복공식 압축공기 지하저장을 위한 가변성 분할 라이닝 터널기술 (Flexible and Lined Segment Tunnel for Underground Compressed Air Energy Storage(CAES))

  • 가변성 분할 라이닝 기밀시스템을 채용한 CAES-G/T 발전용 복공식 압축공기 지하저장 터널기술을 소개 하였다. 본 기밀시스템의 특징은 라이닝 세그먼트의 변위를 허용함으로써 고압 압축공기에 의한 내압을 암반이 최대한 부담토록 하고 특수고무시트 부착을 통해 저장터널의 기밀성을 향상시킨 것으로 요약할 수 있다. 이러한 기밀시스템을 채용한 가변성 터널기술은 압축공기 지하저장 시설의 천심도, 도심지 근교 및 도서지방에서의 시공을 가능케 하여 소규모의 분산형 CAES-G/T 발전이 가능할 뿐만 아니라 다양한 에너지(천연가스, LPG, DME) 지하저장시설로서의 활용이 기대된다.

  • As a research to develop a SCRAM jet engine is actively conducted, a necessity to produce a high-enthalpy flow in a laboratory is increasing. In order to develop the SCRAM-jet engine, stabilized combustion in a supersonic flow-field should be attained, in which a duration time of flow is extremely short. Therefore, a mixing process of breathed air and fuel, which is injected into supersonic flow-fields is one of the most important problem. Since, the flow inside SCRAM jet engine has high-enthalpy, an experimental facility is required to produce such high-enthalpy flow-field. In this study, a detonation-driven shock tunnel was built and was used to produce high-enthalpy flow. Further-more, SCRAM jet engine model equipped backward-facing step was installed at test section and flow-fields were visualized using color-schlieren technique and high speed video camera. The fuel was injected perpendicular to the flow of Mach number three behind backward-facing step. The height of the step, distance of injection and injection pressure were changed to investigate the effects of step on a mixing characteristic between air and fuel. The schlieren photograph and pressure histories show that the fuel was ignited behind the step.

HFC152a 대체냉매를 이용한 자동차 냉방장치의 성능 최적화에 관한 연구 (Study of Performance Optimization as an Alternative Refrigerant HFC152a in a Mobile Air Conditioning System)

  • This study presents an HFC152a refrigerant air conditioner as an alternative to HFC134a, which is currently used in mobile air conditioning systems. Cool-down performance tests of an HFC152a air conditioning system were conducted and compared to a baseline HFC134a air conditioner. The experimental set-up consisted of a belt-driven compressor, a sub-cooled type condenser, an evaporator, and a block-type thermal expansion valve (TXV). A drop-in test was carried out on the mobile air conditioning system under various vehicle running speeds in a climate-controlled wind tunnel (CWT). Additionally, to optimize the HFC152a air conditioning system, the effects of the TXVs on the performance were studied. The results show that compared to the HFC134a air conditioning system, the refrigerant charge quantity was reduced by approximately 20%, the discharge pressure was reduced by about 350~430 kPa, and the air discharge temperature at vehicle running conditions was $0.5{\sim}1.5^{\circ}C$ lower. In addition, good compressor durability was expected due to the lower compression ratio.

  • 모형 프로펠러 날개의 레이놀즈 수와 날개 앞날 표면거칠기 그리고 터널용수의 공기함유량이 모형 프로펠러의 캐비테이션 초기 발생, 캐비테이션 발생량 및 변동압력에 미치는 영향을 캐비테이션 터널에서 실험적으로 조사하였다. 'Sydney Express' 컨테이너선의 모형 프로펠러 캐비테이션 관찰과 변동압력 계측결과를 타 연구기관의 모형실험 결과와 실선 프로펠러의 캐비테이션 관찰 및 변동압력 계측치와 함께 비교하였다. 그 결과 매우 타당한 결과를 보여주었다.

  • The test facility of the 1/60-scale models for the train-tunnel interactions was recently developed to investigate the effects of entry portal shapes, flood shapes and air-shafts for reducing the micro-pressure waves radiating to the surroundings of the tunnel exits by KRRI in Korea. The launching system of train model was chosen as air-gun type. In present test rig, after train model is launched, the blast wave by the driver did not enter to inside of the tunnel model. The train model is guided on the one-wire system from air-gun driver to the brake parts of test facility end. Some cases of the experiments were compared with numerical simulations to prove the test facility.

다공벽을 전파하는 압축파의 실험적 연구 (Experimental study of compression waves propagating porous walls)

  • When a high-speed railway train enters a tunnel, a compression wave is generated ahead of the train and propagates along the tunnel, compressing and accelerating the rest air in front of the wave. At the exit of the tunnel, an impulsive wave is emitted outward toward the surrounding, which causes a positive impulsive noise like a kind of sonic boom produced by a supersonic aircraft. With the advent of high-speed train, such an impulsive noise can be large enough to cause the noise problem, unless some attempts are made to alleviate its pressure levels. In the purpose of the impulsive noise reduction, the present study tested the effect of porous walls on the compression wave propagating into a model tunnel. Experimental results were obtained using a shock tube with an open end. The results showed that the cavity/porous wall is very effective for the compression wave with a large nonlinear effect. The porosity of 30% is most effective for attenuation and pressure gradient reduction of the compression wave front. Also the impulsive noise reduction increases with increasing the length and height of the cavity, compared with the tunnel equivalent diameter.

호남-제주 해저터널 가상설계의 공기압력 제어 덕트가 열차 주행에 미치는 영향에 대한 수치해석 연구 (A Numerical Study on the Effect of Pressure Relief Ducts on the Normal Pressure in a Preliminary Design of Honam-Jeju Subsea Tunnel)

  • 최근에는 고속 열차와 관련된 인프라가 발전한 유럽, 일본 같은 고속철도 선진국뿐만 아니라 미국과 중국에서도 고속철도 건설에 대한 구체적인 계획이 증가하고 있으며, 국내의 경우 수도권 광역급행철도(GTX)와 같은 대심도 지하 교통망의 건설이 추진되고 있다. 열차가 고속으로 주행할 경우 발생하는 공기저항을 최대한 감소시키기 위하여 열차의 선두부는 유선형으로 설계된다. 열차가 터널 내로 진입할 때, 터널 내에서 발생한 공기저항으로 인하여 열차가 터널을 주행할 때 개활지에서 주행하는 경우보다 훨씬 큰 동력이 요구된다. 따라서 일반적으로 열차가 터널로 진입할 때 공기저항 저감을 위하여 열차의 주행속도를 감소시킨다. 이렇게 열차의 속도를 감소시킬 경우 고속 열차의 운송 능력 및 장점이 감소되기 때문에 터널 내에서 열차의 주행 시에 발생하는 공기저항을 감소시키는 설비가 필수적이다. 이 연구에서는 터널 내에서 열차의 고속 주행을 위해 필요한 공기압력 제어 시스템의 효과를 분석하기 위하여 터널의 단면적 및 공기압력 제어 덕트의 단면적과 덕트의 간격이 열차 주행으로 인한 공기저항에 미치는 영향을 1차원 네트워크 수치해석 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다.

풍하중에 의한 건물내부 압력의 동적변화에 관한 연구 (Wind Tunnel Investigation of Fluctuating Pressure Inside Building)

  • 본 연구는 모형건물의 풍동실험을 통하여 건물내부에 작용하는 풍하중의 동적변화를 조사연구하였다. 실험에 사용된 모형건물은 건물외부에 작용하는 풍하중이 건물내부에 전달될 수 있는 개구부가 설치된 직육면체 형태의 구조물인데 실험시 개구부의 면적과 방향을 변화하고 정상류와 난류 상태의 풍하중을 사용하였다. 주어진 실험 조건하에서 건물내부 압력의 진동주파수를 알 수 있는 power spectrum과 내부압력의 동적변화량을 알 수 있는 RMS를 측정하여 분석하였는데 분석된 실험결과는 비교적 최근에 제안된 이론과 일치하였다.

수직갱을 이용한 터널내 비정상 압축파의 피동제어 (Passive control of unsteady compression wave using vertical bleed ducts)

At the exit of the tunnel, an impulsive wave is emitted outward toward the surrounding, which causes a positive impulsive noise like a kind of sonic boom produced by a supersonic aircraft. With the advent of high-speed train, such an impulsive noise can be large enough to cause the noise problem, unless some attempts are made to alleviate its pressure levels. For the purpose of the impulsive noise reduction, the present study investigated the effect of a vertical bleed duct on the compression wave propagating into a model tunnel. Numerical results were obtained using a Piecewise Linear Method and testified by experiment of shock tube with an open end. The results showed that the vertical bleed duct reduces the maximum pressure gradient of compression wave front by about 30 percent, compared with the straight tunnel without the bleed duct. As the width of the vertical bleed duct becomes larger, reduction of the impulsive noise is expected to be greater. However the impulsive noise is independent of the height of the vertical bleed duct.

Supersonic Moist Air Flow with Condensation in a Wavy Wall Channel

  • The characteristics of Prand시-Meyer expansion of supersonic flow with condensation along a wavy wall in a channel are investigated by means of experiments and numerical analyses. Experiments are carried out for the case of moist air flow in an intermittent indraft supersonic wind tunnel. The flow fields are visualized by a Schlieren system and the distributions of static pressure along the upper wavy wall are measured by a scanning valve system with pressure transducers. In numerical analyses, the distributions of streamlines, Mach lines, iso-pressure lines, and iso-mass fractions of liquid are obtained by the two-dimensional direct marching method of characteristics. The effects of stagnation temperature, absolute humidity, and attack angle of the upper wavy wall on the generation and the locations of generation and reflection of an oblique shock wave are clarified. Futhermore, it is confirmed that the wavy wall plays an important role in the generation of an oblique shock wave and that the effect of condensation on the flow fields is apparent.
