유전체의 공간전하분극과 전기전도에 관한 연구 (A study on the space charge polarization and electrical conduction in the dielectrics)

  • In this paper we examined, by using the PET film with thickness of 16-350$\mu\textrm{m}$, space charge focused on TSC peak at the slightly higher temperature than transition temperture of the glass. In the result we found that charge quantity, leaking current and absorbing current at TSC peak were rarely dependant its thickness at the Al foil contact electrde. In the case of Al evaporated electrode, the absorbing current was rarely dependent its thickness but TSC charge quantity at C-peak was increased directly proportional to its thickness and leaking current was decayed inversely proportional to its thickness. Also current-volteag characteristics showed sublinerar property under ohmic area at the Al evaporated electrode.

  • 알루미늄 박편 위에 Pt/$Al_2O_3$ 모델 촉매를 만들었다. 알루미늄 표면을 $10 ^5Torr$의 산소 압력 하에서 산화시킨후 plasma evaporation source를 사용하여 Pt을 증착시켰다. 이 모델 촉매 표면에서 일 어나는 1-butene 의 반응을 연구하였다. 산화알루미늄 표면에서는 이성질화 반응이 일어 났으나 Pt을 증착시킨 산화알루미늄 표면에서는 수소첨가반응이 일어남이 관찰되었다. 알루미나 표면의 Pt이 증가함 에 따라 수소첨가반응으로서 선택성이 증가되었다.

  • Al과 Ni이 나노 두께로 적층되어 있는 나노 포일은 외부의 촉발에 의해 원자수준의 상호 확산을 통해 합금화 된다. AlNi 합금이 되서 $-{\Delta}H$의 변화로 인하여, 외부에 열을 공급하게 되어 최대 엔탈피의 변화 일어날 수 있는 Al과 Ni의 혼합비율을 조사하였다. 나노 포일의 제조 공정은 마그네트론 스퍼터링을 이용하였으며, 나노 박막의 두께 및 적층 공정에 대한 공정 최적화를 하였다. 제조된 나노 포일은 금속-세라믹의 상온접합을 실시하여 산업적 응용에 대한 가능성을 고찰하고자 하였다.

Ni계 합금으로 브레이징된 Fe-Cr-Al 합금 접합부의 주기산화거동 (Cyclic Oxidation Behavior of Fe-Cr-Al Joint Brazed with Nickel-Base Filler Metal)

  • Brazing of Fe-Cr-Al alloy was carried out at $1200^{\circ}C$ in vacuum furnace using nickel-based filler metals : BNi-5 powder(Ni-Cr-Si-Fe base alloy} and MBF-50 foil (Ni-Cr-Si-B). The effect of boron content on the stability of oxide scale on the brazed joint was investigated by means of cyclic oxidation test performed at $1050^{\circ}C$ and $1200^{\circ}C$. Apparently, the joints brazed with MBF-50 containing boron showed relatively stable oxidation rates compared to boron-free BNi-5 at both temperatures. However, it was considered that the slower weight loss of MBF-50 brazed specimen wasn’t resulted from the low oxidation rate but from the spallation of oxide layer. The oxide layer consisted of thick spinel oxide on the surface and $Al_2 O_3$ internal oxide layer along the interface between mother alloy and braze, the mother alloy was also eroded seriously by the formation of spinel oxides such as $FeCr_2 O_4$ and $NiCr_2 O_4$ on the surface, likely to be induced by the change of oxide forming mechanism due to diffusion of boron from the braze. On the contrary, the joint brazed with BNi-5 showed the good oxidation resistance during the cyclic oxidation test. It seems that the oxidation can be retarded by the formation of stable $Al_2 O_3$ layer at the surface.

전해 콘텐사용 알루미늄박의 애칭특성에 미치는 황산첨가의 영향 II. 유전층의 조직 및 임피던스 분석 (Effects of Addition of Sulfuric Acid on the Etching Behavior of Al foil for Electrolytic Capacitors II. Microstructures of Dielectric Layers and AC Impedance Analysis)

  • 전해콘텐서용 알루미늄박을 ammonium adipate 용액을 이용하여 $65^{\circ}C$에서 10분간 100V 및 140V로 각각 양극 산화시켜 산화 알루미늄 유전체를 만들었다. 유전층의 두께, 화학양론적 관계, 결정구조 등을 RBS 및 TEM을 이용하여 분석하였고, 알루미늄박의 에칭시 황산 첨가로 인한 표면적의 변화는 임피던스 분석법으로 조사 하였다. 생성된 유전피막은 100V 및 140V의 전압을 사용했을 경우 각각 약 130nm 및 190nm 두께의 비정질로 나타났으며 피막의 알루미늄과 산소원소의 화학양자론적 비는 약 2:3의 비율로 존재했다. 또한 유전피막은 전자빔은 조사에 의해 쉽게 $${\gamma}$-Al_2$$O_3$ 형태의 결정질로 변태 되었다. 염산 에칭욕에 황산 첨가시 나타나는 알루미늄박의 표면변화는 임피던스 분석결과와 정전 용략의 변화가 일치하는 경향을 나타냈다.

  • Fracture surfaces of materials contain useful information ranging from crack path to the mechanism of fracture. Since limitation of electron transparency requires a sample in the form of thin foil for TEM observations, it is impossible to extract such information directly from the fracture surfaces. In this study, the method of surface replication from the ceramic fracture surface is employed to characterize the process of crack propagation in ceramic matrix composites using TEM analysis. The surface replica from the fracture surface in ceramic materials provides detailed surface morphology and more importantly, loosened particles on the fracture surface are collected. Electron diffraction and chemical composition analyses of these particles reveal crack path in the specimen. Furthermore, one can determine the mode of fracture by observing the fracture surface morphology from the image of replica. Two examples are given to illustrate the potential of the surface replication technique. In the first example, apparent toughness increase in $B_{4}C-Al$ composites at high strain rate is investigated by surface replication to elucidate the mechanism of fracture at different strain rates. The polytypes of SiC formed during the sintering of SiC-AlN composite and their effect on the fracture behavior of SiC-AlN composite are analyzed in the second example.

Ni/Ni3Al 단결정의 냉간압연 거동에 미치는 결정방위 및 석출물의 영향 (Effects of Crystallographic Orientation and Precipitates on Cold Rolling Behavior of Ni/Ni3Al Single Crystal)

  • In this study, thin foil fabrication using Ni/Ni3Al single crystal was performed by cold-rolling. It was found that the cold-rolling behavior was strongly dependent on the initial crystallographic orientation rather than morphology of Ni3Al precipitates. The deformation banding was formed in the case of (100)[001]- and (210)[001]-oriented specimens at 83% reduction in thickness. However, the effects of Ni3Al precipitates morphology on the microstructure evolution of Ni/Ni3Al single crystals during cold-rolling were not so serious comparing with the effects of initial crystallographic orientation. Therefore, it could be concluded that the deformation behavior of Ni/Ni3Al single crystals at serious strain level was strongly dependent on the initial crystallographic orientation rather than the morphology of Ni3Al precipitates, whereas the initial deformation behavior was related to both crystallographic orientation and the morphology of Ni3Al precipitates.

수소 감지 성능 향상을 위한 Pd/TiO2 분말에서의 Al 도핑 효과 (Al Doping Effect of Pd/TiO2 for Improved Hydrogen Detection)

  • $TiO_2$ oxide semiconductor is being widely studied in various applications such as photocatalyst and photosensor. Pd/$TiO_2$ gas sensor is mainly used to detect $H_2$, CO and ethanol. This study focus on increasing hydrogen detection ability of Pd/$TiO_2$ in room temperature through Al-doping. Pd/$TiO_2$ was fabricated by the hydrothermal method. Contacting to Aluminum (Al) foil led to Al doping effect in Pd/$TiO_2$ by thermal diffusion and enhanced hydrogen sensing response. $TiO_2$ nanoparticles were sized at ~30 nm of diameter from scanning electron microscope (SEM) and maintained anatase crystal structure after Al doping from X-ray diffraction analysis. Presence of Al in $TiO_2$ was confirmed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy at 73 eV. SEM-energy dispersive spectroscopy measurement also confirmed 2 wt% Al in Pd/$TiO_2$ bulk. The gas sensing test was performed with $O_2$, $N_2$ and $H_2$ gas ambient. Pd/Al-doped $TiO_2$ did not response $O_2$ and $N_2$ gas in vacuum except $H_2$. Finally, the normalized resistance ratio ($R_{H2on}/R_{H2off}$) of Pd/Al-doped $TiO_2$ increases about 80% compared to Pd/$TiO_2$.

에어핸들링 유닛의 공기정화용 전기집진기의 방전극 비교 (Comparison of discharging electrodes for the electrostatic precipitator as an air filtration system in air handling units)

  • Indoor air quality is of increasing concern because it is closely related human health. An air handling unit (AHU) can be used to control the indoor air quality related to particulate matters and $CO_2$ as well as air conditioning such as temperature and humidity of indoor air. An electrostatic precipitator has a high collection efficiency and low pressure drop, however, ozone can possibly generate from its chargers, which is one of drawbacks to apply it for indoor air control. Here we compared four charging electrodes such as a $50{\mu}m$ tungsten wire, a $100{\mu}m$ tungsten wire, a $16{\mu}m$-thickness Al foil and a carbon fabric comprised of $5-10{\mu}m$ fibers. The carbon fabric electrode showed a superior particle collection efficiency and a lower ozone generation at a given power consumption compared to tungsten wires of 50, $100{\mu}m$ and an Al foil electrode. This low ozone generating, micro-sized electrode can be applied to the electrostatic precipitator in AHU for indoor air control.

Al 양극산화에 의한 나노선재용 AAO template제조 (Anodizing of pure Al foil for AAO as a Nanowire Template)

  • 황산 전해질에서 고순도의 알루미늄 판재를 양극산화 시켜 이방성이 큰 나노기공을 보유한 AAO를 제조하였다. 나노선재를 제조하기 위한 template재료로서 가장 적합한 AAO를 제조하기 위해 AAO의 나노기공의 크기와 분포 등에 영향을 미치는 양극산화 변수의 영향을 조사하였다. 제조된 AAO의 SEM관찰을 통해 나노기공의 직경과 분포를 확인할 수 있었고, AAO를 template로 사용하여 교류 전주법으로 제조한 Fe 나노선재를 TEM 관찰하여 나노기공의 길이와 내부 표면상태를 확인하였다. AAO를 SEM으로 확인한 결과 전해질의 온도나 양극산화 전압 등의 변수에 따라 기공의 크기와 분포의 변화가 분명하게 관찰되었으며, 제조된 나노선재는 평균 길이 $10{\mu}m,\;300\~1000$범위의 종횡비를 갖고 있음이 TEM으로 확인되었다.
