  • Let X be a linear space and Y be a complete quasi p-norm space. We will show that for each function f : X $\rightarrow$ Y, which satisfies the inequality ${\parallel}{\Delta}_x^nf(y)\;-\;n!f(x){\parallel}\;{\leq}\;\varphi(x,y)$ for suitable control function $\varphi$, there is a unique monomial function M of degree n which is a good approximation for f in such a way that the continuity of $t\;{\mapsto}\;f(tx)$ and $t\;{\mapsto}\;\varphi(tx,\;ty)$ imply the continuity of $t\;{\mapsto}\;M(tx)$.

  • We propose the robust nonlinear controller design methodology, the $H_{\infty}$ constrained quasi - linear quadratic Gaussian control (QLQG/ $H_{\infty}$), for the statistically-linearized multivariable system with hard nonlinearties such as Coulomb friction, deadzone, etc. The $H_{\infty}$ performance constraint is involved in the optimization process by replacing the covariance Lyapunov equation with the Riccati equation whose solution leads to an upper bound of the QLQG performance. Because of the system's nonlinearity, however, one equation among three Riccati equations contain the nonlinear correction terms that are very difficult to solve numerically. To treat this problem, we use simple algebraic techniques. With some analytic transformation for Riccati equations, the nonlinear correction terms can be so eliminated that the set of a linear controller to the different operating points are designed. Synthesizing these via inverse random input describing function (IRIDF) technique, the final nonlinear controller can be designed.

  • This paper provides some properties of positive real systems in time domain. It is well-known that a positive real system and a bounded real system are closely related by bilinear transform in a frequency domain. By using supply rate and storage function, we show that a positive real system can be transformed into a bounded real system, and that a positive real system can be transformed into another positive real system with in a time domain. Also, we show that an ESPR(extended strictly positive real) system can be decomposed into a feedback system of lossless positive real system and another ESPR system. These results may be used to design an output feedback controller for mixed H$H_2$ESPR problem.

  • This paper presents a method of hierarchical state estimation of the time-varying linear systems via Block-pulse function(BPF). When we estimate the state of the systems where noise is considered, it is very difficult to obtain the solutions because minimum error variance matrix having a form of matrix nonlinear differential equations is included in the filter gain calculation. Therefore, hierarchical approach is adapted to transpose matrix nonlinear differential equations to a sum of low order state space equation from and Block-pulse functions are used for solving each low order state space equation in the form of simple and recursive algebraic equation. We believe that presented methods are very attractive nd proper for state estimation of time-varying linear systems on account of its simplicity and computational convenience. • In this paper Legendre wavelets are used to approximate the solutions of linear time-invariant system. The Legendre wavelet and its integral operational matrix are presented and an efficient algorithm to solve the Sylvester matrix equation is proposed. The algorithm is based on the decomposition of the Sylvester matrix equation and the preorder traversal algorithm. Using the special structure of the Legendre wavelet's integral operational matrix, the full order Sylvester matrix equation can be solved in terms of the solutions of pure algebraic matrix equations, which reduce the computation time remarkably. Finally a numerical example is illustrated to demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm.

  • The purpose of this project is the derivation and development of techniques for the new estimation of robustness for the systems having uncertainties. The basic ideas to analyze the system which is the originally nonlinear is Lyapunov direct theorems. The nonlinear systems have various forms of terms inside the system equations and this investigation is confined in the form of bounded uncertainties. Bounded means the uncertainties are with same positive/negative range. The number of uncertainties will be the degree of freedoms in the calculation of the stability region. This is so called the robustness bounds. This proposition adopts the theoretical analysis of the Lyapunov direct methods, that is, the sign properties of the Lyapunov function derivative integrated along finite intervals of time, in place of the original method of the sign properties of the time derivative of the Lyapunov function itself. This is the new sufficient criteria to relax the stability condition and is used to generate techniques for the robust design of control systems with structured perturbations. Using this relaxing stability conditions, the selection of Lyapunov candidate function is of various forms. In this paper, the quadratic form is selected. this generated techniques has been demonstrated by recent research interest in the area of robust control design and confirms that estimation of robustness bounds will be improved upon those obtained by results of the original Lyapunov method. In this paper, the symbolic algebraic procedures are utilized and the calculating errors are reduced in the numerical procedures. The application of numerical procedures can prove the improvements in estimations of robustness for one-and more structured perturbations. The applicable systems is assumed to be linear with time-varying with nonlinear bounded perturbations. This new techniques will be extended to other nonlinear systems with various forms of uncertainties, especially in the nonlinear case of the unstructured perturbations and also with various control method.

  • A new model which contains the dynamics of the motor system and the kinematics of the timing belt system is derived for an inverted pendulum system in FAPA Lab. Generalized standard compensator configuration(SCC) which contains the variable design parameters Kl, K2, .., K5 is proposed so that any desired design specification can be achieved. The robust controller which has robust property against the influence of sensor noise, system parameter variation and model uncertainty is designed minimizing the H$_{\infty}$-norm of transfer function from exogenous input to controlled output. The method of solving the two Riccati equations in state space and determining the controller uses on iteration method where the unique stabilizing solution to two algebraic Riccati equation must be positive definite and the spectral radius of their product less than .gamma.$^{2}$. Some cases are derived by varying the design parameter for simulation on a digital computer and experimenting the H$_{\infty}$- controller on an analog computer. The design parameters of controller which satisfies the desired control specification is selected on the basis of the simulation result and experimenting. The reasonableness and validity of the simulation and the robustness of the controller is established.d.

  • This study solves the inverse kinematics problem of industrial FANUC robot. Because every joint angle of FANUC robot is dependent on the position of end-effector and the direction of approach vector, arm metrix T6 is very complicated and each joint angle is a function of other joint angles. Therefore, the inverse kinematics problem can not be solved by conventional methods. Noticing the fact that if one joint angle is known, the other joint angles are calculated by the algebraic methods. $ heta$1 is calculated using neumerical analysis method, and solves inverse kinematics problem. This proposed method, in this study, is more simpler and faster than conventional methods and is very useful in the real-time control of the manipulator.

  • In order to stabilize linear time-invariant systems with the unknown system matrix, a piecewise constant linear state feedback control law including switching logic is developed. A number of feedback gain matrices are first precomputed by solving the Algebraic Riccati Equation with prescribed degree of stability, and then are switched over in a direction to increase degree of stability. Switching stops when a Lyapunov function shows the decreasing property, and hence switching times are finite.

  • In this paper we demonstrate a cryptanalysis of the stream cipher LILI-128. Our approach to analysis on LILI-128 is to solve an overdefined system of multivariate equations. The LILI-128 keystream generato $r^{[8]}$ is a LFSR-based synchronous stream cipher with 128 bit key. This cipher consists of two parts, “CLOCK CONTROL”, pan and “DATA GENERATION”, part. We focus on the “DATA GENERATION”part. This part uses the function $f_d$. that satisfies the third order of correlation immunity, high nonlinearity and balancedness. But, this function does not have highly nonlinear order(i.e. high degree in its algebraic normal form). We use this property of the function $f_d$. We reduced the problem of recovering the secret key of LILI-128 to the problem of solving a largely overdefined system of multivariate equations of degree K=6. In our best version of the XL-based cryptanalysis we have the parameter D=7. Our fastest cryptanalysis of LILI-128 requires $2^{110.7}$ CPU clocks. This complexity can be achieved using only $2^{26.3}$ keystream bits.
