Recent landscape changes from human activities, such as agricultural development and urbanisation frequently result in the loss of habitats, the reduction in habitat patch size and an increasing isolation of habitat patches. However, there is little information on woodland changes in agricultural landscapes. Therefore, the aim of this research was to assess spatial characteristics and changes of woodland in an agricultural landscape and how these may have had an impact on ecological process for 33 years. One of the agricultural landscape character units was analysed based on aerial photographs from 1976, 1983, 1994, 2002 and 2009 in Gwangju city. The results indicated that landscape ecological metrics clearly showed that they could be used to monitor changes of woodland ecological conditions during the past 33 years. The results imply that particularly human activities have been leading to the decrease of the mean size of woodland patches and finally result in woodland isolation. These changes may have a negative impact on woodland bird species in the study area. This woodland information can be used to identify the potential and specific needs for setting priorities for conservation planning.
Purpose: This study was to obtain information regarding to agricultural accidents in farm workers in the Kyungpook area. Methods: A questionnaire survey was carried out for 528 workers from the 1st to 31st of March, 2007. Frequency, percentage, mean and chi-square test with the SPSS program were used to analyze the data. Results: The causes of agricultural accidents include falling(29.0%), overseeing(18.9%), traffic accident(17.4%), putting between machinery(11.7%), crashing(5.3%), fire (0.6%) in the order of frequency. Injuries from agricultural accidents include fracture(44.7%) cerebral bleeding (10.4%), amputation(7.0%), airway obstruction (2.3%) burn(1.9%), drug addiction(1.9%) in the order of frequency. The largest proportion of the subjects of hospital treatment were in their 50s and belonged to the group of high-level economic state. Agricultural machinery collision was the most frequent cause among the subjects of hospital treatment. Conclusion: These results suggest that carelessness can be a potential risk factor for agricultural accidents in farm workers. These findings may give useful information for developing agricultural accident prevention programs for farm workers.
Currently, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) literature has been increasing dramatically, and the increased text amount make it possible to perform large scale text mining and knowledge discovery. Therefore, curation of these texts becomes a crucial issue for Bio-medical Natural Language Processing (BioNLP) community, so as to retrieve the important information about the mechanism of COVID-19. PubAnnotation is an aligned annotation system which provides an efficient platform for biological curators to upload their annotations or merge other external annotations. Inspired by the integration among multiple useful COVID-19 annotations, we merged three annotations resources to LitCovid data set, and constructed a cross-annotated corpus, LitCovid-AGAC. This corpus consists of 12 labels including Mutation, Species, Gene, Disease from PubTator, GO, CHEBI from OGER, Var, MPA, CPA, NegReg, PosReg, Reg from AGAC, upon 50,018 COVID-19 abstracts in LitCovid. Contain sufficient abundant information being possible to unveil the hidden knowledge in the pathological mechanism of COVID-19.

Recent times have seen sustained increases in genetically modified (GM) crops not only for cultivation but also for the utility of food and feed worldwide. Domestically, commercial planting and the accidental or unintentional release of living modified (LM) crops into the environment are not approved. Many detection methods had been devised in an effort to realize effective management of the safety of agricultural genetic resources. In order to develop event-specific polymerase chain reaction (PCR) markers for LM crops, we analyzed the genetic information of LM crops. Genetic components introduced into crops are of key importance to provide a basis for the development of detection methods for LM crops. To this end, a total of 18 varieties from four major LM crop species (maize, canola, cotton, and soybeans) were subjected to an analysis. The genetic components included introduced genes, promoters, terminators and selection markers. Thus, if proper monitoring techniques and single or multiplex PCR strategies that rely on selection markers can be established, such an accomplishment can be regarded as a feasible solution for the safe management of staple crop resources.

In this paper, we investigate joint power allocation and relay selection (PARS) schemes in non-orthogonal cooperative protocol (NOCP) based cognitive relay networks. Generally, NOCP outperforms the orthogonal cooperative protocol (OCP), since it can provide more transmit diversity. However, most existing PARS schemes in cognitive relay networks focus on OCP, which are not suitable for NOCP. In the context of NOCP, we first derive the joint constraints of transmit power limit for secondary user (SU) and interference constraint for primary user (PU). Then we formulate optimization problems under the aforementioned constraints to maximize the capacity of SU in amplify-and-forward (AF) and decode-and-forward (DF) modes, respectively. Correspondingly, we derive the closed form solutions with respect to different parameters. Numerical results are provided to verify the performance improvement of the proposed PARS schemes.

The purpose of this study is to improve ability of GASS using diverse communication layers of material and information. GASS is a dynamic system simulator developed for analyzing complex agricultural system. However, it had two difficulties which are inefficient modeling of information transmission and complicated implementation of material transmission. This paper proposes dual communication layers which consist of material and information to overcome the hardship and applies intake tower component which controls amount of irrigation using water requirement in paddy to an irrigation system model. The application focused on available information communication and correctable material communication.

Land suitability assessment for apples and pears was conducted with soil and climate information in South Korea. In doing so, we intended to preserve land and increase the productivity by providing valuable information regarding where more suitable areas for apples or pears are located. We used soil classification driven by soil environmental information system developed by National Institute of Agricultural Science, RDA, and also used climate classification in digital agro-climate map database for which is made by National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science. We combined both soil and climate classification results using a most-limiting characteristic method. The combined results showed very similar patterns with the results by classification based on soil information. Such results seem to come from the fact that the classification results by soil relatively lower than those by climate information. The results by soil classification seem to be too downgraded and checking if the final classification ranges in soil are reasonably made is strongly required. Although the most limiting characteristic method had been used widely in land suitability assessment, adapting the method based on results by soil and climate can be influenced by one downgraded factor. Therefore, alternative ways should be carefully considered for increasing the accuracy.

After the import liberalization of agricultural products, The Imported agricultural products rapidly increased market share of domestic agricultural products. But Imported agricultural products include various agricultural chemicals and food additives. In order to improve competitiveness in domestic markets of farmhouses and to secure food safety, the farmers needs to introduce Systematic support and various system. In this paper, established system that use Monitoring technology, to inform production information and management information about agricultural products to consumer by real time. Therefore unused analog camera such as CCTV(Closed-Circuit Television) for real time Monitoring. This system Used web camera that offer picture quality that is good than CCTV at place that consists network without distinction in the place. An advantage of real time Monitoring system designed multi-vision interface showing multi images on single screen and, for the purpose of the improvement in efficiency, the functions of saving images and of scheduling the time to save the images.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the entire processes of rural amenity resources survey from the beginning to the end, to discuss the results of the survey and resources information establishment, and to comprehensively analyze the status of resources information application. Rural amenity resources survey, which is aimed at finding rural amenity resources to respond to the demands of the resources and support rural development, was first conducted by National Academy of Agricultural Science under Rural Development Administration in 2005. The first survey subjects were 149 eups and myeons in Korea, expanding to the nationwide rural villages. In 2012, the rural amenity resources survey was completed. Next year, the information establishment was completely made. It is expected that the rural amenity resources information established by the survey will be more applied and used, and that with the constant addition of new analyses in line with the changing environment demands, rural amenity resources will contribute to dynamic rural development.
