This paper provides essential information on research completed with the aim to develop a 'dc motor test and analysis platform' which can be used to provide dc motor characteristics, calculate losses and efficiency, and also work as a dc motor speed controller. A user can test a given dc motor for these analyses by practicing different conventional methods, but, the concept discussed in this paper, reveals how intelligent integration of all these analyses can be done with a single user friendly automated setup. Integration has been accomplished by a technique that can accommodate all types of dc motors with different ratings at various loading conditions. However, experimentally measured results of a 0.5HP separately excited dc motor using the discussed scheme are presented in the paper. Also, a comparison of the methodology of this system with conventional techniques has also been elaborated on to show the effectiveness of the system.
Batch experiments were performed to evaluate the effect of sludge acclimation and contact load on the behavior of phosphorus and organic substrates under anaerobic conditions. Four different sludges were acclimated in the sequencing batch reactors operated by intermittent aeration. All the experiments performed in a bench scale have shown the following results: 1. The unreleaseable phosphorus contents for four different sludges are the range of 16 mg P/g SS to 24 mg P/g SS, depending on the sludge acclimation conditions. 2. All the specific substrate uptake rates(SSUR) are expressed in the first order equation for releaseable phosphorus contents. The reaction rate coefficient k, has the values of 4.0, 8.9, and 13.8 mg COD/mg P/hr, depending on the contact load and slut식e species. 3. As reaction proceeds, the ratios of $\delta$P to -$\delta$COD at high contact load are almost constant in the range of 0.10 to 0.14, but at low contact load, they increase from 0.08 to 0.27.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of copper supplementation on mineral utilizations in rats. Intakes, excretions, and tissue levels of Fe, Zn, Cu, Ca, Mg, Na, K were compared in rats fed diet with 100, 200, 400% of copper requirement(1Cu, 2Cu and 4Cu, respectively) for 6 weeks. The feed intake was significantly higher in 2Cu compared to 1Cu group, however, body weight gain was not significantly different among the three groups. While the serum level of Fe was significantly decreased, that of Cu was significantly elevated by Cu supplementation. The liver and kidney levels of Mg and Na, intakes of all the minerals, urinary excretions of Fe, Cu, Ca and Mg were significantly higher in 2Cu and/or 4Cu compared to 1Cu. The fecal excretions, retentions and absorptions of all the minerals were not affected by Cu supple mentation. In summary, these results suggest that dietary Cu supplementation has no effect on mineral utilizations, but effect on distribution in tissues of rats.
Operation time of a function or procedure is a thing that always needs to be optimized. Parallelizing the operation is the general method to reduce the operation time of the function. One of the most powerful parallelizing methods is using GPU. In image processing field, one of the most commonly used operations is morphology operation. Three types of morphology operations kernel, na$\ddot{i}$ve, global and shared, are presented in this paper. All kernels are made using CUDA and work parallel on GPU. Four morphology operations (erosion, dilation, opening, and closing) using square structuring element are tested on MRI images with different size to measure the speedup of the GPU implementation over CPU implementation. The results show that the speedup of dilation is similar for all kernels. However, on erosion, opening, and closing, shared kernel works faster than other kernels.
Anthracnose symptoms often occurred on fruits of Asian pear trees grown in Anseong, Naju, Seonghwan and Pyeongtaek in Korea during the harvesting period from 2000 to 2005. A total of 28 isolates of Colletotrichum sp. were obtained from the anthracnose symptoms. All the isolates were identified as Colletotrichum acutatum based on their morphological and cultural characteristics. Four isolates of the fungus were tested for pathogenicity to fruits of Asian pear tree by artificial inoculation. All the isolates induced anthracnose symptoms on the fruits by wound inoculation but not by unwound inoculation. The anthracnose symptoms induced by artificial inoculation were similar to those observed in the orchard. This is the first report of anthracnose of Asian pear tree caused by Colletotrichum acutatum.
In this paper, a new interleaved high step-up converter with low voltage stress on the switches is proposed. In the proposed converter, soft switching is provided for all switches by just one auxiliary switch, which decreases the conduction loss of auxiliary circuit. Also, the auxiliary circuit is expanded on the converter with more input branches. In the converter all main switches operate under zero voltage switching condition and auxiliary switch operate under zero current switching condition. Because of the interleaved structure, the reliability of converter increases and input current ripples decreases. The clamp capacitor in the converter not only absorb the voltage spikes across the switch due to leakage inductance, but also improve voltage gain. The proposed converter is fully analyzed and to verify the theoretical analysis, a 100 W prototype was implemented. Also, to show the effectiveness of auxiliary circuit on conduction EMI, EMI of the proposed converter comprised with hard switching counterpart.
This paper reviewed the relationship between internal marketing and incremental innovation, and the moderating effect of firm size. The results of hierarchical multiple regression analysis, based on the responses from 322 employees in small business, showed that almost internal marketing factors effects positively on incremental innovation. All internal marketing factors(CEO support, compensation system, education & training, internal communication, authority delegation) appeared to be related positively with process innovation and service innovation. And all other factors(compensation system, education & training, internal communication, authority delegation) except CEO support showed to have positive relationship with operation innovation. In the moderating effects, internal communication effects more positively on incremental innovation in large firm-size than in small firm-size. But delegation effects more positively on incremental innovation in small firm-size than in large firm-size.

We conducted this study to identifythe impact of mobile social commerce service quality on customer satisfaction and repurchaseintentions. The survey method used the self-recording way in which the respondents selected for the study and distributed 300 questionnaires, and with due personal care, researchers collected all the distributed questionnaires. The service quality in mobile social commerce has been selected as a factor of price, convenience, interaction and information through previous research. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, the mobile social commerce service quality attributes all affected significantly(p<.05) customer satisfaction and the beta value of Economic Efficiency was the highest among the service quality attributes. Second, also the customer satisfaction influenced on consumer repurchase intentions significantly(p<.05).Based on the results of this study, we should strive to establish effective marketing strategies in the mobile social commerce industry.
All-ceramic restorations have had a more limited life expectancy than metal ceramic crowns be-cause of their lower strength. The relatively lower strength has limited the use of all-ceramic crowns to the areas where occlusal loads are lower Therefore many researches have been done to increase the strength of all-ceramic crowns. IPS Empress 2 is a new type of lithium disilicate glass-ceramic with enhanced physical characteristics which has been in use clinically since 1998. Previous researches reported that the flexural strength of all-ceramic material was greater than 300 MPa, and all-ceramic crowns can be used in staining or layering technique. The objective of this study was to investigate the influence of the thickness of IPS Empress 2 ceramic on fracture strength. Both staining technique and layering technique was investigated. Vita VMK was used as control. For all three groups, five specimens each of 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.4mm, 1.8mm, and 2.2mm thick-ness (a total of 75 specimens) were prepared. Control group : Vita VMK Porcelain specimens were prepared with dentine ceramic and liquid glazing was done. Group I : IPS Empress 2 were prepared with staining technique and stained twice and glazed once. Group II : IPS Empress 2 were prepared with layering technique and glazed after wash firing. The thickness and diameter of the specimen were measured and controlled after specimen preparation. Biaxial Flexure Test (ASTM Standard F394-78) was adopted as this test method produces results least affected by the edge condition of the specimens. Fracture strength was measured with Instron Universal Testing Machine. Conclusions are as follow : 1. The fracture strength was increase in order of control group, test group I, test group II. 2. Fracture strength of the group I (Empress 2 Staining) was 65.54 N in 0.8mm, 155.2 N in 1.0mm, 233.5 N in 1.4mm, 434.5 N in 1.8mm, and 600.1 N in 2.2mm. 3. Fracture strength of the group II (Empress 2 Layering) was 190.0 N in 0.8mm, 283.5 N in 1.0mm. 437.2 N in 1.4mm, 732.0 N in 1.8mm, and 1115.0 N in 2.2mm. 4. No statistical difference was found in flexural strengths according to thickness in a specified group(p>0.05).
The effects of risering design and alloying element on the formation of defects such as external depression, primary and secondary shrinkage cavities in ductile cast iron were investigated. Two types of risering design for the cylindrically step-wise specimen, No. 1(progressive solidification) and No. 2(directional solidification) risering designs, were prepared and six different alloy compositions were casted. In the No. 1 risering design, external depression or primary shrinkage cavities due to liquid contraction were observed in all the specimens from SG 10 to SG 60. The defects caused by liquid contraction seemed to be more affected by risering design than alloying elements. The secondary shrinkage cavities were also observed in all the specimens but a swollen surface was not observed in all the castings. The primary shrinkage cavities were located right under the top surface or connected to the top surface, and were characterized by smooth surfaces. On the other hand, the secondary shrinkage cavities were positioned in the thermal center of the specimen steps 3 and 4, and characterized by rough surfaces. In the No. 2 risering design, no external depression or primary shrinkage cavities due to liquid contraction were observed in all the specimens from SG 10 to SG 60. However, the secondary shrinkage cavities were formed in the thermal center of specimens SG 40, 50 and 60. Like the No. 1 risering design, a swollen surface was not observed in all the castings.
