  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the value of the center of age-friendly goods to confirm the public value of the center. 152 elderly participants, either who have utilized the center themselves or who have experienced the center indirectly through the image have participated in the study. The experience of age-friendly product center was evaluated by the contingent valuation method, which is widely used in the public services. A double-bounded dichotomous choice (DB-DC) log-logistic model and a log-normal model were conducted. As the result of the estimation, the truncated mean of the log-logistic model was 3,401 Korean won, with the mean of 4,937 won. In addition, the truncated mean of the log-normal model was 3,433 won, with the mean of 4,144 won. Elderly who have not experienced the center placed a higher value on the center, compared to the experienced elderly. The results imply the necessity to enlarge the opportunity for future suppliers to experience the center for age-friendly products, in order to improve their objective understandings. In addition, the necessity of expanding exhibition products and applying age-friendly designs is proposed, to offer various attractive experiences to elderly.

  • The study aims to find out and examine the variables that make a difference between pre-service teachers' child care efficacy (CCE) and general self-efficacy (GSE). The subjects were 232 pre-service child care teachers going to an educational institution and a college. The results are as follows. First, the variables of "age", "teacher training facilities", "field experience in child care centers", and "experience of child care" and "paraprofessional teachers" are important variables in pre-service teachers' CCE. Second, the variables of "age", "level of education", "teacher training facilities", "field experience in child care center", and "experience of child care or paraprofessional teachers" significantly affect the pre-service teachers' GSE. Third, the "age" variable is essential in explaining pre-service teachers' GSE. The Pre-service teachers' GSE is significantly related to the pre-service teachers' CCE.

Third, The age, job and sex of objects showed no meaningful difference in the part of the appreciation to results of service, where as the system of health scurity and the experience of former treatment in other center showed meaningful difference. To offer the effective physical therapy, the government of province or nation should invest the large amount of financial fund continuously and make the plan of efficient operating system for the physical therapy service room of public health center which is the most nearly located to native citizen. • This study was conducted as the primary work to develop a customer relationship management (CRM) system to improve the performance of health screening programs. The specific aims of the study was to identify and classify the characteristics of the people who did not receive their health screening using decision trees and to propose management strategies according to their characteristics identified. The data on a total of 5,102,761 subjects of health screening provided by the National Health Insurance Program in the year of 2002 were used. The target variable was whether they underwent their health screening. The input variables included a total of 27. The SAS 9.1 version was used for data preprocessing and statistical analyses. SAS Enterprise Miner was used to develop the decision trees model. The decision trees identified the factors greatly affecting the health screening. In the non-disease group, the highest rate of non-examinees was characterized by: no experience of receiving a health screen, household's age, non-insured episode for the last one year, and patients' age. In the disease group, the one showing the highest rate of non-examinees was characterized by: no experience of receiving a health screening, no experience of going to public health center or midwife clinic for the last one year, and examinees' age. Developing CRM systems for health screening management taking into account the individual characteristics would be considerably helpful to increase the rate of receiving health screening.
