타나고 있다. 이는 우리나라에게도 당면한 위협이며, 이에 대한 대비는 종교, 민족 등 근본적인 문명의 괘선에 대한 접근을 통해 능동적인 국가의 대책이 필요한 시점이다.
