PROFIBUS에서 대역폭 할당 기법 구현 및 실험적 평가 (Implementation and Experimental Evaluation of Bandwidth Allocation Scheme on PROFIBUS)

  • Fieldbus is the lowest level industrial network in the communication hierarchy of factory automation and distributed process control systems. Data generated from field devices are largely divided into three categories : time-critical, periodic and time-available data. Because these data share one fieldbus medium, it needs a method that allocates these data to the bandwidth-limited fieldbus medium. This paper introduces an implementation method of bandwidth allocation scheme on PROFIBUS. In order to implement bandwidth allocation scheme on PROFIBUS, the following functions need to be supplemented on the FDL(Fieldbus Datalink Layer) protocol: (i) separation of medium bandwidth into periodic and non-periodic intervals, (ii) synchronization of node timers over a local link. In order to examine the validity of bandwidth allocation scheme on PROFIBUS, this paper develops an experimental model of a network system. The results obtained from the experimental model show that the bandwidth allocation scheme satisfies the performance requirement of time-critical, periodic and time-available data.

KTX-II 고속 차량을 위한 신뢰도 할당 모델 (Reliability Allocation Model for KTX-II High Speed Train)

  • During the design phase of a system, which requires high reliability and safety such as aircraft, high speed train and nuclear power plant, reliability engineer must set up the target system reliability. To meet a reliability goal for the system, reliability allocation should be done gradually from the system to its element. For this end, first of all, we need to construct functional block diagram based on the design output and PWBS(Project Work Breakdown System). Another important input data for reliability allocation is the relationship between the cost and the reliability. In this study we investigate various reliability allocation models, which can be applicable to aircraft, vehicle, and power plant, and etc. And we suggest a proper reliability allocation model which can be effectively applicable to KTX-II high speed train to achieve the target system reliability.

  • 본 논문에서는 Real-Time Linux를 위한 메모리 할당 모델을 제안한다. 제안 모델은 사용자로 하여금 하나의 응용에 여러 개의 연속된 메모리 영역들을 생성하고, 각 영역마다 별도의 영역 할당 정책을 설정한 후, 원하는 영역으로부터 필요한 메모리 블록을 할당 받을 수 있게 한다. 이를 위해 기존의 단일 메모리 관리 모듈 대신 할당 정책을 구현한 영역 할당자 모듈과 이를 제어하는 영역 관리자 모듈로 세분한 두 단계 분리 구조를 채택했다. 이 구조는 할당 정책을 할당 메커니즘으로부터 분리함으로써, 시스템 개발자로 하여금 필요한 경우 동일한 할당 정책을 서로 다른 알고리즘을 사용하여 구현할 수 있게 한다. 또한 사전에 정의된 인터페이스를 준수할 경우 새로운 할당 정책을 쉽게 구현해 삽입할 수 있고, 불필요한 정책은 시스템에서 제거할 수도 있다. 제안 모델은 다수개의 할당 정책들을 사전에 구현하여 제공함으로써, 시스템 구축자로 하여금 매번 기존 정책들을 새로이 구현할 필요 없이 제공된 정책들 중 해당 응용에 가장 적합한 정책들만을 선택하여 시스템을 재구성할 수 있게 한다.

  • This study is focused on the problem of seat allocation for group travel demand in airlines. We first explain the characteristic of group demand and its seat allocation process. The group demand in air travel markets can be classified into two types : incentive and package groups. Allocating seats for group demand depends on the types of group demand and the relationship between airlines and travel agents. In this paper we concentrate on the package group demand and develop an optimization model for seat allocation on the demand to maximize the total revenue. With some assumptions on the demand distribution and the linear approximation technique, we develop a mixed IP model for solving our problem optimally. From the computational experiments, we can find our optimization model can be applied well for real-world application.

  • In this paper, we deal with an allocation model of vertical type container yard for minimizing the total ATC work time and the equivalence of ATC work´s load in each block on automated container terminal. Firstly, a layout of automated container terminal yard is shown. The characteristic of equipment which is operated in the terminal and basic assumption are given. Next, an allocation model which concerns with minimizing the total work time and the equivalence of work´s load is proposed for the effectiveness of ATC work in automated container terminal. Also, a weight values on critical function are suggested to adjust the critical values by evaluating the obtained allocation plan.   • This research proposes a resource allocation model of Data QC (Quality Control) activities using COQ (Cost of Quality). The model has been developed based on a series of research efforts such as COQ classifications, weight determination of Data QC activities, and an aggregation approach between COQ and Data QC activities. In the first stage of this research, COQ was divided into the four typical classifications (prevention costs, appraisal costs, internal failure costs and external failure costs) through the opinions from five professionals in Data QC. In the second stage, the weights of Data QC activities were elicited from the field professionals. An aggregation model between COQ and Data QC activities has been then proposed to help the practitioners make a resource allocation strategy. DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) was utilized for locating efficient decision points. The proposed resource allocation model has been validated using the case of Korea national defense information system. This research is unique in that it applies the concept of COQ to the data management for the first time and that it demonstrates a possible contribution to a real world case for budget allocation of national defense information.

Co-authorship Credit Allocation Methods in the Assessment of Citation Impact of Chemistry Faculty

  • This study examined changes in citation index scores and rankings of thirty-five chemistry faculty members at Seoul National University using different co-authorship credit allocation models. Using 1,436 Web of Science papers published between 2007 and 2013, we applied the inflated, fractional, harmonic, network-based allocation, and harmonic+ models to calculate faculty's h-, R-, and normalization of h- and R- index scores and rankings. The harmonic+ model, which is based on our belief that contribution of primary authors should be the same regardless of collaboration, is designed to minimize the penalty for research collaboration imposed by harmonic and NBA models by boosting the contribution of collaborating primary authors to be on the equal footing with single authors. Although citation rankings by different models are correlated with each other within the same type of citation indicator, rankings of many faculty members changed across models, suggesting the importance of an accurate and relevant authorship credit allocation model in the citation assessment of researchers. The study also found that authorship patterns in conjunction with citation counts are important factors for robust authorship models such as harmonic and NBA, and harmonic+ model may be beneficial for collaborating primary authors. Future research that reexamines the models with updated empirical data would provide further insights into the robustness of the models.

농촌마을개발의 시설배치 및 시각적 평가 지원을 위 한 공간계획 모형 (A Spatial Planning Model for Supporting Facilities Allocation and Visual Evaluation in Improvement of Rural Villages)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a 3 dimensional spatial planning model (3DSPLAM) for facilities allocation and visual evaluation in improvement planning of rural village. For the model development, this study developed both planning layers and a modelling process for spatial planning of rural villages. The 3DSPLAM generates road networks and village facilities location automatically from built area plan map and digital elevation model generated by geographic information system. The model also simulates 3-dimensional villagescape for visual presentation of the planned results. The 3DSPLAM could be conveniently used for automatic allocation of roads, easy partition of land lots and reasonable locating of facilities. The planned results could be also presented in the stereoscopic models with varied viewing positions and angles.

한국고속철도를 위한 차량운용 및 할당시스템 (KTX Trainset Maintenance Routing and Allocation System for Korea High-Speed Rail)

  • In this paper we present a model for the maintenance routing construction and the trainset allocation (maintenance routing problem). The model solves the maintenance routing problem using column generation algorithm which was used to combine constraint programming and linear programming. Ilog-cplex was used to solve the linear programming model and Ilog-solver was used to solve the constraint programming model. The computational experience is also provided.

  • 인구가 증가하고 경제가 발전하면서 한정된 수자원에 대한 다양한 수요자의 수자원 확보 경쟁이 발생하고 있다. 이러한 현실로 인해 법과 제도에 의한 물배분에 대한 관심이 커지고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 한정된 수자원을 확보하기 위한 수요자에게 배분하기 위한 유역 전체를 고려한 최적의 물배분 기법을 개발하였다. 이러한 물배분 기법은 유역 전반에 걸친 분석를 고려할 때 최적화 기법에 의존할 수밖에 없으며 제시된 모형은 경제적 효율성, 형평성, 지속가능성의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 노력하였다. 적절한 사례연구를 통하여 기존의 수리권 시스템과 더불어 제시된 모형을 검토 되었다. 도출된 결과는 복잡한 수문학적 시스템뿐만 아니라 법적, 제도적 제약조건 하에서의 적용성을 보여 주고 있다.
