  • This study is to examine the possibility of pre-cooling at platform. Through measurement of the thermal environment of Bujeon Subway platforms, review the potential use of ground-water and night purge. The results of this research can improve the thermal environment pre-cooling of the design.

  • The rolling piston type rotary compressor has been widely used for refrigeration and air-conditioning systems due to its compactness and high-speed operation. The present analysis is a part of research program directed toward maximizing these advantages of refrigerant compressors. The study of lubrication characteristics in the critical sliding component is essential for the design of refrigerant compressors. Therefore, theoretical investigation of the lubrication characteristics of a rotary compressor used for refrigeration and air-conditioning systems is studied. Newton-Raphson method is used for the partial elastohydrodynamic lubrication analysis between vane and rolling piston in the rotary compressor. The results show that the rotational speed of a shaft and the discharge pressure influence significantly the friction force and the energy loss between vane and rolling piston.

  • The rolling piston type rotary compressor has been widely used for refrigeration and air-conditioning systems due to its compactness and high-speed operation. The present study is one of studies to maximize the advantages of refrigerant compressors. In addition, because friction characteristics of the critical sliding component is essential in the design of refrigerant compressors, the present study also analyzed the lubrication characteristics of a rotary compressor used for refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. In order to measure the friction force between the vane and the rolling piston, an experimental apparatus known as the Pin-on-Disk was used. Load is applied by the hydraulic servo valve controlling the pressure of the hydraulic cylinder. The results showed that the rotational speed of the shaft, the operating temperature, and the discharge pressure significantly influenced the friction force between the vane and the rolling piston.

  • Rapid increase of Refrigeration and Air conditioning system in modem industries brings attention to the urgency of core technology development in the area. This paper presents theoretical investigation of the lubrication characteristics of rotary compressor for refrigeration and air conditioning. In order to analyze the lubrication characteristics of the main & sub bearing of rotary compressor, the bearing force and locus of shaft center are analyzed by the dynamic analysis of rotary compressor and numerical analysis of Reynolds equation as the operating condition is changed in various ways. In this paper, we used the Runge-Kutta method for the dynamic analysis of rotary compressor and the SOR (Successive OverRelaxation) method for the numerical analysis of Reynolds equation. The result shows that the operating condition of sub bearing is severer than that of main bearing, and eccentricity ratio grows as the bearing force increases. It is believed that the result can be applied to the design of alternative refrigerant rotary compressor.

  • 최근 고도의 경제성장과 함께 유통구조의 선진화로 대형화, 하역 및 적재, 운반기계의 자동화를 도입하므로써 생산 또는 보관제품의 품질 보존, 작업 인원의 최소화 및 교통체중에 대한 적절한 대응으로 고품격의 물류 서비스를 할 수 있게 되었다. 특히, 생산 또는 보관제품의 품질 보존을 위해서는 물류 창고 내의 물류 특성에 따른 실내 공조환경 즉, 적정한 온 습도 및 기류를 유지하도록 공조설비를 계획하여야 하는데 층고가 높고 바닥면적이 넓은 대형 물류센터 즉, 산업용 대공간에 대한 공조설비는 층고 높이로 적재된 장애물을 극복하고 취출되는 기류가 실내 전체에 골고루 확산 및 순환 될 수 있도록 적정한 공조방식을 선정하여야 한다. 따라서 본 계획에서는 주로 N-스포츠사의 이천 물류센터 공조방식의 설계 사례를 들어 산업용 대공간에 대한 공조계획 개선 방안을 소개 하고자 한다.

GA를 이용한 오일쿨러시스템의 최적 PI제어기 설계 (Optimum PI Controller Design for an Oil Cooler System Using GA)

  • This paper deals with optimum PI controller design using genetic algorithm to improve control performance and robustness for an oil cooler system. The optimum PI gain was found to minimize an object function, integrated absolute error, and to satisfy control design specifications such as overshoot and settling time based on practical transfer function of the oil cooler system. The control performance and robustness were investigated by comparing indicial responses and Bode diagram analysis with respect to three kinds of PI gains obtained from different gain decision manners. Moreover, the robustness against to input disturbances, sinusoidal wave form and abrupt single pulse, was evaluated. The computer simulation results showed that the suggested optimum gain can establish desirable control performance and strong robustness with easy design process.

  • A variable speed refrigeration system(VSRS) has been received high attention for energy saving ability. This paper investigates effects of design factors such as membership function range and sampling time to control performances for systematical designing fuzzy logic controller of the VSRS. Some comparisons of control performance between the fuzzy and PI are conducted including comparative evaluation of robustness against noise by using computer simulations. The simulation results showed that the fuzzy is very useful design method for engineers in the industrial fields which have big noises system and deal with inherent nonlinear system like the VSRS.

  • This paper introduces to schematic design for Korea Institute of Toxicology Second Campus at Jeong-eup and provides fundamental information and data in order to design this laboratory facility to meet the criteria of G.L.P(Good Laboratory Practice), AAALAC(Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care) and so on. This paper especially focus on design criteria, HVAC(Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning) equipment and systems, plumbing equipment and systems, maintenance of equipment and systems and energy saving system of this laboratory facility.

  • This study is to optimize design parameters for waste heat recovery boiler with water tube and three drum. The design optimization considered here is to find the most economic dimension of the boiler considered which results in a minimum cost in producing a unit amount of steam per given period of operation. For this purpose, optimize design have to determine what are the main parameters of affecting the total cost of producing a unit amount of steam which is comprised of manufacturing cost of the boiler, operating cost of the fan etc.

  • Design performances of various configurations of hybrid systems combining an atmospheric pressure molten carbonate fuel cell and a gas turbine have been analyzed. Two different fuel reforming methods (internal and external reforming) were considered. Influences of turbine inflow heating method, location of fuel combustor and associated component arrangements were investigated. In general, internal reforming leads to higher system efficiencies. The optimum design pressure ratio varies among different system configurations. In particular, the design point selection is closely related to the allowable turbine inlet temperature. Configurations with direct heating of turbine inlet flow may realize both higher efficiency and higher specific power than those with indirect heating.
