항공사 브랜드 진정성이 소비자 태도에 미치는 영향 : LCC와 FSC의 차이를 중심으로 (The Effect of Airline Brand Authenticity: Focus on the Difference of LCC from FSC)

  • Purpose - Nowadays the competition between companies has been intensified in the aviation industry. It is hard to maintain successful market share in challenging managerial environment. Not long ago, a Korean major aviation company had faced social condemnation cause of managerial staff's immoral behaviors. That company suffers great losses in company brand value in terms of authenticity as an aviation company. This research tried to show the effect of brand authenticity in the aviation industry. First of all, this research tried to define the dimensions of the brand authenticities based on the former researches. This research suggested the airline brand authenticities as three kinds of dimensions. The dimensions of authenticities consist of performance aspects, symbolic aspects and moral aspects. And this research also tried to show the relationships between brand authenticities and consumers attitudes. Research design, data and methodology - The empirical research design is based on the experiments with six types of advertisement prototypes. The advertisement prototypes were based on three types of authenticities' characteristics. The prototypes were made of core statements about each authenticity. And the advertisement prototypes also were based on the aviation company types. The types of aviation companies could be divided into FSC(full service carrier)and LCC(low cost carrier). So the whole experiments were performed with six kinds of advertisement prototypes(3 brand authenticities X 2 aviation company types). The age of participants were from 20s to 40s. The proportion of participants' demographics are as follow. Age proportion is 50% of 20s and 50% of 30s and 40s. Gender proportion is 46% males and 54% females. The experiments performed through mobile devices. Advertisement prototypes were exposed to the participants through their mobile devices, and they answered the questionnaires. All the process of experiments were performed by a professional research firm to maintain the quality of data. Results - This research suggested some important outcomes as follow. First, brand authenticity had an important role to make a positive consumer attitude on the aviation company. All the three types advertisement of authenticities had a positive impact on the consumer attitude for the aviation company. Second, the three types of brand authenticities in the performance aspects, symbolic aspects, and moral aspects had a major impact on the consumers attitudes. The performance authenticity had the biggest effect on the consumer attitudes. Third, the types of aviation companies like FSC and LCC had a different correlation with types of authenticities. All the types of authenticities affected on the consumers attitudes in the FSC case. The symbolic authenticity had the biggest effect in the FSC case. But the performance authenticity showed the most striking effect in the LCC case. Conclusion - From this research, we can get a conclusion. The brand authenticity of aviation company should be managed carefully to maintain a positive brand image and consumers attitudes. And airline brand authenticities can be consist of three type dimensions. All the types of authenticities affects on the consumers attitudes positively. The symbolic authenticity affects more in the FSC case, and the performance authenticity influences more in the LCC case.

조직문화와 정서노동과의 관계: 사회적 지지의 매개효과 (The Relationship between Organizational Culture and Emotional Labor: The Mediating Effect of Social Support)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between organizational culture(constructive and defensive culture) and emotional labor along with the social supports (supervisor support, colleague support). Using data obtained from a survey of 419 flight attendants of a major airline company in south Korea. The results are as follows: Organizational culture had a significant effect on emotional labor. At this point, colleague support mediated the relationship between constructive culture and emotional labor. In addition, supervisor support and colleague support had a mediating role between defensive culture and emotional labor. This result concludes that flight attendants positively accept the essential manuals and safety regulations in the special working condition with a unified team service. Furthermore, the results show that social supports are an important job resource for flight attendants helping them reach their work-related goals.

대학생의 학과만족도가 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향과 다양성수용도의 매개효과 (The impact of university students' major satisfaction on career preparation behavior and mediating effect of openness to diversity)

  • 이 연구는 대학생들을 대상으로 학과만족도, 다양성수용도, 진로준비행동 간의 영향관계를 파악하고, 학과만족도와 진로준비행동 간의 관계에서 다양성수용도의 매개효과를 확인하여 대학생 대상의 진로교육에 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 충북소재 4년제 대학의 항공계열과 보건계열 학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하였고 182부의 설문응답을 최종표본으로, SPSS 23.0, AMOS 23.0 소프트웨어를 사용하여 통계분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 학과만족도는 다양성수용도와 진로준비행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 다양성수용도 역시 진로준비행동에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 다양성수용도는 학과만족도와 진로준비행동의 영향관계에서 부분매개역할을 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 대학생들이 효과적인 진로준비를 하도록 하기위해서는 학생들의 학과만족도 증진과 함께 다양성수용도를 높일 수 있는 교육과정 및 프로그램의 개설이 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있다.

  • Purpose: As communicable disease, COVID-19, pandemic strikes over the world, it is critically bewared that air travel possibly be a major pass way to deliver the infectious disease virus. Especially the airplane could be an unique environment to cultivate the virus spreaders. In order to keep the continuous safe airway as well as the industry, related international associations and organizations have been published the guidelines for the prevention and control the infectious disease through the all aspects of aviation. By reviewing the guidelines, focusing on the in-flight infection prevention and control, this study would not only inform a summary of the international guidelines but also provide an essential and general consideration for related research or guideline study. Methods: Guidelines of 5 major countries are reviewed, which has been seriously influenced by COVID-19 : U.S., Canada, E.U., Australia and China. The items of the guidelines are re-categorized as its similarity and structure by applicable cases. Results: The result of this study shows that each guideline seems to share a major structure and issue such as identifying sick traveler, sick passenger care, and cleaning even though that of China has a different since it used to consider the flight conditions based on 3 levels of infection risk. For sick passenger care, the guidelines includes crew safety, service level, sick passenger isolation, and cleaning. Implications: A published guideline as a public manual could be to prevent and control the in-flight infection efficiently and promptly. It also could provide a confidence of knowledge and educate for all users to prepare the in-flight emergency as well.

병원근로자의 근골격계질환에 대한 인간공학적 위험도 및 사회심리적 요인의 영향에 대한 연구 -경로분석 모델을 중심으로- (A comprehensive model for musculoskeletal disorders of hospital workers based on ergonomic risk and psychosocial factors)

  • The psychosocial stress and musculoskeletal disorders(MSDs) have been one of major health problems for hospital workers. This study tried to understand the relationship between symptoms associated with MSDs and risk factors such as working posture, job stress, psychosocial stress and fatigue. A total number of 655 hospital workers participated in this study. Specifically, REBA was applied for evaluating working posture and a checklist prepared by KOSHA(Korean Occupational Safety and Health Agency) was used for symptom survey. A questionnaire from KOSHA was also used for collecting data associated with job stress, psychosocial stress and fatigue. All these data were formulated and modeled by path analysis which was one of major statistical tools in this study. Specifically, path analysis for the data we collected came up with several major findings. The risk scores from working posture based on REBA had indirect effects via fatigue factor(MFS) as well as direct effects on symptoms. The factors associated with job stress (KOSS) and psychosocial stress(PWI-SF) had significant effects on symptoms. Specifically, indirect effect of job stress factors via fatigue factors(MFS) had bigger than that of direct effect of job stress on symptom.

인천국제공항에서 환승하는 중국인.일본인의 환승만족도에 대한 차이분석 (A Comparative Study of Satisfaction of Chinese and Japanese Transit Passengers at Incheon International Airport)

  • This paper tried to find out what the main factors are to impact on satisfaction level of transit passengers at Incheon airport. Incheon airport has made lots of transit facilities and services to attract transit passengers from neighboring airports to increase transit rate as high as advanced foreign airports such as Heathrow, Schiphol and Hong Kong. A survey was performed on 450 transit passengers resting at airport transit lounge in airside area. According to the result, it was found out to be significant factors affecting satisfaction of transit that convenience of security screening, price of duty-free product, a direction board & signage and terminal orientation among Chinese transit passengers. On the other hands, it seemed that Japanese transit passengers thought diversity of airline routes, convenient transfer flight schedule, total transit time and terminal orientation are major variables affecting their satisfaction. Considering the effect of demographic factors, Chinese passenger's satisfaction was more affected by age, travel purpose, the number of travel per year and flight destinations. However, Japanese transit passenger's satisfaction was only affected by the flight destinations, especially willing to travel to North America and Europe.

미용업 종사자의 사고재해 경험 및 사용제품의 안전 인식도에 관한 연구 (Study on Experience of Industrial Accidents and Awareness Level for Beauty Product Safety of Beauty Industry Employee)

  • This study compared data regarding industrial accidents and awareness level for beauty product safety for four main parts of beauty industry such as hair-care, nail-care, skin-care, and make-up. Major risk factors in beauty industry are dust, musculoskeletal disorders, and organic solvent of beauty product in order of percentage. The specific types of industrial accidents in beauty industry are mainly associated with musculoskeletal system such as cuts, sprain, and varicose vein. They are mainly compensated by personal budget. The awareness levels of chemical and heavy metal containment for beauty product by beauty industry employee were 77.2% and 59.1% respectively. Most employee confirmed only important items of labelling requirement of beauty product. Also, most employee did not understand MSDS(Materila Safety Data) for chemicals used in beauty industry. Only 38.1% of beauty industry employee has had safety education while most employee (73.6%) realized that they needed safety education. Also, safety education supervised by KOSHA(Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency) was the most preferred. This study would be good basis for safe and healthy working environment of beauty industry employee.

미국 연방법규상 항공여객보호제도에 관한 연구 (U.S. Rules on Enhancing Airline Passenger Protections)

  • 지난 2010년 제정되어 2011년 8월과 10월에 개정된 미국 교통부의 행정입법 '항공 여객의 보호증진에 관한 법규(Enhancing Airline Passenger Protections, EAPP)'는 항공 소비자의 보호를 위한 연방정부의 입법으로 우리에게 시사하는 바가 크다. 특히 오늘날 장시간 활주로 지연과 관련한 항공사의 의무사항, 항공사의 고객 서비스강화, 항공권 광고와 판매 시에 발생하는 문제점 인식 등을 감안할 때 항공업계의 현 시류를 잘 반영하고 있다. 먼저, 장시간 활주로 지연과 관련하여 국내선 3시간, 국제선 4시간을 초과하는 활주로 대기 금지, 활주로에서 2시간 이상 대기 시 승객에게 물과 음식 제공, 화장실과 의료서비스 상시 제공, 지연발생 최초 30분과 이후 매 30분 간격으로 진전사항 공지 및 항공기 출입문이 열려있을 때 승객의 하기 가능성 안내 등이 규정되어 있다. 그 밖에도 고객서비스에 관한 절차와 계획의 수립을 비롯하여 그러한 계획을 활주로 지연에 관한 비상계획절차, 운송약관 등과 함께 항공사의 인터넷 웹사이트에 공시할 의무도 부과 하였다. 또한 고객 불만사항 처리를 위해 각 항공사는 모니터링 전담자를 배치하여야 하고, 고객 불만사항 처리시한도 법으로 마련되었다. 그리고 최근 이용자가 많은 SNS를 통한 고객 불만사항 처리에 관한 규정도 도입되었다. 또한 항공권 초과판매로 인한 비자발적 탑승거부 상황에 대한 규정도 마련하였다. 즉, 자발적 탑승 유예자 모집 시에 지급 대가를 명확히 제시하고, 비자발적 탑승거부승객에 대한 배상기준도 마련하였다. 또한, 항공권 판매광고 시에 총액운임 표시제도를 도입하였다. 이에 따르면 항공권 광고에서 항공운임은 실제 소비자가 구매할 때 지급하여야 하는 총액운임을 표시하여야 하며, 항공권 구매를 조건으로 기타 여행상품과의 묶음판매도 규제하고 있다. 이와 같은 법규가 시행된 이후 여러 건의 법적 쟁송이 있었다. 그 주요한 사건으로 우선, 스피릿 항공사건을 들 수 있다. 이 사건은 원고 항공사들이 법 내용 중 총액운임 표시제, 환불규정, 구매 후 추가 지불금지 규정이 자사의 헌법상 권리인 표현의 자유를 침해할 뿐만 아니라 그 법규의 내용이 지나치게 자의적이고 일관성이 없으므로 무효라고 주장하였다. 이 밖에도 상당수 법규 위반 사례가 확인되었는데 대표적인 사건이 유나이티드 항공사건이라 할 수 있다. 본 사안에서 유나이티드 항공은 장시간 활주로 지연상황에서 승객들에게 하기가능 사항을 적절히 고지하지 않았고, 그러한 지연상황을 DOT에 보고하면서 일부 사항을 누락시켜 문제가 되었다. 한편, 이러한 시대적 요구에 발맞추어 최근 우리 항공법도 항공 소비자 보호에 관한 규정을 추가하였다. 하지만 활주로 지연과 관련한 다양한 피해구제책의 마련, 항공권 초과판매에 따른 비자발적 탑승거절에 따른 보상기준 제시, 항공권 광고 시에 운임표시에 관한 총액 운임제의 기준 마련, 인터넷을 활용한 항공운송계약 체결과 관련한 소비자 보호제도 기반조성 등에 관한 사항들은 향후 추가 논의를 거쳐 도입될 필요가 있을 것으로 본다.

어촌체험휴양마을의 고유성이 체험가치와 주관적 행복감에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Experiential Fishing Village Authenticity on Experience Value and Subjective Well-being)

  • The purpose of this study is to elucidate the impact of authenticity on experience value and subjective well-being among visitors who have participated in direct experiential activities in experiential fishing villages. The research method used literature research methods and empirical research methods using questionnaires, and this questionnaire was composed by determining three major variables and seven constituent factors for each variable through factor analysis and conducting prior research and preliminary surveys. The survey was conducted from February 5, 2023 to April 5, 2023 among experimental fishing villages with excellent ratings for scenery (environment), service, experience, accommodation, and food, and four villages that can experience tidal flats and manage customers online. The results of this study are as follows. First, the factors of authenticity in experiential fishing villages include three sub-factors: objective authenticity, constructive authenticity, and existential authenticity. The factors of experience value include two sub-factors: emotional values and functional values. Subjective well-being is derived from positive emotion and life satisfaction. Second, upon examining the importance of authenticity in experiential fishing villages, it was found that existential authenticity and objective authenticity, in that order, have a significant impact on emotional values. However, constructive authenticity did not have a significant impact on emotional values. Third, in terms of functional values, constructive authenticity, existential authenticity, and objective authenticity, in that order, had a significant impact. Fourth, experience value, in the order of emotional values and functional values, had a significant impact on positive emotion and life satisfaction of subjective well-being. Therefore, it was confirmed that the authenticity of experiential fishing villages is important as a strategy to enhance experience value and subjective well-being. Especially, considering that the majority of visitors to experiential fishing villages are family-centered (86.5%), applying marketing management strategies to develop programs that enhance existential authenticity and improve emotional values could elevate the subjective well-being of experiential visitors.

대형항공사 국제선 객실 승무원의 수면의 질, 피로 및 직무스트레스간의 관계 (The relationship of quality of sleep, fatigue and job stress of airlines international flight attendants in full service carriers)

  • 본 연구는 대형항공사 국제선 객실승무원의 수면의 질, 피로 및 직무스트레스를 파악하고 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향요인을 확인하기 위한 서술적 상관관계 조사연구이다. 연구결과 직무스트레스에 유의한 영향을 주는 인구학적 변수는 성별, 직급, 한 달 비행시간, 건강보조식품 복용유무, 수면유도제 복용유무였다. 직무스트레스와 수면의 질은 음의 관계(r=-.57, p<.001), 피로와는 양의 관계(r=.61, p<.001)로 나타났다. 회귀분석 결과 직무스트레스에 유의한 영향을 미친 변수는 피로, 수면유도제 복용유무, 성별, 수면의 질이었으며 55.7%의 설명력을 가졌다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 객실승무원의 직무스트레스에 수면의 질과 피로에 대한 중재가 중요하다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
