기존의 단순한 객체를 이용한 중앙집중형 망관리 시스템이 가지는 단점들을 극복하고자 분산객체를 이용하는 Dynamic Object플랫폼이 대안으로 제안되었고 다양한 분산객체 기술, 즉 CORBA나 Java-RMI를 이용한 분산 망 관리 시스템들이 구현되었다. 그후 CORBA기반이나 Java-RMI 기반의 시스템들이 가지지 못했던 시스템의 확장성과 유연성을 제공하기 위해 MAs(Mobile Agents) 기반의 플랫폼이 제시되었으나 MAs 사용으로 추가적으로 발샐 할 수 있는 트래픽의 문제, NEI(Network Element)의 리소스 관리 문제 등을 고려 해야 한다. 본 논문의 주제는 바로 이 MAs를 이용한 망관리를 하는데 있어 보다 더 효율적인 구조를 연구했으며 이러한 장점들을 바탕으로 MAs가 이동할 때 발생할 수 있는 트래픽의 최소화 방안, NE의 효율적인 리소스 관리 및 업무 수행 능력의 향상을 위해서 TMN의 Information Architecture를 사용하여 에이전트를 설계하였다.

In a centralized database system, all system components reside at a single platform. In recent years there has been a rapid trend toward the integration of information systems over multiple sites that are interconnected via a communication network, and users' needs are changed to integration of multiple information sites. Multi database System is one of solutions for integrating distributed heterogeneous databases. However the problems in multi database system are restriction in distributed environment support, limitation in integrating heterogeneous media type data, static integration, and data-only of integration. In order to solve these problems, we propose a hybrid database integration model, HyDIM. HyDIM is used for the integrating legacy multimedia data, adopting CORBA, MDS, and mediator. We demonstrate a prototype system far PDM application domain.

Web-based simulation is one of the most interesting field of simulation research today. Among many research area of web-based simulation, we concern about what a effective way of building simulation model is since creating comprehensive simulation models can be expensive and time consuming. So this paper discusses how to integrate distributed simulation sub-models as objects for constructing the required simulation model which is more large and complex. We introduce two web-oriented methodologies (such as JIDL, CORBA) and the concepts of agent for assisting modelers to integrate simulation models scattered over the web. SINDBAD, which we designed, is a simulation environment which makes it possible constructing a simulation model with distributed model objects on the web and performing the parallel simulation in a distributed way. It is organized according to design patterns in the object oriented concept. Actually we are on the premise that all the distributed objects are originally composed in a CORBA-compatible way to start with our prototype of SINDBAD.

기존 푸시 기술의 제품들이 가지는 상호 운용성을 해결하기 위한 CORBA 기반의 푸시 에이전트 모델(CPAM: CORBA-based Push Agen Model)은 사용자 요구에 적합한 정보만을 수집한 후 이를 사용자에게 전송하여주는 에이전트 프레임웍(Framework)이다. 이러한 푸시 에이전트는 푸시 에이전트 서버가 제공하는 정보의 양과 종류, 그리고 이를 이용하는 동시 사용자 수가 증가함에 다라 서버 시스템의 과부하 및 네트워크 트래픽의 증가가 초래된다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 푸시 에이전트 모델에 캐싱 기법을 적용함으로써 자주 요청되어지는 동일한 데이터에 대한 서버 시스템의 과부하를 감소시키도록 한다. 또한 클라이언트 푸시 에이전트의 상태 정보와 주제 분류에 따른 검색 키워드를 포함하고 있는 사용자 프로파일을 통해 효율적인 캐쉬 메모리 접근을 제공하도록 한다.

본 논문에서는 인트라넷환경에서 허가된 사용자만이 개체에 접근할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 역할기반 접근제어 정책을 이용하였다. 이러한 방법은 사용자와 데이터 사이의 권한부여의 복잡성을 감소시킨다. 또한 역할을 지역역할 및 전역역할로 구성하고 접근제어 연산 및 역할의 갱신에 따른 절차를 구현하였다. 구현을 위하여 분산객체 컴퓨팅 환경의 객체 요청중개자 CORBA/ORB를 이용하였다.

분산 환경에서 네트워크 관리 시스템을 구현하기 위한 연구가 오래 전부터 진행되어 왔다. 기존의 경우 CORBA, Java의 RMI와 네트워크 관리 시스템을 연동하여 게이트웨이를 만들거나 보편적인 인터페이스인 웹 기반의 관리 시스템이 연구되었다. 또 웹 기반의 관리 시스템은 WBEM, JMAPI 등으로 표준화하려는 노력이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 관리 시스템이 가지는 문제점을 해결하기 위해 Jini 기반 SNMP 에이전트의 구조를 제안한다. 본 시스템은 기존 시스템이 폴링 기반이어서 발생하는 자원 낭비를 배제하여 성능 개선이 예상된다.

본 논문에서는 CORBA(Common Object Request Architecture)기반의 TINA(Telecommunications Information Networking Architecture) 분산체계에서 통신망 하부 장비들이 SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) 혹은 TMN(Telecommunications Management Network) 체계로 혼재되어 관리되는 네트워크의 NE(Network Element)들을 효율적으로 통합 관리할 수 있는 Generic Interface Adaptor(GIA)를 제안하고 이를 설계 및 구현하였다. GIA는 message mapping, protocol conversion 및 DBMS를 이용한 Object Abstract Translation(OAT)을 통해서 각 관리체계에 맞도록 관리정보를 변환시키며, 이를 통해 TINA EML(Element Management Layer) component와 SNMP NE agent 간의 상호연동을 가능하게 한다.

An efficient management of product information is critical to the enhancement of corporate competitiveness. Product information is often distributed in term of organization, geography, and time. With the rapid increase in the use of Internet or its associated Web and intranets, it has been accelerating to integrate the distributed information. In this research, a Distributed, Open, Intelligent Product data Management system, namely DOI-PDM, is developed. This system deals with product information following the STEP standard, and its operation is controlled by a Web-based workflow management system. CORBA is employed to ensure interoperability among distributed objects. It is intended to achieve openness by using various standards, such s STEP, KQML, SGML, and WfMC specifications. One major difficulty in managing it needs also be properly modified according to the dynamics. It however is very hard to have a prior anticipation to the dynamics. It however is very hard to have a prior anticipation to the modification requirements in practice. We introduce a process adaptation model and a use of intelligent agent technology. An agent is delegated to modify process definitions during run-time. A method of agent implementation and a proper communication scheme among te agents are proposed. Also developed in this research is a STEP-based content search system which can co-work with the agents by providing relevant product information that the agents require.

This paper proposes a RTWM (Real-Time Web Middleware) framework for real-time EC(Electronic Commerce) systems. RTWM system is extended the existing COS( CORBA Object Service) model added to the event monitoring, real-time scheduler, real-time event filtering for supporting real-time concept of EC systems. Especially, this paper is concentrated on providing suitable event filtering function for EC system in order to meed various user time requirements under distributed system environment. It stores time constraint requirements an interesting event information input from users into QoS repository, then processes the data through appropriate RTFA(Real-Time Filtering Agent) module when real-time events occur. From this method, users can get the filtered event result reflected their requirements about real-time filtering. It means this system provides thigh QoS to users. In addition, it results in decreasing network traffic as unnecessary event information is filtered from network.
