This study conducted a prototype development and evaluation by performing die-casting mold design, mold manufacturing, and injection condition optimization based on flow and solidification analysis to meet the needs of the coupling parts produced by die casting. Through flow analysis, the injection conditions suitable for 100% filling in the cavity were found to be a molten metal temperature of 670 ℃, injection speed of 1.164 m/s, and filling pressure of 6.324~18.77 MPa. In addition, solidification close to 100 % occurred in all four cavities when the solidification rate was 69.47 %. A defect inspection on the surface and inside the product revealed defects, such as poor molding and pores. In addition, the dimensions of the injected product were within the target tolerance and showed good results. Through the feedback of the results of flow and solidification analysis, it was possible to optimize the mold design, and the injection optimization conditions were confirmed to be a total cycle time of approximately 6.5 seconds. Good quality carrier parts with an average surface hardness of approximately 45 mm from the gate measured at 97.48(Hv) could be produced.

In this study, noise radiated from a high-speed fan-motor unit for a cordless vacuum cleaner is reduced by designing splitter blades on the existing impeller. First of all, in order to investigate the flow field through a fan-motor unit, especially impeller, the unsteady incompressible Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations are numerically solved by using computational fluid dynamic technique. With predicted flow field results as input, the Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings (FW-H) integral equation is solved to predict aerodynamic noise radiated from the impeller. The validity of the numerical methods is confirmed by comparing the predicted sound pressure spectrum with the measured one. Further analysis of the predicted flow field shows that the strong vortex is formed between the impeller blades. As the vortex induces the loss of the flow field and acts as an aerodynamic noise source, supplementary splitter blades are designed to the existing impeller to suppress the identified vortex. The length and position of splitter are selected as design factors and the effect of each design factor on aerodynamic noise is numerically analyzed by using the Taguchi method. From this results, the optimum location and length of splitter for minimum radiated noise is determined. The finally selected design shows lower noise than the existing one.

In this study, a computed tide of a real tide was introduced to improve the numerical solutions for tides and tidal flow simulations. The real tide was defined considering the nodal modulation amplitude, phase correction factor, astronomical argument, and tidal harmonic constants of all the constituents. The numerical simulation was performed using the real tide parameters for the west-south coastal waters of Korea, where the observation data for tides, tidal currents, waves, and winds over two seasons exist. The tidal flow simulation of the real tide was simulated successfully. The correlation coefficient between the observed and calculated values was 1.0, which indicated both accurate amplitude and phase. The U- and V-components of the tidal current obtained for the real tide had average valid correlations of 0.83 and 0.936, respectively. The speed error for the residual current was 0.006 m/s on the average, which indicated an insignificant difference, and the directional behavior of the residual current was very similar. In addition, the velocity error was attributed to various weather effects, such as high waves and wind storms. Therefore, this model is expected to improve current solutions provided that weathering forces, such as waves and winds, are considered.

Objectives : This study was designed to establish medical trust realization system by finding factors influential to it using questionnaire. Methods : 277 subjects were participated in this study. After a treatment, we conducted a survey from April 1st to October 31th about medical service perception index, medical trust index, patient satisfaction index, patient reliability index, patient flow degree index, recall intension index, and hospital image index. To evaluate the influence of medical service perception with other 6 indexes, we statistically made regression analysis of the results through the survey. Results : By the results of the analysis, evaluation of hospital image influenced all 6 indexes. The systemicity of treatment process had an effect on 5 indexes except for the flow degree of patients. The humanity of medical team brought out the estimation of 4 indexes except for the patient flow degree and hospital image. The empathic ability of doctor and appropriacy of medical costs hold the next rank influencing 3 indexes. It reached the conclusion that the systemicity of medical team tend to determine the medical trust and patient reliability. The expertise, professional skill of doctor, the fault, commercial application, fame of medical team, the speed of treatment process, the newest and clean medical facility affected each one index. Conclusions : Korean medicine should find a way to consider the mind of patients for improving the medical quality through trust realization system, keeping up with times. As a result of this research, we can find out important causes which influence the trustful medical system. From now on, we should apply this result to actual treatment of psychology customized system. Also, more simple and clear questionnaire was organized through this research, it can be used to forward research to apprehend patient mentality more conveniently.

Floating debris was observed using a training ship, KAYA, of Pukyong National University with cruising speed of about 10-12 knot during July 12~25, 2003. The area sampled was the East Sea enclosed by 3 nations, namely, Korea, Japan and Russia, and was divided into 68 unit segments on survey routes [Fig. 1]. Debris fabrication materials were categorized with 6 items, e.g., man-made or natural wood items, paper and cardboard, nylon rope, styrofoam, vinyl and plastic, floating metal and glass containers. All identified items within $100{\pm}10 m$ wide band were recorded but ignored if beyond this boundary. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The average numbers of debris per unit area, $1km^2$, were found as 16.3 pieces (items) in the sea. 2. The highest densities of numbers, $32.3pieces/km^2$, were discovered in vicinity of the Oki strait of Japan, area of 'NEK' in Fig. 1. 3. Especially, styrofoam item only was composed to 63.6% of all in the sea of 'SD', located in the southern part of Dokdo Island, Korea. The item seems to be derive from the Southern Sea of Korea. 4. Therefore, comparing the distribution of debris numbers (the results of above 2 and 3) with flow patterns of Kuroshio currents, it was shown that their relation was good agree each other. Further more surveys are being conducted and a much wider coverage can be achieved with other countries, then it can be obtained that the East Sea is polluted to some extent, where is the origin of debris, and the finding of floating routes and stationary sea.
PURPOSES : Lately, a traffic information market has been developed with a rapid speed owing to information and communications. In this situation, a study on the use intention and the satisfaction of mobile transportation information applications of users will be diverse implications and a strategic foundation to local governments and transportation information related enterprises that should provide satisfactory info as public goods to much more users. METHODS : Going along with the flow, this study establishes features of the mobile transportation information applications aiming to the users and analyzes empirical causality for effects of the use intension and the satisfaction. Through this study's analysis, targeting users having experienced transportation information applications among smart phone users, a survey was conducted and characteristics of the transportation information applications were lighted and the effects of the use intention and the satisfaction were analyzed using a technology acceptance model. RESULTS : The analysis result was that Accuracy, Riskiness, Ubiquity and Interactivity as all attributes of transportation information applications have a significant effect on Perceived usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use respectively. The Perceived usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use have affected significantly users' satisfaction respectively, so consequentially this shows effect relationship leading to reuse intention. CONCLUSIONS : The Perceived usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use all for the transportation information applications were shown to influence significantly on the satisfaction. With this kind of result, if users obtain positive outcomes such as travel time reduction or effective roles on their tasks through the transportation information applications, they feel the satisfaction for using and eventually these affect positively to the reuse intention of those transportation information applications.

The aim of this study was to compare the compressive strength and the surface microhardness of Beautifil flow (Shofu, Kyoto, Japan) with $Filtek^{TM}$ Z350, Z350XT (3M ESPE, USA). Fifteen specimens from each material were fabricated for testing. Compressive strength was measured by using a universal testing machine at a crosshead speed of 1 mm/min. Surface microhardness values were measured by using Vickers hardness tester under 4.9 N load and 10 seconds dwelling time. The compressive strength of Group 2 $Filtek^{TM}$ Z350XT shows the highest value as $218.7{\pm}18.4$ MPa and Group 1 $Filtek^{TM}$ Z350 was $205.5{\pm}27.1$ MPa. Group 3 Beautifil flow F00 was $176.5{\pm}30.3$ MPa, and Group 4 Beautifil flow F10 was $173.4{\pm}26.2$ MPa. The compressive strength of Group 2 is higher than Group 3 and 4 (p < 0.05). The surface microhardness of Group 2 $Filtek^{TM}$ Z350XT shows the highest value as $39.1{\pm}2.1$ and Group 4 Beautifil flow F10 was $27.9{\pm}1.8$. And Group 3 Beautifil flow F00 was $23.1{\pm}1.1$, Group 1 $Filtek^{TM}$ Z350 was $20.4{\pm}0.9$. There was a statistical significant difference in surface microhardness between all groups (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the compressive strength of giomer was below the level of flowable composite resin. However, the surface microhardness of giomer is comparable to that of flowable composite resin. Giomer would be the good alternative to composite resin, if there is improvement of the compressive strength of giomer.
This paper represents the statistical characteristics of sources and receptors for road traffic noise in apartment complex. Also we suggested that the site-specific characteristics of vertical and horizontal distributions in the complex apartment have been derived using a different analysis for evaluating levels of Leq1h by the apartment floor at a given distance from a road in terms of the flow rate, the mean speed of the traffic, and the percentage of the type vehicles in the day and night periods. As a result, the contribution orders of traffic quantity by the type of vehicles showed as followed: light vehicle>medium vehicle>heavy vehicle>motorcycle. Especially, the mixing ratio of entering the road on the heavy vehicle in the daytime was two times higher than that of in the night. The speed in all types of vehicle is in the range of 41 and 81 km/hr and noise level was not significantly different in day and night-time. The sources of road traffic noise had different variations and uncertainties using a random variable and probability distribution. The sound distribution to receptors by the apartment floor showed S curve between 1st floor and $15^{th}$ floor With the normality test, the normal distributions using Anderson-Darling Test followed $1^{st},\;3^{th},\;13^{th}$ and $15^{th}$, floor in the daytime and all floors except $7^{th}$ floor in the night (p>0.05). And also, the value of the pearson correlation coefficient (r) obtained in this study have significantly different at the range of floor. In conclusion, the results suggested that the distribution characteristics of levels of $Leq_{1h}$ on the sources and receptors of road traffic noise in apartment complex must be improved and developed on the guideline of regulation of road traffic noise.

A bond-based peridynamic model has been reported dynamic fracture characteristic of brittle materials through a simple constitutive model. In the model, each bond is assumed to be a simple spring operating independently. As a result, this simple bond interaction modeling restricts the material behavior having a fixed Poisson's ratio of 1/4 and not being capable of expressing shear deformation. We consider a state-based peridynamics as a generalized peridynamic model. Constitutive models in the state-based peridynamics are corresponding to those in continuum theory. In state-based peridynamics, thus, the response of a material particle depends collectively on deformation of all bonds connected to other particles. So, a state-based peridynamic theory can represent the volume and shear changes of the material. In this paper, the perfect plasticity is considered to express plastic deformation of material by the state-based peridynamic constitutive model with perfect plastic flow rule. The elastic-plastic behavior of the material is verified through the stress-strain curves of the flat plate example. Furthermore, we simulate the high-speed impact on 3D granite model with a nonlocal contact modeling. It is observed that the damage patterns obtained by peridynamics are similar to experimental observations.
Flowable composite resin has lower filler content, increased flow, and lower modules of elasticity. It is suggested that flowable composite resin can be bonded to the tooth structure intimately and absorb or dissipate the stress. Therefore, it may be advantageous to use flowable composite resin for the base material of class II restoration and for the class V restoraton. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the microleakage and shear bond strength of four flowable composite resins (Aeliteflo, Flow-It, Revolution, Ultraseal XT Plus) compared to Z100 using Scotchbond Multi Purpose dentin bonding system. To evaluate the microleakage, notch-shaped class V cavities were prepared on buccal and lingual surfaces of 80 extracted human premolars and molars on cementum margin. The teeth were randomly divided into non-thermocycling group (group 1) and thermocycling group (group 2) of 40 teeth each. The experimental teeth of each group were randomly divided onto five subgroups of eight samples (sixteen surfaces). The Scotchbond Multi-Purpose and composite resin were applied for each group following the manufacturer's instructions. the teeth of group 2 were thermocycled five hundred times between 5$^{\circ}C$ and 55$^{\circ}C$. The teeth of group 2 were placed in 2% methylene blue dye for 24 hours, then rinsed with tab water. The specimens were embedded in clear resin, and sectioned longitudinally with a diamond saw. The dye penetration on each of the specimen were observed with a stereomicioscope at $\times$20 magnification. To evaluate the shear bond strength, 60 teeth were divided into five groups of twelve teeth each. The experimental teeth were ground horizontally below the dentinoenamel junction, so that no enamel remained. After applying Scotchbond Multi-Purpose on the dentin surface, composite resin was applied in the shape of cylinder. The cylinder was 4mm in diameter and 2mm in thickness. Shear bond strength was measured using Instron with a cross-head speed of 0.5mm/min. After shear bond strength measurement, mode of failure was evaluated with a stereomicroscope at $\times$30 magnification. All data were statistically analyzed by One Way ANOVA and Student-Newman-Keuls method. The correlation between microleakage and shear bond strength was analyzed by linear regression. The results of this study were as follows ; 1. In non-thermocycling group, the leakage value of Z100 was significantly lower than those of flowable composite resins at the enamel and dentin margin, margin, except that Revolution showed the lower leakage value than that of Z100 at the dentin margin (p<0.05). 2. In thermocycling group, the leakage values of Z100 and Ultraseal XT Plus were lower than those of other subgroup at the enamel and dentin margin, except that Flow-It showed the lower leakage value than that of Ultraseal XT Plus at the dentin margin (p<0.05). 3. The leakage value of Z100 and Ultraseal XT Plus in thermocycling group were not higher than that in non-thermocycling group at the enamel margin. The leakage value of Z100 in thermocycling group was not higher than that in non-thermocycling group at the dentin margin (p<0.05). 4. As for the shear bond strength measurement, there were no statistically significant differences among groups (p<0.05). The shear bond strengths given in descending order were as follows: Z100(16.81$\pm$2.98 MPa), Flow-It(14.8$\pm$4.43 MPa), Aeliteflo(14.34$\pm$3.69 MPa), Revolution(13.46$\pm$4.23 MPa), Ultraseal XT Plus(12.83$\pm$3.16 MPa). 5. Failure modes of all specimens were adhesive failures. 6. There was no correlation between microleakage and shear bond strength.
