In China, agricultural mechanization has played a remarkable, role in development of agricultural economy. This paper introduces briefly the contribution of agricultural mechanization to agricultural production , the level of mechanization , sciences and research , industry of farm machinery etc., at present. From macro view , aim at year 2000 , the prospects based on estimation concerned with the developing tendency , market demands, research fields are presented . The development of agricultural mechanization in China depends on many factors, in coming years, chance and challenge are coexistent. It wall take a long time for China to realize farm mechanization.

In the path of agricultural development, agricultural mechanization has played some decisive roles such as protecting natural disaster, substitution of labor shortage in agricultural production and so on. In making our country's agricultural mechanization plan, Japanese agricultural mechanization policy has been frequently referred to but it's very hard to find informative data for systematic analysis of the mechanization policy. In this paper it was tried to analyze the resent trend in Japanese agricultural mechanization policy and it's performance with many materials published in Japan. As the results, four things are recommended to be considered in making Korean agricultural mechanization policy. First, faster enlargement of agricultural machinery size in Korea might be very harmful to drop down agricultural production cost. Second, diverse utilization methods of agricultural machniery should be introduced. Third, a marketing of the used agricultural machinery must be activated to reduce agricultural production cost. Lastly, the joint R & D for developing low price agricultural machniery is necessary for small markets.

In this research the heat regenerative technology was employed to eliminate frosting on evaporator coil and improve COP of the heat pump system. This heat regenerative device(HRD) has very simple structure consisting a geared motor and a porous fiber belt passing through alternatively between cold and warm air duct. The laboratory test showed that the heat pump system with HRD yielded an impressive COP higher than 3.5 at the outside air temperature of $-7^{circ}C$ in heating mode.

The standard of agricultural mechanization is one of the important indicators for measuring the realized degrees of agricultural modernization in some regions. The Pearl river delta is most fertile, and thereby reputed as a land of fish and rice in the province. Studying the proceedings, profits and experiences of agricultural mechanization in the region obviously possesses the generally guiding significance for Guangdong to realize agricultural modernization by the year 2010. this paper involves these fields such as duainage, irrigation, harrowing, harvesting, transportation, processing and etc, in the Pearl River Delta, Results show as follows: (1) 80% work load in main production links has been mechanized ; (2) changed took place in traditionally agricultural production means and ways so took place in traditional agricultural production means and ways so that individual farmer in this region became commercial producer and then march toward commodity production of moderniza ion with high yields, good guality and high profits ; (3) further taping production potential to improve land output and labour productivity. Results also show that the degrees of agricultural mechanization in the Pearl River Delta are closely related to government' spolices, finance, moderate land scale management, rural industrialization and machine utility as well as talent training, shortage of which will surely; affect the proceeding of agricultural mechanization. Therefore, government must be urged to guarantee it by preferential policies and financial loan so as to greatly run rural industry, to create conditions for land scale management, to set up the socialized service system of agricultural mechanization, to actively train scientific talents and to introduce advanced equipments and technology from aborad in order to quicken the progress of agricultural mechanization in this regions.

This paper is to review the progress and the present status of mechanization in Korean agriculture and to introduce the development of the various sectors related to developing agricultural mechanization such as production, inspection , marketing , research and development , professional education , after-sales-service and adminstration. In addition, prospect of farm mechanization is also briefly discussed.
