The common characteristics of those treatment programs are; 1 preparation for post-treatment from the beginning of the treatment (hospitalization) 2. assessment of relapse related factors 3. assessment of the relapse-warning signs 4. development and plan of individualized intervention strategy 5. practice of the plan The common characteristics of those treatment programs are 1. groups are classified the recovery training groups and the self-help groups 2 all kind of treatment programs carried out as groups rather than individuals. 3. usefulness which apply to various settings and various types 4. multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach As results, those programs were developed as post-detoxication management program, follow up program, and continued care program and their theoretical framework was from social learning theory. Those programs used the principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy for the classes, groups, and social skill training. These finding can be used for developing culturally appropriate alcoholism treatment programs focused on relapse prevention.
This review focused on the pharmacological treatment of alcoholism, especially alcoholism-related mental disorder. The pharmacological agent for alcoholism can be divided into the following categories : anticraving agent, aversive agent, agent to treat acute alcohol withdrawal, agent to diminish drinking by treating associated psychiatric pathology, agent to induce sobriety in intoxicated individuals. Following trends are included in new trends of pharmacological treatment of alcoholism. What are precise conditions amenable to pharmacological intervention? ; How can psychosocial and behavioral intervention be integrated with pharmacotherapy to enhance treatment outcome? ; Is the concept of "matching" specific pharmacotherapy treatment to different aspect of alcoholism more efficacious than a more generalized medicational approach to treatment? One of the most important factors for alcoholics treatment is good and proper therapeutic relationship with patients and setting up individually specialized treatment program is also important.

Purpose: This study investigated the factors influencing the risk of relapse in community-dwelling adults with alcohol use disorder. Methods: This study included 122 community-dwelling individuals with alcohol use disorder who were receiving outpatient treatment at a mental health treatment hospital or were enrolled in a treatment program at the Community Addition Management Center in Gyeonggi Province. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires from July to August 2020. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 25.0. Results: Abstinence self-efficacy (𝛽=-.56, p<.001), social support (𝛽=-.35, p=.009), female sex (𝛽=11.29, p=.015), and a family history of alcoholism (𝛽=9.41, p=.026) were significant predictors of relapse risk, accounting for 56% of the variance (F=12.68, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that abstinence self-efficacy and social support are pivotal in reducing risk of relapse in individuals with alcohol use disorder. Therefore, relevant and effective interventions focusing on enhancing abstinence self-efficacy and social support are required.

While the threat from traditional communicable diseases have been decreasing non communicable chronic diseases are increasing due to the aging of population and change in life pattern of the people such as over intake of cholesterol and lack of physical exercise etc. On the other hand, since 1980s, AIDS is spreading rapidly throughout the globe and environmental pollution, accidents, addictive diseases such as drug abuse and alcoholism are becoming serious factors to hinder the health promotion of the people. In order to improve general public health and promote individual health status, existing program for communicable disease control by the government such as tuberculosis, leprosy, STD and acute communicable diseases should be effectively continued. In principle, effort should be placed on eradication of source of infection, reduction of communicability of source in infection, treatment of source of infection as well as increase of individual registance to the diseases through immunization and improvement of physical status. Since the pattern of illness is being shifted from communicable diseases to non communicable chronic diseases such as cancer, cerebral hemorrhage, heart disease and hypertention etc., special emphasis should be placed on the prevention and control of those adult diseases. Early detection of the patients, registration and treatment of patients and health education should be systematically developed for effective control of the diseases. In addition, program activities on MCH, nutrition, dentistry, mental health, environmental health, accident prevention. medical delivery system, health insurance. and all other health issues should be improved in order to achieve our goal of health promotion.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the subjective relapse experiences of patients with alcohol use disorder in one's life context. Methods: A Q methodology was used to analyze the subjectivity of relapse experiences among 55 participants with alcohol use disorder. Fifty-five Q-statement were derived from interviews and literature review. Q-statements were classified into normally distributed shapes using a 9-point scale. Data were analyzed using the QUANL program. Results: Four types of relapse experiences were identified: failure to self-regulation drinking cravings, fear of relapse and awareness of the need for treatment, drinking as a coping mechanism and defensive coping, and lack of motivation to change drinking behavior. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that patients with alcohol use disorder need a differential approach based on four types of relapse experiences in the recovery process.

In the final stage 3, the study will examine the feasibility of implementing the scenario contents in the virtual reality program. Through this process, the intervention program development model that can lead the positive change of the multicultural youth was presented.
Purpose: This study was done to identify the influence of severity of drinking problem, circadian rhythm and sleep quality in patients with alcohol use. Methods: A descriptive study design was utilized. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires from 139 patients with alcohol use disorder who were admitted to a psychiatric hospital in D city, Korea. The questionnaires included Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT), Composite Scale of Morningness (CMS), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and Korea sleep scale A. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regressions using the SPSS 20.0 program. Results: There was significant correlations among severity of problem drinking, circadian rhythm, sleep quality and sleep disorder. The significant factors influencing sleep disorder were severity of problem drinking(${\beta}=.12$, p= .042), circadian rhythm(${\beta}=-.14$, p= .039) and sleep quality(${\beta}=.63$, p= < .001). This model explained 56% of variance in sleep disorder(F = 57.34, p= < .001). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that the development of sleep intervention programs for alcohol use disorder patients needs to consider severity of alcohol use, circadian rhythm and sleep quality, and sleep assessment and intervention are needed the early stage of the treatment and recovery process.
A study aims to assess Korean mental health literacy and analyze the characteristics of vulnerable population. This study presented typical vignettes of schizophrenia, depression and alcoholism to 1,197 adults randomly. All respondents were asked for recognition of mental illness, beliefs about causes, professional help and self-help, stigma for receiving psychiatric treatment for the person described. The results showed that the recognition of mental health problem in a vignette was very poor and that personal causes were seen by public as more important than environmental and bio-genetic causes. When the public were asked about various professional therapies and self-help activities, psychotherapy was favored while other professional help were considered to be less helpful than self-help activities. Among professionals, psychiatrist were viewed as most helpful. We used cluster analysis to compare high mental health literacy group with low mental health literacy group(vulnerable population). Vulnerable population were found to be more aged and to live in county area. We proposed government initiated program for enhancing public mental health literacy.
