$SrTiO_3$ 세라믹 전극에 의한 광전기 화학변환 (Photoelectrochemical Converision with $SrTiO_3$ Ceramic Electrodes)

  • The phtoelectrochemical porperties of $Nb_2O_5$, $Sb_2O_3$ and $V_2O_5$ doped and pure $SrTiO_3$ ceramic electodes were investigated. Shapes of I-V and I-λ characteristics of the pure $SrTiO_3$ ceramic electrode are similar to those of SrTiO3 single crystal electorde ; the anodic current strats at -0.9V (vs. Ag/AgCI) in 1 N-NaOH aqueous solution and the photoresponse appears at a wavelength of about 390nm and the quantum efficiency is about 3.5% at wavelength of 390nm under 0.5V vs. Ag/AgCl. Photocurrents of $Nb_2O_5$, $Sb_2O_3$ and $V_2O_5$ doped electrodes and $V_2O_5$ doped ceramic electrode appears at wavelength of 390nm and 500nm respectively.

  • Photodiffusion of silver into chalcogenide thin film is one of the most interesting effects that occurs in chalcogenide glass as it theatrically changes the properties of the initial material and forms a ternary. Programmable Metallization Cell(PMC) Randon Access Memory use for photodiffusion of mobile metal is based on the electrochemical growth and removal of nanoscale metallic pathway in thin film of solid electrolyte. This paper investigates the annling properties on Ag-doped $Ge_{25}Se_{75}$ thin film structure and describes the electrical characteristics of PMC-RAM. The composition of the intercalation products containing Ag is confirmed using X-ray diffraction which shows the formation of Ag-doped $Ge_{25}Se_{75}$.

  • Lead-free $0.9(Na_{0.52}K_{0.48})NbO_3$ - $0.1LiTaO_3$ piezoelectric ceramics doped with $Ag_2O$ (0-4 mol%) have been prepared by the conventional mixed oxide method. The structural and electrical properties were analyzed in order to find its potential applications. The crystal structure of 1-4 mol% Ag doped $0.9(Na_{0.52}K_{0.48})NbO_3$-$0.1LiTaO_3$ lead free piezoelectric ceramics were investigated for several sintering temperatures ($1100^{\circ}C$) by the use of X-ray diffraction analysis. In order to analyze the effect of Ag dopants on the $0.9(Na_{0.52}K_{0.48})NbO_3$-$0.1LiTaO_3$ ceramic, the diffraction intensity ratio of the (002) to (200) planes were calculated from the X-ray diffraction patterns of the ceramic samples.

  • Ag doped Hydroxyapatite powder in nano-scale was successfully synthesized either by co-precipitation or by ion exchange route. The fabricated powder was successfully dispersed through freeze drying due to the prevention of secondary particles. The antimicrobial effects of nano-HAp against E.coli was superior to micron ones not only in its strength but also in duration.

Study on Properties of Ag and PbO Doped $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$

  • A proposed way to prepare $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$ wires or tapes is that Ag is used as substrate and melting point of $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$ is decreased to lower than the melting point of silver ($961\;^{\circ}C$). Therefore after the deposition of $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$ film on Ag substrate, the heat treatment can be carried out below the Ag melting point. Silver (Ag) and Lead oxide(PbO) were selected to be additives for $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$. Different Ag and PbO contents were added in $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$, the melting points of which were measured by DTA. In order to guarantee that the superconductivity of $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$ was not reduced after Ag and PbO added into $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$, their superconductivities were measured. It is proved that as additives, both Ag and PbO can reduce the melting point of $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$. For Ag doped $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$, $T_c$ is about 93K and ${\Delta}Tc$ is $2{\sim}3K$. For PbO doped $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$, $T_c$ is $88K{\sim}92K$ and ${\Delta}T_c$ is $11{\sim}12K$. When 10 wt% of Ag and 10 wt% PbO were added in $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$, the melting point of the mixture of $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$ (80 wt%), Ag (10 wt%) and PbO (l0 wt%) is $943^{\circ}C$. The transition temperatures ($T_c$) of the sample is 91.8 K.

Ag/ZnO-rGO 하이브리드 나노구조 기반 C2H2 가스센서의 제작과 그 특성 (Fabrication of C2H2 Gas Sensors Based on Ag/ZnO-rGO Hybrid Nanostructures and Their Characteristics)

  • In this work, pure hierarchical ZnO structure was prepared using a simple hydrothermal method, and Ag nanoparticles doped hierarchical ZnO structure was synthesized uniformly through photochemical route. The reduced graphene oxide (rGO) has been synthesized by typical Hummer's method and reduced by hydrazine. Prepared Ag/ZnO nanostructures are uniformly dispersed on the surface of rGO sheets using ultrasonication process. The synthesized samples were characterized by SEM, TEM, EDS, XRD and PL spectra. The average size of prepared ZnO microspheres was around $2{\sim}3{\mu}m$ and showed highly uniform. The average size of doped-Ag nanoparticles was 50 nm and decorated into ZnO/rGO network. The $C_2H_2$ gas sensing properties of as-prepared products were investigated using resistivity-type gas sensor. Ag/ZnO-rGO based sensors exhibited good performances for $C_2H_2$ gas in comparison with the Ag/ZnO. The $C_2H_2$ sensor based on Ag/ZnO-rGO had linear response property from 3~1000 ppm of $C_2H_2$ concentration at working temperature of $200^{\circ}C$. The response values with 100 ppm $C_2H_2$ at $200^{\circ}C$ were 22% and 78% for Ag/ZnO and Ag/ZnO-rGO, respectively. In additions, the sensor still shows high sensitivity and quick response/recovery to $C_2H_2$ under high relative humidity conditions. Moreover, the device shows excellent selectivity towards to $C_2H_2$ gas at optimal working temperature of $200^{\circ}C$.

Impedance spectroscopy analysis of the $Li_2CO3$ doped $(Ba,Sr)TiO_3$ thick films

  • In this study, we have fabricated the 3 wt% $Li_2CO3$ doped $(Ba,Sr)TiO_3$ thick films on the Ag/Pd printed $Al_2O_3$ substrates for the LTCCs (Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics) applications. From the X-ray diffraion analysis, 3 wt% $Li_2CO3$ doped BST thick films on the Ag/Pd printed $Al_2O_3$ substrates, which sintered at 900 $^{\circ}C$ have perovskite structure without any pyro phase. The dielectric properties of 3 wt% $Li_2CO3$ doped BST thick films were measured from 1 kHz to 1 MHz. To investigate the electrical properties of 3 wt% $Li_2CO3$ doped BST thick films, we employed the impedance spectroscopy. The complex impedance of 3 wt% $Li_2CO3$ doped BST thick films were measured from 20 Hz to 1 MHz at the various temperatures.

  • Effects of $Ag_2O$ doping on the electromagnetic properties in the BiSrCaCuO superconductors. The electromagnetic properties of $Ag_2O$ doped and undoped BiSrCaCuO superconductor were evaluated to investigate the contribution of the pinning centers to the magnetic effect. It was confirmed experimentally that a large amount of magnetic flux was trapped in the $Ag_2O$ doped sample than that in the undoped one, indicating that the pinning centers of magnetic flux are related closely to the occurrence of the magnetic effect. It is considered that the area where normal conduction takes place increases by adding $Ag_2O$ and the magnetic flux penetrating through the sample increases. The results suggested that Ag acts to increase pinning centers of magnetic flux, contributing to the occurrence of the electromagnetic properties.
