독일 위성자료보안법의 내용 및 시사점 (The Contents of SatDSiG and Its Implications for Korea)

  • 2007년 6월 발사된 TerraSAR-X와 2010년 6월 발사된 TanDEM-X는 주야간 및 기상 상태를 불문하고 지구관측이 가능한 고해상도(1m)의 독일 인공위성으로 독일 위성자료의 세계 사용시장 진출을 목적으로 민관 파트너십(독일항공우주센터(DLR)-Airbus)을 통해 개발 되었다. 그러나 상기 두 위성과 같은 고품질 지구원격탐사위성의 자료는 원래 군사 첩보위성에 의해서만 생산되고 매우 제한된 환경에서만 사용되었다. 그래서 독일은 자국의 안보정책의 보호와 함께 위성자료의 상업화를 촉진할 수 있는 법제도가 필요하였다. 2007년 12월 제정된 위성자료보안법이 그것이다. 이 논문은 독일 위성자료보안법의 주요 내용을 살펴본 후, 2018년 다목적실용위성 3호, 3A호 및 5호의 영상을 수출하기 시작한 우리나라에 대한 시사점을 보고자 한다.

Work Ability Index: Psychometric Testing in Aeronautical Industry Workers

  • Background: The Work Ability Index (WAI) is an instrument that measures work ability. The wide dispersion of the WAI internationally has led to its adaptation for use in different countries. This study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the WAI. Methods: A methodological design was used over an opportunistic sample of 233 workers in the aeronautical industry in Spain. Reliability was evaluated through internal consistency. Factorial validity, known groups, and convergent validity were tested. Results: The Cronbach's alpha and item-total correlation indicated an adequate internal consistency. The confirmatory factor analysis, performed to evaluate the factorial validity, found adequate fit indices for a two-factor solution with a high correlation between the factors. Factor 1, "Subjectively estimated work ability and resources", was composed of 3 subscales and factor 2, "Ill-health-related", of 2 subscales. Subscales 4 and 6 had loading in both factors. Workers under 45 years of age obtained higher significant scores than older ones. Convergent validity was also evidenced since WAI was highly correlated with self-assessment of health status. Conclusions: The Spanish version of the WAI has shown evidence of reliability and validity in this study, supporting its use in individual and collective health surveillance by occupational health professionals. The factorial solution that was found has previously been reported in another international context. However, further research is needed to resolve the discrepancies detected in the role of some subscales between other national and international studies.

RFID를 이용한 항공수하물 프로세스 연구 (Study of RFID Enabled Air Baggage Handling Process)

  • Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is one of Identification Technologies today. Many of the large retailers in the United States and Europe have established requirements for their suppliers to use RFID technology in 2004. Recently Airbus and Boeing have announced plans to develop a single RFID specification to be used by both companies to use RFID tags to identify commercial aircraft parts. However, it does not mean the end of barcode and it may take several years before the wide adoption of the RFID. This is because a precise business process reengineering is required with technology itself to get the potential benefits of RFID. In this paper, we introduce an RFID enabled air baggage handling process which has been developed and tested recently. We believe our study would give a good guideline for further researches on RFID application in the aviation industry.

항공기 지상 활주 연료소모량 예측모델 사례연구 (A380 중심) (A Case Study of Aircraft Taxi Fuel Consumption Prediction Model (A380 Case))

  • In this paper, we established a prediction model of fuel consumption at the aircraft's taxi operation. To look for countermeasures to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions, Airbus A380's actual ground taxi data was used. As a result, the number of stops or turnings during the taxi operation was not related to fuel consumption. It was confirmed that the amount of fuel consumption in the taxi operation was the taxi time and the thrust change. It can be confirmed that ground control optimization, which is the result of close cooperation between the control organization and the airline, is absolutely necessary to reduce taxi time and minimize the occurrence of thrust change events.

  • This paper is focused on the characterization of the thermomechanical properties of semicrystalline poly-ether-ether-ketone (PEKK) and of carbon fiberreinforced thermoplastic based laminated composites (C/PEKK) below and above the glass transition temperature (Tg). Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) and tensile tests are carried out on both pure PEKK polymer and [(±45)2, +45]s C/PEKK composite samples, showing a significant similarity in behavior. The employment of a simple micromechanical model confirms that the mechanical and physical behavior of the polymer and that of the matrix in the composite are similar.

Evaluation of Fuel Consumption of B747-400 in Short-range Flight with Catapult Assist

  • Recently, the aviation industry has sought to reduce its carbon usage in aircraft operations. Specifically, the industry is proceeding with the development of ultra-large turbofan engines and the development of hybrid electric engines to reduce the fuel consumption of aircraft. In one case, Airbus is developing as its future goal an aircraft with a short take-off distance that uses a catapult. In this study, when a b747-400 aircraft with two of the four engines removed was tested using a catapult, its fuel consumption was compared with that of the original aircraft. Fuel consumption was calculated using the mass flow consumption formula. Further, the aircraft L/D ratio caused by engine removal was interpreted using the CFD Tool, Ansys Fluent. The results showed that the lift ratio was improved by about 7% and that the fuel efficiency was improved by about 14%.

진화적 적응 웨이브릿 변환에 의한 레이다 표적의 산란 해석 (Scattering Analysis of Radar Target via Evolutionary Adaptive Wavelet Transform)

  • In this paper, the evolutionary adaptive wavelet transform(EAWT) is applied to the scattering analysis of radar target. EAWT algorithm uses evolutionary programming for the time-frequency parameter extraction instead of FFT and the bisection search method used in the conventional adaptive wavelet transform(AWT). Therefore, the EAWT has a better performance than the conventional AWT. In the simulation using wire target(Airbus-like), the comparisons with the conventional AWT are presented to show the superiority of the EAWT algorithm in the analysis of scattering phenomenology. The EAWT can be effectively applied to the radar target recognition.

  • In recent years, Korea's aviation industry has been developing rapidly due to the emergence of low-cost airlines. In order to survive in such competition, airlines are making various efforts to save the operation cost as much as possible. Fuel costs account for more than 25% of operating costs. For airlines, reducing aircraft fuel costs is an important part of improving profitability. In this study, analyzing the difference weight between flightplan and W&B Manifest for calculated the fuel that was unnecessarily loaded. As a method to calculate the unnecessary fuel was used by Airbus company flight planning program.

유럽 민간 항공산업의 생산입지와 생산네트워크: Airbus를 사례로 (Plant Locations and Production Networks of the European Civil Aviation Industry: Focus on the Airbus)

  • 시장규모와 기술력, 자본력이 작은 유럽 민간 항공산업이 세계시장을 정복하기 위해 채택한 생산논리는 참여국가의 부존자원을 결집시킨 국제합작 단일기업 형태의 공동개발 분업생산방식이었다. 전문화된 분업생산방식으로 각 생산입지는 지난 40년 동안 기술적 경험에 의한 학습효과와 상호작용을 촉진하는 지리적 근접성의 논리에 따라 관련 생산시설과 생산설비, 전문 협력업체와 하청업체, 관련 대학 및 연구소 등을 집적시키며 전문화를 강화해 왔다. 중 단거리 항공기 생산에서 전용 화물수송기를 이용한 물류연계체계는 지역간 시 공간을 단축시켜 분업화된 생산공정의 지리적 분산입지와 분산된 생산입지의 효율적인 물류연계를 가능하게 하였다. 그러나 부피와 무게로 전용 화물수송기에 의한 물류연계가 어려운 대형항공기 A380의 물류연계에는 전용 화물선이 선정되었다. 전용 화물선을 이용한 물류연계체계를 고려할 때, 최종조립공장의 입지로 내륙에 위치한 툴루즈의 선택은 해상과 육상이 연계된 복잡한 물류연계체계를 요구하기 때문에 입지측면에서 비합리적인 입지선택이었다. 이러한 입지선택은 유럽 민간 항공산업의 통합과정과 학습효과 및 지리적 근접성의 논리, 정부의 적극적인 유치지원정책에 의해 설명된다.

항공기 시스템 설계와 안전성평가에 운영경험 반영 사례 연구 (A Study on the Application of Operational Experience in the Stage of Aircraft System Design and Safety Assessment)

  • Airworthiness authorities specify the technical standards of airworthiness that propose minimum requirement of the commercial transport category and apply the rules in the certification process to ensure the safety of the aircraft. The Federal Aviation Administration and other national airworthiness authorities define the fatal accident risk levels for the safety assessment of the aircraft system and establish standard procedures to apply both qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. However, an accident or incident may occur by the combination of various factors, although the aircraft is designed in accordance with the strict standards and approval by the Airworthiness Authorities. There are some key factors, such as human error, unpredictable complex system failures, degradation of the components reliability, improper maintenance task and intervals. Risk can be reduced by reflecting aircraft operational experience with similar types of aircraft in the process of aircraft development and safety assessment. Result of the root cause analysis for the Airbus A300-600 incident in which the aircraft engine reverser was deployed in the air have been introduced to reflect the design of system and related components. Also, this paper suggests to create a big-database in order to provide a feed-back to the FAR Part 25 transport category design and safety assessment of the operational experience.
