비전도성 액체의 전하주입형 2-유체 노즐에 대한 분무 특성 (Spray Characteristics of Charge Injected 2-fluid Nozzle for Non-conducting Liquid)

  • Spray characteristics of charge injected 2-fluid nozzle for non-conducting liquid have been studied. Spray current, specific charge and SMD of diesel have been measured. Spray current and specific charge are proportional to applied voltage. Air flow did not effect on spray current and specific charge. SMD decreases as air flow rate increases and decreases as applied voltage increases additionally. Spray angle increases as applied voltage increases. Fine droplets are obtained by charge injected 2-fluid nozzle without charge loss.

  • Recently, many researches have been performed to improve the combustion and emission in a D.I.Diesel engine. Especially reduction of the soot formation in the combustion chamber is the essential to acquire the improvement of the emission performance. This emission of the diesel combustion is effected by the characteristics of air-fuel mixing. Therefore, the optical measurement technique such as LII and LIS were established in order to visualize the distribution of the soot and analyze the particle including spray in the combustion chamber. In this study, we developed the algorithm for calculating relative diameter and density of particle and applied this method to measure stimultaneously the distribution of soot and spray in a D.I. diesel engine. From this experiment we found that the soot is existed in the rich region of spray and generated caused by incapable air fuel mixture.

  • Headache after epidural block is the most frequent result of an unintentional dural puncture. This form of headache is usually caused by cerebrospinal fluid leakage through the dural puncture site. Another proposed cause of postdural puncture headache is the unintentional injection of air into the subarachnoid space. We experienced a case of severe headache with a patient after lumbar epidural block and discovered air in the intracranial subarachnoid space(pneumocephalus) with the aid of brain computerized tomography.

  • This paper describes numerical efforts to characterize the flame-holding and air-fuel mixing process of model SCRamjet engine combustor, where a hydrogen jet injected into a supersonic cross flow and in a cavity. Combustion phenomena in a model SCRamjet engine, which has been experimentally studied at University of Queensland and Australian National University using a free-piston shock tunnel, was observed around separation region of upstream of the normal injector and inside of cavity. The results show that the separation region and cavity generates several recirculation zones, which increase the fuel-air mixing. Self ignition occurs in the separation-freestream and cavity-freestream interface.

  • 대기중의 악취물질의 분석은 현행 우리나라 악취공정시험법에 고시되어 있으나 복잡한 농축장치를 필요로하고 조작법이 복잡하고 시간이 많이 소요된다. 주요 악취물질로서 암모니아, 메틸머캅탄, 황화수소, 이황화메틸, 아세트알데히드등은 극미량에서(pub) 악취를 발생시키는 악취 주요물질이다. 그러나 이 물질들은 흡착, 반응성이 커서 정확한 분석이 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 간단한 장치로서 시료농축이 가능하며, 간단히 GC injection에 주입, 분석할 수 있는 SPME법을 이용하여 악취물질을 신속하게 분석할 수 있는 분석법을 개발하고저 하였다. 분석방법에 대한 분석재현성, 분석한계를 조사하였으며, 이 분석방법이 앞으로 악취물질분석방법으로 활용될 수 있도록 기본 분석법을 확립하고자 하였다.   • Regenerative burner is a product of new combustion technology for realizing higher thermal efficiency and lower emissions, moreover utilizing very high preheated air temperature up to $1,000^{\circ}C$. In this study the experimental study was carried out to find out a combustion characteristics breaking the old combustion concept. From the variation of configuration of gas nozzle and hot test on the temperature distribution and NOx, CO, it was found out that the performance of regenerative burner was better than that of existing burner, mainly due to the effect of internal gas recirculation.

An active grid for the simulation of atmospheric boundary layers in a wind tunnel

  • A technique for the simulation of atmospheric boundary layers in wind tunnels is developed and tested experimentally. The device consists of a grid made of seven horizontal and vertical evenly distributed bars in which air injection holes are drilled in order to influence the flow in the wind tunnel. The air flow in each bar can be controlled independently. Firstly, the device is used together with a rough carpet, which covers the test section floor, in order to simulate the boundary-layer characteristics over an open rural area. Hot-wire measurements, performed at different positions in the test-section, show the capability of the grid in generating the required boundary layer. An acceptable agreement with statistical values of mean velocity and turbulence profiles has been achieved, together with a good span-wise homogeneity. The results are also compared with those of a passive simulation technique based on the use of spires.

  • The present study has been conducted to simulate dynamics of a gas engine-driven heat pump(GHP) for design of control algorithm. The dynamic modeling of a GHP was based on conservation laws of mass and energy. For automatic control of refrigerant pressures, actuators such as engine speed, outdoor fan, coolant three-way valves and liquid injection valve were PI or P controlled. The simulation results showed physical behavior that is realistic enough to apply for control algorithm design.

평행류 열교환기의 헤더부 형상 최적화

  • The optimum shape of header part in a PFHE (parallel-flow heat exchanger) is studied. The optimal values of each geometric parameter are proposed according to their order of influence with varying the four important parameters (the injection angle of working fluid ($\Theta$), the shape of inlet(S), the location of inlet ($y_c/D_{in}$) and the height of the protruding flat tube ( $y_{b/}$ $D_{in}$ )). The optimal geometric parameters are as follows:$\Theta= -21^{\circ}C,\; S=Type\; A \;an\;y_b/D_{in}$/=0. The heat transfer rate of the optimum model, compared to that of the reference model, is increased by about 55%. The optimal geometric parameters ran be applicable to the Reynolds number ranging from 5,000 to 20,000.0.
