  • The objectives of this study are to collect the population of each cooling system for gas and electric driven systems, and propose sample design for five cooling systems; ice storage systems, system air-conditioning system, turbo system as electric driven cooling systems, and absorption system and Gas driven Heat Pump (GHP) system as gas driven cooling systems. The sample design are carried out based on types of business, capacity, installation region and year. This study proposes criterion of the sample design for cooling systems for each energy source.

면/이동오염원 배출량 공간 할당방식에 대한 고찰 (Considerations in Space Allocation Methods of Emission from Area and Mobile Sources)

  • In the present study, space allocation methods of pollutant emission from area and mobile sources are assessed by the actual application to air quality modeling of Pohang area. It is found that the TM-based modeling which allocates emission onto the 1km x 1km sized TM-grid system predicts almost the same mean ground-level concentration as that by the GIS-based modeling which uses geographical information of area and mobile sources directly, while maximum ground-level concentration by the TM-based modeling is predicted considerably lower than that by the GIS-based modeling. Moreover, the problem is found that the TM-based modeling causes deviation of mobile roads. In conclusion, it is anticipated to applying GIS-based modeling for a more accurate assessment of air quality in local scale.

  • Generally in solar air conditioning system, the diode rectifier is used to build up DC link voltage from AC source. The diode rectifier is simple and cheap but it brings out the problems of low power factor and plentiful harmonics at the AC source. Also It can degrade the utilization rate of solar energy because the reverse of power flow cannot be made. Hence, in this paper to overcome the peak power problems in summer and to endure good AC input characteristics, solar air conditioning system using the PWM converter is proposed. A high input power factor of 97[%] and an efficiency of 98[%] are also obtained. The harmonic guide lines of proposed rectifier is no interfered with inverter switching, resulting in a simple, reliable and low cost ac to dc converters in comparison with the boost type current improving circuits.

벽에서 열원이 있는 수직채널안의 자연대류열전달 (Free Convective Heat Transfer in a Vertical Channel with Heat Source at the Wall)

  • In this study, a numerical analysis was performed for the natural convection heat transfer in a vertical channel which was consisted of two finite-thickness vertical walls with heat source. The ratio of the thermal conductivity of wall to air played an important role in the analysis. The case for which one side wall has protrusion resistances was also examined. The governing equations for the system was discretized by control volume formulation and solved by SIMPLE method. As the result of this study, it was found that the uniform heat flux boundary condition could be applied when the conductivity ratio was below approximately 50 and the uniform temperature boundary condition could be used when the conductivity rat io was over approximately 15,000. However, when the conductivity ratio was between 50 and 15,000, the thermal conductivity ratio value should be considered for the analysis. It was also found that the existence of protrusion resistance influenced the thermal field up to the distance of 3-4 times of the protrusion length.

상-파넬 히-팅의 해석법 (Steady and Transient Solution of heat Conduction from hurried Pipes of panel heating Slab)

  • Floor panel heating system is popular in Korea as dwelling house heating system. There are two methods for keeping floor surface warm. One method is delivering warm air under the floor such as Roman Hypocaust and Korean traditional Ondol. The other method is imbedding hot water pipes into the concrete floor slab. This paper gives basic equations for steady and transient solutions of heat conduction from hurried pipes. For steady-state solution, fin Efficiency Method and Sink and Source Method were introduced. Sink and Source Method is applied to transient state and basic solution is given in the form of Exponential Integral Function. Numerical solutions can be solved easily by digital computer from these equations.

국내 적용을 위한 Miller-Holzworth 모델의 수정 (Modification of Miller-Holzworth model for Korea)

  • Many air quality models have been used for Environmental impact assessments. Miller-Holzworth model suggested by Holzworth is a simple air quality model is frequently used for air quality assessments in korea. Miller-Holzworth model suggested by Holzworth is a simple air quality model for the ground-level area source, The model estimates the pollutants concentration averaged over the wind centerline. An error involved in the Miller-Holzworth model was first indentified by Calder in 1977. But the model has been used without correction for unsuitable cases in Korea. This paper corrected that error and modified model formulation for application to urban and rural areas.

  • The numerical simulation of air movement in a room using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) requires a complicated set of input data, This includes physical data, such as space geometry, characteristics of supply air flow and contaminant source, etc. as well as computational domain. Among the input data, the boundary conditions related to the inlet are particularly crucial in order to achieve accurate computation results, although there are many other parameters which may also affect the results. PMF 방법론을 이용한 수원지역 PM-10의 오염원 확인 (Source Identification of PM-10 in Suwon Using the Method of Positive Matrix Factorization)

  • The receptor modeling is one of the statistical methods to achieve reasonable air pollution strategies. The pur-pose of this study was to survey the concentration variability oi inorganic elements and ionic species in the PM-10 particles, to qualitatively characterize emission sources by an advanced algorithm called positive matrix factoriza-tion(PMF) as a receptor model that can strictly provide results in every loading matrix. A total of 254 samples was collected by a PM-10 high volume air sampler from Mar. 1997 to Feb. 1998 in Kyung Hee University at Suwon Campus. Fourteen chemical species(Zn, Cu, Fe, Pb, Al, Mn, $Na^{+}$, NH$_4$+, $K^{+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Ca^{2+}$, $SO_4^{2-}$, $NO_{3}^{-}$, and $Cl^{-}$) were determined by AAS and IC methods. The study results showed that the average monthly concentration of PM-10 particles were 86.3$\mu\textrm{g}$/$\textrm{m}^3$ in March (maximum) and 28.5$\mu\textrm{g}$/$\textrm{m}^3$ in August(minimum), respectively. The concentrations of Na+, NH$_4$+, $K^{+}$ and $Cl^{-}$ in winter, $Mg^{2+}$, $Ca^{2+}$ and $NO_{3}^{-}$, in spring, and $SO_4^{2-}$ in summer showed the largest peak concentration for the respective season. Through and app-lication of a PMF program of Pm-10 concentration data of Suwon, 9 sources were qualitatively identified , such as incineration source, oil burning source, soil related source, open burning source automobile source, coal burning sources, secondary sulfate related source, and secondary nitrate related source.

시험선원을 이용한 기준 전리함의 감도변화와 임상필드전리함의 성능 안정성 비교 (Comparison the reference ion chamber in using the radioactive check source and field ion chamber for output dose for Co-60 source of remote afterloading system)

  • 치료효과를 보증하기 위해서는 조사선량의 5% 이내의 선량오차가 방사선생물학적 의미가 높은 것으로 잘 알려져 있다. 따라서 종양치료를 위한 강내조사 선원이나 선형가속기의 고선량율의 선량 평가는 정확하고 안정적 평가가 이루어져야 된다. 선량을 평가 교정하기 위해 전리함의 교정 인정기관의 교정상수를 유지하기 위해 선진국에서는 기하학적으로 고정된 표준선원과 전리함의 사용을 오래 전부터 권고해 왔다. 본 연구는 전리함의 감도 변화를 측정할 수 있는 Sr-90 시험선원을 이용한 임의의 기준 전리함의장기간 안정성이 1.00$\pm$0.01 의 오차 범위에 있음을 알 수 있었고, 고선량률 원격강내조사선원인 Co-60 선원에 대한 기준전리함의 출력선량에 대한 임상측정용 전리함의 출력선량은 평균 0.997 $\pm$ 0.01의 오차범위에서 평가될 수 있었으며, 최대오차는 예상선량에 -2.5% 였다. 이 실험을 통해 반감기가 긴 시험선원을 이용하여 임상 측정용 공기전리함의 안정적 성능을 유지할 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

대형 Community 건물의 연료전지 구동 복합열원 하이브리드 히트펌프 시스템 성능에 관한 해석적 연구 (Study on the Performance of Fuel Cell Driven Compound Source Heat Pump System to a Large Community Building)

  • In the present study, performances of fuel cell driven compound source hybrid heat pump system applied to a large community building are simulated. Among several renewable energy sources, ground, river, sea, and waste water sources are chosen as available alternative energies. The performance and energy cost are varied with the hybrid heat pump sources. The system design and operation process appropriate for the surrounding circumstance guarantee the high benefit of the heat pump system applied to a large community building. Th system is driven by fuel cell system instead of the late-night electricity due to the advantages of the low energy cost and waste heat with high temperature.
