As the availability of images from Airborne Digital Camera with high resolution is expanded, a lot of concern are in the production and update of digital map. This study presents the method of updating the digital map at the scale of 1/1,000 using images from Aerial Digital Camera. Geometric correction was completed using GPS surveying data. For digital mapping, digital photogrammetric system was utilized to digitize buildings and roads. The absolute positional accuracy was evaluated using GPS surveying data and the relative positional accuracy was evaluated using the digital map produced by analytical mapping. The absolute positional accuracy was as follows: RMSE in X and Y were ${\pm}0.172m\;and\;{\pm}0.127m$, and average distance error was 0.208m. The relative positional accuracy was as follows: RMSE in X and Y were ${\pm}0.238m\;and\;{\pm}0.281m$, and average distance error was 0.337m. Accuracies of updating digital map using images from airborne Digital Camera were within allowable error established by NGII. Consequently, images from airborne Digital Camera can be used in various fields including the production of the national basic map and the GIS of local government.

Lately, airborne digital camera and airborne laser scanner in field of airborne surveying are used to build geography information such as digital ortho photo map and DEM(Digital Elevation Model). In this study, 3D position accuracy is compared medium format CCD camera RCD105 with airborne digital camera DMC. For this, test area was decided for aerial photograph. And using 1/1,000 scale digital map, ground control points were selected for aerial triangulation and check points were selected for horizontal/vertical accuracy analysis using softcopy stereoplotter. Accuracy of RCD105 and DMC was estimated by result of aerial triangulation and result of check points measurement of using softcopy stereoplotter. In result of aerial triangulation, RMSE(Root Mean Square Error) X, Y, Z of RCD105 is 2.1, 2.2, 1.3 times larger than DMC. In result of check point measurement using softcopy stereoplotter, horizontal/ vertical RMSE of RCD105 is 2.5, 4.3 times larger than DMC. Even though accuracy of RCD105 is lower than DMC, it is maybe possible to make digital map and ortho photo using RCD105.
최근 디지털 카메라(Digital camera), 다중/고분광 영상(Mumltispectral/Hyperspectral image), LiDAR(Light Detection and Ranging), InSAR(Interferometric SAR)와 같이 지상을 보다 상세하고 높은 정확도로 지상을 매핑할 수 있는 센서들이 출현하고 있다.

This paper presents a method to derive the theoretical requirements for the development of a 400 mm optical window that transmits dual-band wavelengths and had a stable structure. We also present design and fabrication results. Among the required specifications, the surface figure error was defined by the transmitted wavefront deformation (TWD), ${\lambda}$/15 rms at 632.8 nm. This value was derived by estimating the predicted performances with respect to five independent items that could cause system performance degradation and then calculating the required wavefront error (WFE) to satisfy the performance goals. We measured the image resolution at each performance level to trace and verify the requirements. The article also describes a design optimization process that could minimize the weight and volume of the optical window attached to the payload securing the FOV of the camera. In addition, we accurately measured the deformation that occurred in the series of fabrication steps including processing, coating, assembly, bonding and bolting, and investigated the effects by comparing them to the results of a simulation performed in advance to derive the predicted performance.
Rigorous sensor and dynamic modeling techniques are required if spatial information is to be accurately extracted from video imagery. First, a mathematical model for an uncalibrated video camera and a description of a bundle adjustment with added parameters, for purposes of general block triangulation, is presented. This is followed by the application of invariance-based techniques, with constraints, to derive initial approximations for the camera parameters. Finally, dynamic modeling using the Kalman Filter is discussed. The results of various experiments with real video imagery, which apply the developed techniques, are given.
An airborne sensor is developed for remote sensing on an aerial vehicle (UV). The sensor is an optical payload for an eletro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) dual band camera that combines visible and IR imaging capabilities in a compact and lightweight package. It adopts a Ritchey-Chr$\'{e}$tien telescope for the common front end optics with several relay optics that divide and deliver EO and IR bands to a charge-coupled-device (CCD) and an IR detector, respectively. The EO/IR camera for dual bands is mounted on a two-axis gimbal that provides stabilized imaging and precision pointing in both the along and cross-track directions. We first investigate the mechanical deformations, displacements and stress of the EO/IR camera through finite element analysis (FEA) for five cases: three gravitational effects and two thermal conditions. For investigating gravitational effects, one gravitational acceleration (1 g) is given along each of the +x, +y and +z directions. The two thermal conditions are the overall temperature change to $30^{\circ}C$ from $20^{\circ}C$ and the temperature gradient across the primary mirror pupil from $-5^{\circ}C$ to $+5^{\circ}C$. Optical performance, represented by the modulation transfer function (MTF), is then predicted by integrating the FEA results into optics design/analysis software. This analysis shows the IR channel can sustain imaging performance as good as designed, i.e., MTF 38% at 13 line-pairs-per-mm (lpm), with refocus capability. Similarly, the EO channel can keep the designed performance (MTF 73% at 27.3 lpm) except in the case of the overall temperature change, in which the EO channel experiences slight performance degradation (MTF 16% drop) for $20^{\circ}C$ overall temperate change.
The Compact Airborne Imaging Spectrometer System (CAISS) was jointly designed and developed as the hyperspectral imaging system by Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) and ELOP inc., Israel. The primary mission of the CAISS is to acquire and provide full contiguous spectral information with high quality spectral and high spatial resolution for advanced applications in the field of remote sensing. The CAISS consists of six physical units; the camera system, the gyro-stabilized mount, the jig, the GPS/INS, the power inverter and distributor, and the operating system. These subsystems shall be tested and verified in the laboratory before the flight. Especially the camera system of the CAISS shall be calibrated and validated with the calibration equipments such as the integrated sphere and spectral lamps. To improve data quality and availability, it is the most important to understand the mechanism of hyperspectral imaging system and the radiometric and spectral characteristics. This paper presents the major characteristics of camera system on the CAISS and summarizes the results of radiometric and spectral experiment during preliminary system verification.

The airborne, UAV and satellite images were classified with the changed elements of coastal ecological environment and tidal flat vegetation monitoring carried out the changed area and shape of vegetation distribution with time series images.
We present the optical design and experimental verification of resolving performance of a 3× long wavelength infrared (LWIR) zoom camera for drones. The effective focal length of the system varies from 24.5 mm at the wide angle position to 75.1 mm at the telephoto position. The design specifications of the system were derived from ground resolved distance (GRD) to recognize 3 m × 6 m target at a distance of 1 km, at the telephoto position. To satisfy the system requirement, the aperture (f-number) of the system is taken as F/1.6 and the final modulation transfer function (MTF) should be higher than 0.1 (10%). The measured MTF in the laboratory was 0.127 (12.7%), exceeds the system requirement. Outdoor targets were used to verify the comprehensive performance of the system. The system resolved 4-bar targets corresponding to the spatial resolution at the distance of 1 km, 1.4 km and 2 km.
Recently, the generation of panoramic images and high quality mosaic images from video sequences has been attempted by a variety of investigations. Among a matter of investigation, in this paper, left and right stereo mosaic image generation utilizing airborne-video sequence images is focused upon. The stereo mosaic image is generated by creating left and right mosaic image which is generated by front and rear slit having different viewing angle in consecutive video frame images. The generation of stereo mosaic image proposed in this paper consists of several processes: camera parameter estimation for each video frame image, rectification, slicing, motion parallax elimination and image mosaicking. However it is necessary to check the feasibility on generating stereo mosaic image as explained processes. Therefore, in this paper, we performed the feasibility test on generating stereo mosaic image using video frame images. In doing so, anaglyphic image for stereo mosaic images is generated and tested for feasibility check.
