양이온성 계면활성제를 이용한 유기 벤토나이트의 합성시 금속 이온의 첨가 영향 (Effect of Metal Ion on the Bentonite Modified with Cationic Surfactant)

  • 본 연구에서는 이보다 더 성능이 향상된 유기 벤토나이트의 제작을 위해 Hexadecyltrimethylammonium(HDTMA)보다 흡착능력이 더 좋을 것으로 예상 되어지는 양이온성 계면 활성제인 Dodecyldimethylethylammonium(DDDEA)와 금속 이온을 유기 벤토나이트 합성 시 동시에 첨가하여 합성방법에 대한 비교와 인 제거 성능을 비교해 보았다. 다양한 유기 벤토나이트의 제조 방법으로 실험해본 결과 금속 이온을 이용하여 층간 가교 점토를 합성한 후 DDDEA 계면 활성제 용액을 첨가하여 합성한 유기 벤토나이트가 계면활성제의 흡착이 가장 좋은 흡착 능력을 보였고 따라서 오염 물질 제거해도 효율 적일 것이라는 예상을 할 수 있었다. 또한 인의 제거 실험에서도 금속이온 층간 가교 점토에 계면 활성제 용액을 첨가하여 합성한 유기 벤토나이트가 약 81%의 가장 높은 인 제거 효율을 보여 주었다. 결과적으로 알루미늄 금속의 첨가를 통해 계면활성제의 흡착이 기존의 HDTMA 유기 벤토나이트보다 더 많이 일어나게 되어 유기 오염 물질의 제거가 잘 이루어질 것으로 예상 되었고 인의 제거도 잘 이루어 졌지만 탈착 실험에서는 금속 이온으로 인하여 계면활성제의 탈착 또한 잘 일어나게 되었다.

A5083-0 알루미늄 합금재의 용접부위의 평면 굽힘 피로에 의한 피로균열성장 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the fatigue crack growth characteristics of weldments of A5083-0 Al-alloy by plane bending fatigue)

  • Surface fatigue crack propagation tests by plane bending fatigue were conducted on the welding specimens of an aluminium alloy, A5083-0, having an edge through thickness notch to study the fatigue crack growth characteristics. Moreover, the experiments were performed in order to clarify the fatigue crack initiation and growth. The properties of fatigue crack growth were quantitatively inspected in welded metal, heat-affected zone and base metal of the welding specimens. The main results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. It is found that the hardness distributions of A5083-0 aluminium alloy weldments are quite different with those of steel material weldments, so that the hardness distribution becomes lower in the following order: base metal, heat-affected zone and weld metal. 2. It is observed that the grain size of this specimen weldment appears to be almost equal to the base metal, when TIC welding method is adopted. 3. In a surface fatigue crack initiation and growth, the fatigue crack does not begin by opening-closing mechanism until hardening is saturated at the crack tip. 4. The fatigue crack growth characteristics of A5083-0 alluminium alloy weldments can be concluded.$${\frac{da}{dn}}=C({\Delta}K)^n=3.8{\times}10^{-9}{({\frac}{1}{2}{\Delta}S_t{\sqrt{{\pi}a}})}^{2.4}$$

  • Blanking is one of the most frequently used processes in sheet metal forming. In this paper, attention is paid to the blanking simulation of aluminium foil with $20{\mu}m$ thickness which is used an anode in lithium-ion polymer battery. In order to study the shearing mechanism for the metallic foil, finite element analysis with Crockroft and Latham fracture criterion was performed. The objective of the present work is to evolve a methodology to obtain the optimum punch-die clearance for a given aluminium foil by the simulation of the blanking process using a general purpose FEM code.

자동차 보수도장용 수용성 도료의 도장특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Painting Characteristics of Waterborne Paint for Automotive Refinish)

  • This paper investigates the correlation between surface roughness and gloss of aluminium sheet painted waterborne paint. One customer criterion of automotive quality is the as-painted appearance of the final products. Especially, the current emphasis on control of surface roughness of sanded aluminium sheet has been prompted by the automotive industry's concern with the as-painted appearance. because the influence of such characteristics on paintability, and painted appearance is important in defining outer panel requirements for automobile. This paper is dedicated primarily to the issue of painted appearance and reviews for improvement of roughness. The conclusions are obtained as follows ; 1) Painted aluminium sheet appearance is strongly affected by surface roughness of base-metal and influenced by sand paper and sanding method. 2) The painted appearance of aluminium sheets was determined and related to surface roughness parameters, combination of sand paper.

  • Rapidly-solidified P/M aluminium alloys for automobile and home appliance industries were developed. Rapidly-solidification made it possible to refine microstructures and to expand the range of alloy composition. For example, Al-Si alloys containing transition metal have lower thermal expansion coefficient, more excellent wear resistance, higher strength, and better machinability than those of conventional aluminium alloys. Therefore, in Japan, the technologies on powder-extrusion and powder-forging of aluminium alloy powders are developed for fifteen years, and applied to several parts, such as cylinder liners of motor cycle engines, rotors and vanes of compressors for car air conditioner, oil pump rotor for racing car, and so on. In this presentation, applications for automobile are mentioned. In particular, cylinder liners made of particle-dispersed composites with fine alumina and graphite are in detail described.

  • Due to the electric power shortage in summer season and regulation of freon refrigerant, the application of gas absorption refrigeration and hot water systems are considerably increasing trend. But, this system consists of condenser, heat exchanger, supply pipe and radiator etc. which are easily corroded by acidity and dissolved oxygen and gases. In result, this system occurs scale attachment and corrosion damage like pitting and crevice corrosion. In this study, electrochemical polarization test of heat exchanger tubing material (copper, aluminium brass, 30% cupronickel(30% Cu-Ni)) was carried out in 60% lithium bromide solution at $95^{\circ}C$. As a result of polarization test, corrosion behavior by impressed potential and local corrosion. such as galvanic corrosion, pitting corrosion behavior, of tubing materials was investigated. The main results obtained are as follows: (1) The effect of pitting and crevice corrosion control of 30% cupronickel in 60% LiBr solution at $95^{\circ}C$ is very excellent. (2) Dissimilar metal corrosion of 30% cupronickel coupling to aluminium bronze is the most sensitive. (3) Current density behavior of tube materials by impressed potential is high in order of copper > aluminium brass > 30% cupronickel.

알루미늄 기지 금속복합재료의 기계적 성질에 미치는 제조변수의 영향 (Effects of Processing Parameters on the Mechanical Properties of Aluminium Matrix Composites)

  • The effects of additional Mg content, the size and volume fraction of reinforcement phase on the mechanical properties of ceramic particle reinforced aluminium matrix composites fabricated by pressureless metal infiltration process were investigated. The hardness of $SiC_p/AC8A$ composites increased gradually with an increase in the additive Mg content, while the bending strength of $SiC_p/AC8A$ composites increased with an increase in additive Mg content up to 5%. However, this decreased when the level of additive Mg content was greater than 5% due to the formation of coarse precipitates by excessive Mg reaction and an increase in the porosity level. The hardness and strength of the composites increased with decreasing the size of SiC particle. It was found that the composites with smaller particles enhanced the interfacial bonding than those with bigger particles from fractography of the composites. The hardness of $Al_2O_{3p}/AC8A$ composites increased gradually with an increase in the volume fraction, however, the bending strength of $Al_2O_{3p}/AC8A$ composites decreased when the volume fraction of alumina particle was greater than 40% owing to the high porosity level.

  • 덕티드 로켓의 가스발생기에 사용되는 추진제는 연료과농 추진제로서, 일반적인 고체 로켓 추진제에 비하여 과량의 금속연료와 소량의 산화제를 포함한다. 본 논문에서는 연료과농 추진제를 제조하기 위하여 보론 분말과 MgAl(Magnesium-Aluminium Alloy)를 적용하였다. 이 금속연료를 적용한 추진제의 특성을 분석하였고, 이를 통하여 최적의 조성을 연구하였다. 추진제의 연소생성물 분석을 통하여 보론 비드가 아닌 미립의 보론 분말로도 가스발생기용 연료과농 추진제가 가능함을 확인하였다.

삽입금속을 사용한 구상흑연주철과 2024 알루미늄합금의 마찰압접에 관한 연구 (Friction Welding of Spheroidal Graphite Cast Iron and 2024 Aluminium Alloys using Insert Metal)

  • Friction welding of GCD45 spheroidal graphite cast iron and 2024 aluminum alloy has been studied, especially in terms of the joint faces and strength of friction welding. For appropriate results of the friction welding of GCD45 graphite cast iron and 2024 aluminum alloy, an insert of A1050 pure aluminum metal was used. The joint strength of the A1050 pure aluminum insert approached the maximum strength of 165.7Mpa, compared to 128MPa for the joint between GCD45 graphite cast iron and A1050 pure aluminum without the insert metal. Maximum strength, 165.7Mpa, was possible for the following optimum conditions: 20MPa for the friction pressure, P1, 60MPa for the upsetting pressure, P2, 1 second for the friction time, t1, 3000rpm for the rotation, N, and 0.3 seconds for the brake time, tB.

알루미늄 A6005 압출 패널의 마찰교반용접 특성 연구 (A Study on the Friction Stir Welding Properties of A6005 Extruded Aluminum Panels)

  • 알루미늄합금 철도차량의 차제를 조립하기 위하여 적용하는 용접방식으로는 가스 메탈 아크용접과 가스 텅스텐 아크용접이 주로 적용되고 있다. 그러나 알루미늄합금은 강재에 비해 용접성이 불리하며, 용접결함을 제어하기 위하여 보다 엄격한 용접조건과 용접설비의 작업환경이 요구된다. 따라서 선진국을 중심으로 비 용융 고상접합 방식인 마찰교반용접(FSW)이 널리 상용화 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 대형 중공형 알루미늄합금 차량에 적용되는 압출재 A6005 소재의 마찰교반용접 시 용접변수에 따른 용접부의 기계적 특성을 평가하고, 적용 공구에 대한 최적의 용접조건을 파악하고자 하였다.
