자연환기시스템을 부착한 발코니의 열적 특성에 관한 연구 (The Study on Thermal Characteristic of the Balcony with Natural Ventilation System)

  • This paper compared vertical temperature distribution between the existing balcony model without ventilator facilities and the improved balcony model with ventilator facilities using differential equation. As the air inside of balcony is heated by solar radiation this heated air is not exhausted in the existing balcony, remaining stagnant. The air temperature distribution was $26.7{\sim}29.3^{\circ}C$ in balcony without natural ventilator system. This heated air affected the rising air temperature of adjacent spaces such as living room and bedroom in the existing balcony. But, as the heated air inside of the improved balcony model is exhausted through natural ventilator facilities in summer, the air temperature in balcony has fallen. The air temperature distribution in improved balcony was $24.8{\sim}26.7^{\circ}C$ for the inlet air speed of 1 m/s and $24.6{\sim}26.7^{\circ}C$ for the inlet air speed of 3 m/s. The energy consumption of the improved balcony is 2.5 times less than of the existing balcony. The improved balcony with the closed damper makes a roll as the existing balcony in the aspect of the heating effect. When the heated air in the improved balcony is supplied, the air temperature is raised and the ventilation effect in adjacent spaces was improved.

상황인지모델을 이용한 GIS 기반의 대기오염 정보시스템 개발 (Development of GIS based Air Pollution Information System, using a Context Awareness Model)

  • 센서네트워크(Sensor Network)기반의 웹 기반 기술과 모바일 컴퓨팅 기술의 급속한 발전으로 인해, 일반인은 유비쿼터스(Ubiquitous) 환경에서 다양한 형태의 데이터와 정보를 생산, 제공 및 공유할 수 있게 되었다. 공간정보분야에서는 지오 센서네트워크(Geosensor Network)와 공간 비공간 데이터 융합처리기술이 결합된 GIS(Geographic Information System)를 이용하여 공간정보 서비스를 제공하는 연구가 진행 중이다. 하지만, 방대한 양을 가지는 웹 데이터와 센서데이터를 GIS 데이터와 연계하여, 사용자 맞춤형 정보를 생성하기 위해서는 상황인지모델 기반의 정보제공이 필요하다. 상황인지 서비스는 사용자의 개입을 최소화하면서, 사용자 상황에 맞는 적절한 정보를 제공하는 것을 의미한다. 이를 위해 상황인지모델은 센서네트워크와 모바일 기기에서 취득된 데이터들의 특성과 연관성을 모델링하고, 사용자의 위치와 관심지역의 상황에 맞는 정보를 제공한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 상황인지모델 기반의 GIS 플랫폼을 개발하였다. 개발된 시스템은 대기환경 데이터와 모바일 데이터를 취득하고 분석된 결과를 대기환경정책에 반영함으로써, 시민의 환경의식을 높이고 공동참여를 활성화하도록 설계되었다.

  • This paper presents a feasibility study of a fresh air load reduction system by using an underground double floor space The system was introduced into a real building and was examined by the field measurement Judging from the measurements during three years(1999~2001), the state of the system operation was very stable through this period and it was clear that the system contributes to reduction of energy consumption for air-conditioning. Futhermore, a simulation model used the simple heat diffusion equation Was developed to simulate its thermal characteristics and performances The simulations resulted m air temperature in good agreement with the measurements. Also, from the result of numerical analysis, It is clear that the amount of heat supply by using this system is more than the amount of energy loss to the room above it. Therefore, it is concluded that this systems is very useful and the proposed numerical model can be used for the prediction of system thermal performance.

  • We proposed the concatenation of logistics' Information to constructing the intelligent logistics city that is to manage efficiently cargo distribution as providing at real-time information of cargo location trace and management through the Telematics/RFID. Case of the Incheon of the "Air Logistics Hub", this area is on an increasing trend on the quantity of cargo transport of the Air & Sea cargo system until 2006. As intelligent project of the Air's and the Sea's field is independently developed at each area, it is a problem on the concatenation of logistics' information such as freight location trace and management, operation management and route information of cargo vehicles. Therefore, we propose the advanced transport service model for the concatenating smoothly of Air & Sea cargo system. In this paper, we only manage the model of Air & Sea cargo system of the advance logistics city.

  • Air springs are now widely used in bus or truck suspensions due to their advantages over conventional metal spring as coil or leaf springs. Air springs have soft spring rates, which give better ride quality, and additional leveling system provides constant ride height and maintains almost same vertical natural frequencies. A mathematical model of an air spring suspension system with height control system is constructed and dynamic responses of the suspension system are investigated in the light of leveling valve motion characteristic, vertical motion natural frequency. Also, using a full vehicle model, handling characteristics of an air spring suspension is studied and the results are compared with real test results, which shows good agreements.

Numerical Study on the Extrapolation Method for Predicting the Full-scale Resistance of a Ship with an Air Lubrication System

  • Frictional resistance comprises more than 60% of the total resistance for most merchant ships. Active and passive devices have been used to reduce frictional resistance, but the most effective and practical device is an air lubrication system. Such systems have been applied in several ships, and their effects have been verified in sea trials. On the other hand, there are some differences between the results predicted in model tests and those measured in sea trials. In this study, numerical analyses were carried out for a model and a full-scale ship. A new extrapolation method was proposed to improve the estimation of the full-scale resistance of a ship with an air lubrication system. The volume of fluid (VOF) method was considered for the numerical models of the air layer. The numerical method was validated by comparing the experimental data on the air layer pattern and the total resistance.

  • This paper focuses on developing a model of a PEM fuel cell stack and to integrate it with realistic model of the air supply system for fuel cell vehicle application. The fuel cell system model is realistically and accurately simulated air supply operation and its effect on the system power and efficiency using simulation tool Matlab/Simulink. The Peak performance found at a pressure ratio of 3, and it give a 15mV increase per cell. The limit imposed is a minimum SR(Stoichiometric Ratio) of 2 at low fuel cell load and 2.5 at high fuel cell load.

  • This paper aims at suggesting design guidelines for a perimeter-less HVAC system that contributes energy savings. Perimeter-less HVAC system is one that relieves difficulties such as handling mixing loss, uneven radiative environment, and maintenance and repair. It prevents heat load gained through window and outdoor wall without modifying a previously equipped building skin system. In this paper, we conducted a large-scale model experiment to see how the push-pull air flow would handle indoor heat to obtain an optimized perimeter-less design, and then we plan to perform several kinds of CFD (computational fluid dynamics) cases through numerical simulation

자동차 흡기계 공기 여과기 필터의 음향학적 모델 (Acoustic modeling of an air cleaner filter in the engine intake system)

  • The air filter in engine intake system has a function of filtrating the dirt in the scavenging air as well as attenuating the noise. The noise attenuation within the air cleaner filter, however, has been regarded as negligible by the field engineers. In this paper, for the analysis of the acoustical performance of air filter, an acoustical model was suggested and the characteristics of air filter system were investigated. Fibrous structure of the filter element was modeled as a micro-perforated panel using the flow resistivity and porosity. The pleated geometry of the filter element was modeled as two coupled ducts that have permeable walls, in which each duct area was assumed being constant. Using such simplified geometry, a mathematical model was developed for the sound propagation within a narrow duct system. Visco-thermal effect was considered in modeling the sound propagation through such tubes; the filter box was modeled as a rigid rectangular box. By combining two models, a four-pole transfer matrix was derived. For the validation purpose, transmission loss was measured for a plastic rectangular box containing an air filter. A noticeable effect of the air filter element was observed by including the filter into the box. Comparing the predicted and measured data, we found that the predicted TL agrees well with experimental results, in particular, in magnitude and frequency at TL troughs.

R410A 냉방시스템의 마이크로채널 응축기에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Microchannel Condenser in a R410A A/C System)

  • A microchannel condenser as a part of a R410A residential air-conditioning system was examined experimentally and numerically in this study. The system was operated in separate environmental chambers and its performance was measured in ARI A, B, and C conditions. A numerical model for the microchannel condenser was developed and its results were compared with the experimental results. The model simulated the condenser with the assumption of the uniform air and refrigerant distribution, and with the consideration of the non-uniform air distribution at the face of the condenser and refrigerant distribution in the headers. In order to consider the non-uniform air distribution, air velocity contours were generated from the measured local air velocities at the face of the condenser. The simulation results showed that the effect of the air and refrigerant distribution was not a significant parameter in predicting the capacity of the microchannel condenser which was experimentally examined in this study. The comparison of the calculated and experimental results showed that the condenser capacity could be predicted well for every test condition. However, the prediction of refrigerant pressure drop deviated significantly from the measured values.
