표면처리된 흑연 보트를 이용한 알루미늄의 증발 특성 (Evaporation Characteristics of Aluminum by Using Surface-treated Graphite Boat)

  • Resistive heating sources are widely used to prepare thin films by vapor deposition because they are cheap, and easy to install and handle in vacuum system. Graphite is one of materials used to make the resistive heating source, but until now only limited applications have been possible as it reacts easily with evaporating materials at high temperature. In this study, evaporation characteristics of aluminum have been investigated by using graphite boat thermally treated with BN powder. The employed graphite boat has been prepared by spray-coating BN power onto the cavity surface of the boat and thermal treatment with aluminum in vacuum at the temperature of more than $1400^{\circ}C$. The voltage-current characteristics as well as resistivity changes of the graphite boat have been investigated during aluminum evaporation according to the applied voltage and time. The evaporation aspect has been picturized during flash evaporation for 40 seconds based on the characterization results. The evaporation rate of the graphite boat has been compared with that of BN boat. The graphite boat showed some different characteristics compared with BN boat, in that the evaporation occurred at the last stage of flash evaporation. The film appearance according to the applied voltage has been compared, and also the reflectance of the resulting film has been investigated according to the film thickness. It has been found that the graphite boat thermally treated with BN powder can be used for aluminum evaporation without problem.

소형선박용 5000계/6000계 알루미늄합금제의 마찰교반접합 특성 연구 (FSW Properties of Aluminum alloy 5000/6000 for Small Boat)

  • There are so many difficulties of melt bonding mainly applied for hull construction of a aluminum alloy small boat. For resolving this problem, Friction stir welding(FSW) in non-melting solid state welding Process generally is applied in the transport industry. This paper is studied the joining strength characteristics and macrostructure according to dissimilar aluminium 5000/6000 alloy joining for a small boat applied for this FSW technology. It is reported that difference of joining strength in accordance with the direction of rotation in case of friction stir welding between dissimilar metals(Al/Cu, Al/Fe) is also highly large. In this study, Test is carried out by making the specimen according to the direction of rotation of dissimilar aluminium alloy joining.

30피트급 고속 알루미늄 레저보트 선형개발과 저항성능에 관한 연구 (Study on Hull Form Development and Resistance Performance of High Speed Aluminum Leisure Boat)

  • A 30ft class aluminum leisure boat is newly developed and the resistance performances are investigated by a model test at a high-speed circulating water channel. The effect of a fin attached to the side of the hull is studied at two different displacements. Wave patterns are observed to make clear the relationship between the resistance performance and wave characteristics. It can be found that a chine position at the draft line can have a strong effect on the resistance performance around a certain velocity range.

  • In the device structure of ITO/tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum ($Alq_3$)/Al device, we investigated the efficiency improvement of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) depending on the hole-size of crucible boat. The device was manufactured using a thermal evaporation under the base pressure of $5{\times}10^{-6}\;Torr$. The $Alq_3$ organics were evaporated to be 100 nm thick at a deposition rate of $1.5\AA/s$, and in order to investigate the optimal surface roughness of $Alq_3$, the $Alq_3$ was thermally evaporated to be 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, and 1.5 mm as a hole-size of the boat, respectively. We found that luminance and external quantum efficiency are superior when the hole-size of the boat is 1.0 mm. The external quantum efficiency of the device made with the hole-size of 1.0 mm boat were improved by a factor of ten compared to the devices made with the hole-size of non boat.

고속 경구조선 알루미늄 판부재의 구조강도 고찰 (Consideration of the Structural Strength of High Speed Aluminum Planning Boat Plate Member)

  • In order to establish a design guide for the bottom plate structure of a 4.3 ton aluminum planning boat, the feasibilities of bottom plate scantling of the ship are investigated based on the results of structural strength analysis and a simple equation and evaluation system are developed for initial structural design purposes. This study consists of 5 steps: First, the background, necessity, and purpose of this study are explained briefly, Second, the principal dimensions of this ship, the position of the considered bottom plate members and material characteristics are introduced. Third, the equivalent design pressure concept is introduced and evaluated based on experience and experimental data. Fourth, the strength of bottom plate members are examined using elasto-plastic nonlinear structural analysis, and response levels and several boundary conditions are reviewed based on the analysis results. Finally, in order to suggest design guides in respect to the ship's structural design, a simple design equation and evaluation system for bottom plate members are suggested for boats in the 4.3 ton aluminumboat range through the introduction of safety factorsbased on the ultimate design pressure concept.

  • 플레저 선박은 주로 FRP(Fiber reinforced plastic)를 주재료로 제작되고 있으나 2000년대에 들어오면서 FRP 선체에 대한 환경오염 및 해양안전에 관한 법규 규제가 강화되고 있다. 즉, FRP는 재활용이 불가능하며 폐기시 자연에서 분해되는 데 100년이상 걸리는 매우 반환경적 특성을 가지고 있다. 일반 선체 재료로서는 강, 알루미늄, FRP를 제안하고 있으며 이에 따른 구조설계규격 및 재료설계강도를 제안하고 있다. 그러나 소형 선박에 적합한 염가 재료에 대한 연구는 전혀 진행되지 않고 있으며 단지 소형조선산 업계에서 카누나 카약 선체를 폴리에틸렌을 이용하여 제작하여 판매하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고 밀도 폴리에틸렌을 이용하여 보트를 설계 및 제작하기 위하여 실적선을 기초로 선체의 선형을 완성한 뒤 ISO 12215-5의 소형 선체에 대한 구조설계기준을 적용하여 선체 치수를 결정하였다.

  • Electrical characteristics of organic light-emitting diodes were investigated by varying a hole-size in evaporation boat in the device structure of ITO/tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum$(Alq_3)$/Al. The device was manufactured using a thermal evaporation under a base pressure of $5{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr. The $Alq_3$ emitting organics were evaporated to be a thickness of 100 nm at a deposition rate of $1.5{\AA}/s$. A cylindrical-shaped evaporation boat was made out of stainless steel with a small size of hole on top of the boat. Several evaporation boats were made having a different hole size on top; 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, and 3.0 mm. We found that when the hole size on top of the evaporation boat is 1.0 mm, the average roughness is rather smoother compared to the other ones. Also, luminance and external quantum efficiency are superior to the others. Compared to the ones from the devices made with the hole-size of 0.8 mm boat. The luminance and external quantum efficiency of the device made with the hole-size of 1.0 mm boat were improved by a factor of seventy and thirty three, respectively. Also operating voltage is reduced to 2 V.

디지털 목업 모델 기반 40ft 급 알루미늄 레저보트 설계 (Basic Design of 40ft Class Pleasure Boat based on Digital Mock-up)

  • 레저선박의 대형화와 고부가가치화로 인해 설계 요구조건은 점차 까다로워지고 있으며, 제작공정 또한 기존보다 복잡해지고 있다. 해외의 레저선박 제작업체들은 PLM 개념 기반 3차원 모델 설계시스템 구축을 통하여 이러한 환경을 극복하기 위해 노력하고 있다. 반면 국내의 경우 아직까지 2차원 도면 중심의 전통적인 레저선박 개발 프로세스에 머물고 있으며, 일부 3차원 모델 기반 설계시스템을 갖추기 위한 노력이 있었으나 이는 매우 초기단계에 속한다. 본 연구에서는 DMU 기술을 레저선박 설계 프로세스에 적용하기 위한 초기연구를 수행하였다. DMU 모델 중심으로 레저선박 설계를 수행함으로써 DMU 모델 기반 설계 프로세스를 정립하였고, 40 ft급 알루미늄 레저보트 설계사례를 통해 그 효용성을 입증하였다.
