  • The present research intends to examine the relationship between the Big Five personality traits and leadership initiations among the marketing executives in Delhi NCR (INDIA), and seeks to uncover the predictors of leadership initiations within personality traits. The data are collected through online survey method using different social media platforms. A sample of 233 (male =136 and female =97) marketing executive's responses were included. The data collected with the help of self-reported Big Five model inventory and leadership initiation test. The collected data were analyzed statistically by using descriptive statistics, correlation. and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results revealed that the age of respondents inversely correlated with leadership initiation. Neuroticism revealed significant inverse correlation with leadership initiation, whereas significant positive correlations were found between extraversion, conscientiousness, agreeableness, and leadership initiations, while openness to experience revealed insignificant positive correlation with leadership initiation. Extraversion and conscientiousness appeared as the most dominant personality traits among marketing executives, irrespective of gender, that positively influenced leadership initiation and appeared as the predictor of leadership initiation. In male executives extraversion and age emerged as the predictors of leadership behavior, while in female executives extraversion and openness to experience personality traits appeared as the predictors of leadership initiation.

  • In order to epidemiologically verify the tensile that cervical abfraction is developed from the tensile stress during lateral excursion, comparisons between the experimental group with cervical abfraction and the control group without cervical abfaction was made by exmining the occlusal wear and patterns from the dental cast. 1. The degree of occlusal wear in the experimental group with cervical abfraction was higher than that of control group without cervical abfraction.(p<0.05) 2. No significant difference in the occlusal wear pattern was found between the experimental group and the control group. 3. Higher degree of occlusal wear was found in the age group of abov 40 than that of below 40.(p<0.05) 4. There was a correlation between the degree of occlusal wear and the degree of cevical abfraction.(p<0.05) 5. There was a correlation between the age and the degree of cevical abfraction.(p<0.05) It can be concluded that occlusal stress is the etiologic factor of cervical abfraction, but no clear distinction was made between the relationship of tensile stress and cervical abfraction.

  • Objectives Standardization of head size is essential for the volume study. Cortical thickness analyses are increasingly being used in many fields of neuroscience. However, it is not established whether head size correction should be done for thickness study. Methods Using the Open Access Series of Imaging Studies data, we determined cortical thickness of 316 cognitively normal participants aged 18-94 with FreeSurfer. The association between head size and cortical thickness of whole cortical mantle and in each lobe among age tertile groups was assessed. Estimated total intracranial volume (eTIV) was calculated for determining head size. Results Across all participants, cortical thickness in whole brain except some areas in cingulate and insula decreased with aging. eTIV had positive correlation with the thickness of frontal, parietal, occipital and whole brain areas. However, the age effect was not shown in whole brain of the first tertile group and in cingulate areas of the third tertile group. eTIV had negative correlation with the thickness of cingulate in the third tertile group. Gender effects were shown in some areas in third tertile group, but it would be due to difference of head size. Conclusions These findings suggest that head size standardization might be done especially in older population and in studies of paralimbic areas.
