  • 우리나라 전력수요의 지속적인 증가는 발전설비 및 송전망의 동반 성장으로 전력계통 규모가 꾸준히 확장되어 왔다. 그러나 이로 인해 전력계통 고장전류가 증가하는 문제가 발생하여, 그에 대한 대책으로 차단기 교체 등을 시행하고 있다. 이와 관련하여 고객서비스차원에서 한국전력은 전원 측 계통확장으로 인한 차단용량 부족 154kV 이상 수전고객에 대해서 차단기를 교체하도록 차단기 교체을 지원하기로 하였다. 이에 본 논문에서는 한국전력에서 시행하고자 하는 대용량고객 차단기 교체 지원내용에 대하여 알아보고자 한다.

  • In order to realistically represent the complex turbulence-chemistry interaction at the partially premixed turbulent lifted flames encountered in the gas turbine combustors, the combined conserved-scalar/level-set flamelet approach has been adopted. The parallel unstructured-grid finite-volume method has been developed to maintain the geometric flexibility and computational efficiency for the solution of the physically and geometrically complex flows. Special emphasis is given to the swirl effects on the combustion characteristics of the lean-premixed gas turbine combustor. Numerical results suggest that the present approach is capable of realistically simulating the combustion characteristics for the lean-premixed gas turbine engines and the lifted turbulent jet flame with a vitiated coflow.

Development of the Container Damage Inspection System (컨테이너 파손 검사장치의 개발)

  • The damage inspection of container surface is performed by the expert inspectors at the container terminal gate of harbor. In this paper, we substitute the expert's capability with the damage inspection system using the artificial intelligent control algorithm and vision system, so we can improve the work environment and effectively decrease the inspection time and cost. Firstly, using six CCD cameras attached to the terminal gate, whole container is partially captured according to eleven sensors aligned with the entering direction of container. Captured partial images are inspected by the fuzzy system which the expert's technology is embedded. Next, we compose partial images to be a complete container image through the correlation coefficient method. Complete container image is saved to solve future troublesome problems. In this paper, the effectiveness of the proposed system was verified through the field test.

  • Authors have experienced a case of neonatal sepsis whose organisms were group B streptococci. This case was early-onset type and the two premature babies were expired. Autopsy was done but no specific findings were shown in pulmonary parenchyma except focally mild atelectasis and dilated bronchiols and alveoli, and distictive hyaline membrane or aspirated materials are not identified. A brief review follows.

New Geldanamycin Analogs from Streptomyces hygroscopicus

  • Geldanamycin (GM) and its analogs are important anticancer agents that inhibit heat shock protein (Hsp) 90, which is a major chaperone protein in cancer cells. Accordingly, based on interest in obtaining novel natural GM derivatives, the potential of Streptomyces hygroscopicus JCM4427, a GM producer, was explored for novel natural GM derivative(s), resulting in the discovery of new GM analogs as a biosynthetic shunt product and intermediates from its fermentation broth. In this study, the fermentation, isolation, structure determination, and biological activity of the compounds, two new tetracyclic thiazinogeldanamycin (1) and 19-hydroxy-4,5-dihydrogeldanamycin (3), together with the three known 4,5-dihydrothiazinogeldanamycin (2), reblastatin (4), and 17-demethoxy-reblastatin (5), are described.

Ant Algorithm for Dynamic Route Guidance in Traffic Networks with Traffic Constraints (회전 제약을 포함하고 있는 교통 네트워크의 경로 유도를 위한 개미 알고리즘)

  • The objective of this paper is to design the dynamic route guidance system(DRGS) and develop an ant algorithm based on routing mechanism for finding the multiple shortest paths within limited time in real traffic network. The proposed ant algorithm finds a collection of paths between source and destination considering turn-restrictions, U-turn, and P-turn until an acceptable solution is reached. This method can consider traffic constraints easily comparing to the conventional shortest paths algorithms.
