디젤분사계의 특성에 관한 해석적 연구 (An Analytical Study on Characteristics of a Diesel Injection System)

  • 디젤기관의 연료분사계는 연소실과 함께 디젤기관의 성능에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요소의 하나로 이에 대한 이해는 디젤연소 규명에 있어서 매우 중요하다. 그러나 이분사계는 발화 및 완전연소에 필요한 무화, 공기의 이용율을 증가시키는 관통성 및 분포성등의 요건뿐만 아니라 요구되는 분사율, 2차분사 그리고 분사펌프와의 결합등의 많은 문제와 연관되어 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이와 같이 복잡한 디젤기관의 연료분사계를 단순화시켜서 펌프측, 노즐측 및 분사파이프측의 세부분으로 나누어 모델링하여 해석함으로써 새로운 연료분사계의 개발을 위한 기초연구자료를 구하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 분사파이프내의 압력과 분사계의 실험을 통하여 본 모델의 타당성을 검토하였으며 각 분사계에 있어서 분사량을 최대로 하는 분사파이프직경이 존재함을 확인할 수 있었다.

세라믹 화이버 버너의 배기 배출물과 분광학적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Pollutant Formation and Spectral Radiation Properties in Ceramic Fiber Radiant Burner)

  • An experimental study was performed to investigate the effects of mixing quality, inlet pressure, nozzle diameter on CO, NO emission and radiation characteristics in porous ceramic fiber radiant burners. Observations of combustion characteristics occurring inside the burner system which was insulated fiber mat, were investigated by measuring emission and radiation characteristics. Combustion was achieved at the firing rate of $88{\sim}99\;kcal/hr$, inlet pressure of $100{\sim}250mmH_2O$. The fiber burner exhibit significant both spectral intensity peaks in the bands at $2.5{\mu}m\;and\;4.0{\mu}m$ relatively. There is a small difference in the variable mixing tube. However spectral intensity increased with the firing rate. CO emissions were found to be strongly dependent on the operating conditions. There was a tendency that CO concentration increased as the firing rate increases. the reason for rise of CO concentration is that is becomes it the relatively rich condition. Relatively low NO emission was observed for the whole operating range. The NO concentration is maximal at the firing rate of approximately 2850 kcal/hr and an air ratio of about 1.

부분분사에서 작동하는 소형 사류형 터빈에서의 성능특성에 관한 연구 (Performance Characteristics of a Partially Admitted Small Mixed-Type Turbine)

  • 본 연구에 적용된 터빈은 사류형 터빈이며 동익의 외경은 108 mm 이다. 터빈은 1.7-2.0%의 낮은 부분분사율에서 작동하므로 익형은 축류형으로 설계되었으며 2단으로 구성되었다. 분사가 축방향으로 형성된 경우와 반경방향으로 형성된 경우에 따른 성능특성의 차이가 연구되었다. 또한 터빈의 단수에 따른 성능특성도 비교 되었다. 터빈의 작동범위에 따른 비교를 위하여 회전수를 변경하면서 성능평가가 이루어졌을 뿐만 아니라 시스템의 평가를 위하여 총 비토오크가 얻어졌다. 사류형 터빈이므로 축방향으로 분사되는 경우가 반경방향으로 분사되어지는 경우보다는 양호한 성능을 얻었으며, 출구단 동익의 효과는 회전수에 의하여 좌우되지만 축방향 분사터빈 경우에 최대 7.8%의 비토오크 상승의 결과를 보여주었다.

Development Study of A Precooled Turbojet Engine for Flight Demonstration

  • This paper presents the development status of a subscale precooled turbojet engine "S-engine" for the hypersonic cruiser and space place. S-engine employs the precooled-cycle using liquid hydrogen as fuel and coolant. It has $23cm{\times}23cm$ of rectangular cross section, 2.6 m of the overall length and about 100 kg of the target weight employing composite materials for a variable-geometry rectangular air-intake and nozzle. The design thrust and specific impulse at sea-level-static(SLS) are 1.2 kN and 2,000 sec respectively. After the system design and component tests, a prototype engine made of metal was manufactured and provided for the system firing test using gaseous hydrogen in March 2007. The core engine performance could be verified in this test. The second firing test using liquid hydrogen was conducted in October 2007. The engine, fuel supplying system and control system for the next flight test were used in this test. We verified the engine start-up sequence, compressor-turbine matching and performance of system and components. A flight test of S-engine is to be conducted by the Balloon-based Operation Vehicle(BOV) at Taiki town in Hokkaido in October 2008. The vehicle is about 5 m in length, 0.55 m in diameter and 500 kg in weight. The vehicle is dropped from an altitude of 40 km by a high-altitude observation balloon. After 40 second free-fall, the vehicle pulls up and S-engine operates for 60 seconds up to Mach 2. High altitude tests of the engine components corresponding to the BOV flight condition are also conducted.

Flow-induced pressure fluctuations of a moderate Reynolds number jet interacting with a tangential flat plate

  • The increase of air traffic volume has brought an increasing amount of issues related to carbon and NOx emissions and noise pollution. Aircraft manufacturers are concentrating their efforts to develop technologies to increase aircraft efficiency and consequently to reduce pollutant discharge and noise emission. Ultra High By-Pass Ratio engine concepts provide reduction of fuel consumption and noise emission thanks to a decrease of the jet velocity exhausting from the engine nozzles. In order to keep same thrust, mass flow and therefore section of fan/nacelle diameter should be increased to compensate velocity reduction. Such feature will lead to close-coupled architectures for engine installation under the wing. A strong jet-wing interaction resulting in a change of turbulent mixing in the aeroacoustic field as well as noise enhancement due to reflection phenomena are therefore expected. On the other hand, pressure fluctuations on the wing as well as on the fuselage represent the forcing loads, which stress panels causing vibrations. Some of these vibrations are re-emitted in the aeroacoustic field as vibration noise, some of them are transmitted in the cockpit as interior noise. In the present work, the interaction between a jet and wing or fuselage is reproduced by a flat surface tangential to an incompressible jet at different radial distances from the nozzle axis. The change in the aerodynamic field due to the presence of the rigid plate was studied by hot wire anemometric measurements, which provided a characterization of mean and fluctuating velocity fields in the jet plume. Pressure fluctuations acting on the flat plate were studied by cavity-mounted microphones which provided point-wise measurements in stream-wise and spanwise directions. Statistical description of velocity and wall pressure fields are determined in terms of Fourier-domain quantities. Scaling laws for pressure auto-spectra and coherence functions are also presented.

  • In fine-particle injection processing, hard fine particles, such as silicon carbide or aluminum oxide, are injected - using high-pressure air, and a small amount of material is removed by applying an impact to the workpiece by spraying at high speeds. In this study, a two-axis stage device capable of sequence control was developed to spray various shapes, such as circles and squares, on the surface during the micro-particle jetting process to understand the surface-shape micro-particle-processing characteristics. In the experimental device, two stepper motors were used for the linear movement of the two degree-of-freedom mechanism. The signal output from the microcontroller is - converted into a signal with a current sufficient to drive the stepper motor. The stepper motor rotates precisely in synchronization with the pulse-signal input from the outside, eliminating the need for a separate rotation-angle sensor. The major factors of the processing conditions are fine particles (silicon carbide, aluminum oxide), injection pressure, nozzle diameter, feed rate, and number of injection cycles. They were identified using the ANOVA technique on the design of the experimental method. Based on this, the surface roughness of the spraying surface, surface depth of the spraying surface, and radius of the corner of the spraying surface were measured, and depending on the characteristics, the required spraying conditions were studied.

전도성 페이스트 도포량 변화에 따른 결정질 태양광 모듈의 전기적 특성에 대한 영향성 분석 (Influence of the Amount of Conductive Paste on the Electrical Characteristics of c-Si Photovoltaic Module)

  • Recently, research on cost reduction and efficiency improvement of crystalline silicon(c-Si) photovoltaic(PV) module has been conducted. In order to reduce costs, the thickness of solar cell wafers is becoming thinner. If the thickness of the wafer is reduced, cracking of wafer may occur in high temperature processes during the c-Si PV module manufacturing process. To solve this problem, a low temperature process has been proposed. Conductive paste(CP) is used for low temperature processing; it contains Sn57.6Bi0.4Ag component and can be electrically combined with solar cells and ribbons at a melting point of $150^{\circ}C$. Use of CP in the PV module manufacturing process can minimize cracks of solar cells. When CP is applied to solar cells, the output varies with the amount of CP, and so the optimum amount of CP must be found. In this paper, in order to find the optimal CP application amount, we manufactured several c-Si PV modules with different CP amounts. The amount control of CP is fixed at air pressure (500 kPa) and nozzle diameter 22G(outer diameter 0.72Ø, inner 0.42Ø) of dispenser; only speed is controlled. The c-Si PV module output is measured to analyze the difference according to the amount of CP and analyzed by optical microscope and Alpha-step. As the result, the optimum amount of CP is 0.452 ~ 0.544 g on solar cells.

난류충돌유동의 질량유량비에 따른 혼합유동구조에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Mixing Flow Structure of Turbulent Cross Flow with Respect to the Ratio of Mass Flow Rate)

  • 본 연구에서는 복잡한 유동형태를 지닌 충돌분사류에 대한 유동특성을 연구하 기 위하여 단순화된 실험모델로써 형상이 동일한 두 원형분류의 충돌에 의한 충돌분류 의 혼합현상 및 유동구조 등을 질량유량비의 변화에 따라 유체역학적으로 구명하고자 하였으며, 본 연구 결과는 연소기관에서의 연소효율 증대 및 구조개선등의 공학적 응 용을 위한 기본자료로 활용하고, 이론적 연구에 의한 난류의 유동구조 및 유동특성 에 대한 타당성 입증과 이론적 모델의 보완을 위한 실험자료로 이용하고자 한다. 충돌유동에 영향을 미치는 주요인자는 노즐직경, 충돌각, 충돌질량유량비, 온도, 밀도 등이며, 이 인자들 중에서 충돌질량유량비와 출돌각이 충돌후 형성되는 난류혼합유동 에 지배적인 영향을 미치므로, 본 연구에서는 두 원형분류의 충돌질량유량비를 가변할 수 있는 장치를 고안하였으며, 두 분류의 충돌각을 45˚로 고정하고, 고속측과 저속측 노즐의 질량유량비를 1.0, 0.8, 0.6, 0.4로 설정하여 질량유량비에 따른 혼합 유동구 조의 구명을 위한 실험적인 연구를 수행하였다. 충돌후의 혼합유동의 특성을 연구하 기 위하여 유동중심궤적, 유동반폭, 유동단면, 2차원 및 3차원 유동장, 평균속도분포 등을 온라인 컴퓨터시스템을 이용하여 측정분석하였다.

초미세기포 water jet을 이용한 도로 시설물 분진 제거 효율 평가 (Evaluation of Dust Removal Efficiency on Roadway Structures Using Ultrafine Bubble Water Jet)

  • 4 HP, 80 LPM 급 초미세기포수 발생장치를 탑재한 도로 구조물 세척차량을 이용하여 도시 내 아파트 단지 주변 차량 통행이 많은 터널 내 콘크리트 표면과 타일 벽면을 세척하였다. 초미세기포 생성은 대기 중 공기를 2 ~ 3 LPM 으로 기액혼합 자흡펌프로 가압된 공기를 임펠러 회전력을 이용하여 마이크로 크기의 미세기포(fine-bubble)를 생성한다. 생성된 기포를 다단충돌판과 회전 노즐을 통과하면서 평균 직경 크기는 164.5 nm, 6.81 × 107 particles mL-1의 초미세기포(ultrafine bubble)를 생산하였다. 생산된 초미세기포를 함유한 세척수는 압력 150 bar, 토출량 30 LPM 으로 도로 구조물 표면에 흡착된 분진을 고압세척 분사하여 제거하였다. 분석실험은 세척 전과 후로 구분하여 표면에 흡착한 분진을 ISO 8502-3의 표면 오염 측정방법을 적용하였으며, 테이프 흡착으로 분진 입자를 채취하였다. 수집된 테이프는 중량법과 소프트웨어 ImageJ를 적용하여 분진의 무게와 입자 개수에 대한 제거율을 산정하였다. 실험 결과, 타일 벽면 표면에 흡착된 분진 입자 개수는 세척 전과 후로 각각 3,063 ± 218 particles mL-1, 20 ± 5 particles mL-1, 중량은 580 ± 82 mg, 13 ± 4 mg 으로 나타났다. 콘크리트 구조물 표면에서의 입자개수는 세척 전과 후로 각각 8,105 ± 1,738 particles mL-1, 39 ± 6 particles mL-1이었으며, 중량은 1,448 ± 190 mg, 118 ± 32 mg으로 나타났다.
