폴리올 공정과 액상 환원 공정에 따른 은 입자 제조 및 특성 평가 (Fabrication and Characterization of Ag Particles by Polyol Process and Wet Chemical Process)

  • Ag nanoparticles are extensively studied and utilized due to their excellent catalysis, antibiosis and optical properties. They can be easily synthesized by chemical reduction methods and it is possible to prepare particles of uniform size and high purity. These methods are divided into vapor methods and liquid phase reduction methods. In the present study, Ag particles are prepared and analyzed through two chemical reduction methods using solvents containing a silver nitrate precursor. When Ag ions are reduced using a reductant in the aqueous solution, it is possible to control the Ag particle size by controlling the formic acid ratio. In addition, in the Polyol process, Ag nanoparticles prepared at various temperatures and reaction time conditions have multiple twinned and anisotropic structures, and the particle size variation can be confirmed using field emissions scanning electron microscopy and by analyzing the UV-vis spectrum.

  • In order to fabricate the multilayer piezoelectric transformer by tape casting method, we investigated the effect of $TiO_2$ and PZT powder additions on the Ag/Pd electrode. Meanwhile, effects of $TiO_2$ and PZT powder additives on the microstructure and electrical properties of Ag/Pd electrode were investigated in detail. In addition, the multilayer piezoelectric transformers were fabricated and the characteristics with various load resistance were measured at resonance frequency. The voltage step-up ratio was continuously change with increasing input voltage and load resistance, and then output voltage and powers were increased with increasing input voltage at matching impedance. The temperature rise of multilayer piezoelectric transformers were increased with increasing input voltage and load resistance. Meanwhile, multilayer piezoelectric transformers sintered at $1100^{\circ}C$ show the favorable characteristics with a power of 15 W at $100\;{\Omega}$.

  • YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{x}$ samples with different amounts of $Y_2$BaCuO$_{5}$ were prepared by MPMG (Melt Powder Melt Growth) method. The effects on the size of initial particles and Ag addition for $Y_2$BaCuO$_{5}$ distribution in YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{x}$ were invesgated. The samples prepared by the melting process usually have large grains up to several ㎣ and precipitates of $Y_2$BaCuO$_{5}$. The distribution of the $Y_2$BaCuO$_{5}$ particles in the samples depends on the size of initial particles and the amounts of Ag addition.Ag addition.

  • 함은 폐재의 리싸이클링을 위한 연구의 일환으로써 Hydrazine Hydrate을 환원제로 사용하여 질산은 수용액으로부터 Ag 나노분말을 제조하기 위한 실험을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 질산은을 소정 농도로 증류수에 용해시킨 수용액에 Ag 미립자의 응집방지를 위한 분산제로써 Tamol NN8906 혹은 Tween 20을 미리 혼합한 다음 환원제인 Hydrazine Hydrate 용액을 첨가하는 방법으로 환원반응을 실시하였다. 환원반응을 통하여 제조한 Ag 미립자는 입도분석기 및 TEM 측정을 통하여 형상과 평균입도를 측정하였다. Hydrazine Hydrate에 의한 은의 환원을 위해서는 이론치의 약 2배를 첨가해 주어야 하는 것으로 나타났으며, Tamol NN8906을 분산제로 사용하여 제조한 Ag 나노분발은 매우 좁은 입도범위의 분포특성을 보여 주었다. Tween 20을 분산제로 사용한 경우의 입도 분포는 bimodal 혹은 multimodal distribution을 보였으며, 입자 모양에 있어서는 Tamol NN8906과 Tween 20이 모두 비슷하게 표면이 매끄러운 불규칙한 모양의 입자들로 구성되어 있었다.

  • YBa2Cu3Ox-Ag(YBCO-Ag) thick films were fabricated on the zirconia substrate by a screen printing method. The starting powder was a mixture of YBCO, prepared by a coprecipitation in oxalic acid, and Ag2O. The influence of heat treatment conditions on properties of thick films was investigated. It was observed that Jc of thick films was directly proportional to the orientation factor of thick films and the optimimum preparation condition was the heat treatment of thick films at 100$0^{\circ}C$ for 3 min in O2. The improvement of Jc by the addition of Ag was considered as a result of the suppression of microcracks in the films.

Plasma spray 공정을 이용한 BCuP-5 filler 금속/Ag 기판 복합 소재의 제조, 미세조직 및 접합 특성 (Fabrication, Microstructure and Adhesive Properties of BCuP-5 Filler Metal/Ag Plate Composite by using Plasma Spray Process)

  • In this study, we fabricate a thin- and dense-BCuP-5 coating layer, one of the switching device multilayers, through a plasma spray process. In addition, the microstructure and macroscopic properties of the coating layer, such as hardness and bond strength, are investigated. Both the initial powder feedstock and plasma-sprayed BCuP-5 coating layer show the main Cu phase, Cu-Ag-Cu3P ternary phases, and Ag phase. This means that microstructural degradation does not occur during plasma spraying. The Vickers hardness of the coating layer was measured as 117.0 HV, indicating that the fine distribution of the three phases enables the excellent mechanical properties of the plasma-sprayed BCuP-5 coating layer. The pull-off strength of the plasma-sprayed BCuP-5 coating layer is measured as 16.5 kg/㎠. Based on the above findings, the applicability of plasma spray for the fabrication process of low-cost multi-layered electronic contact materials is discussed and suggested.

Ag와 $Y_2BaCuO_5$ 가 고온초전도체의 임계특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Ag and $Y_2BaCuO_5$ on Critical Characteristics of $YBa_2Cu_3O_X$ Fabricated by MPMG Method)

  • $YBa_2Cu_3O_X$ samples were fabricated by MPMG(Melt Powdered Melt Growth). Intitial composition of the mixed powders were prepared as follow ; $YBa_2Cu_3O_X$ : $Y_2BaCuO_5$ = 1:0, 1:0.2, 1:0.3, 1:0.4. After the first melt and cooling, 5wt% to 20wt% fo Ag power was added to the powder. Effects of the different initial $Y_2BaCuO_5$ and Ag addition amount on $J_c$ and magnetization of $YBa_2Cu_3O_X$ fabricated by MPMG method were investigated. The critical current density increased with the amount of $Y_2BaCuO_5$ and Ag. It was also observed that the difference between negative and positive magnetization in the magnetization hysteresis measurement at 77K was larger than the case where $Y_2BaCuO_5$and Ag were not added to the $YBa_2Cu_3O_X$ powders. It is concluded that $Y_2BaCuO_5$ sample with 40wt% amount of $Y_2BaCuO_5$ and 20wt% amount of Ag has not only the largest $J_c$ but also the improved pinning effect.

  • The influence of sulfate on the selective catalytic reduction of $NO_x$ on the Ag/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst was studied when $CH_4$ was used as a reducing agent. Various preparation methods influenced differently on the $deNO_x$ activity. Among the methods, cogelation precipitation gave best activity. When sulfates were formed on the surfaces of samples prepared by impregnated and deposition precipitation, $deNO_x$ activity was enhanced as long as suitable forming condition is satisfied. The major sulfate formed in Ag/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst was the aluminum sulfate and it seems that this sulfate acted as a promoter. When Mg was added to the Ag/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst it promoted $deNO_x$ activity at high temperature. Intentionally added sulfate also enhanced $deNO_x$ activity, when their amount was confined less than 3 wt%.

PMN-PT-BT/Ag/MgO 나노복합체의 제조 및 유전 특성 (Preparation of PMN-PT-BT/Ag/MgO Nanocomposite and Dielectric Properties)

  • 소결온도가 $1200{\circ}C$인 PMN-PT-BT에 소량의 $AgNO_3$와 MgO 졸을 첨가하여 $950{\circ}C$ 소결로 PMN-PT-BT/Ag/MgO 나노복합체를 제조하였다. Modified mixed oxide 방법으로 제조된 저온 소결용 PMN-PT-BT/Ag 분말을 $600{\circ}C$/1h 하소한 다음 MgO 졸을 0-1.0wt% 첨가하여, 산소 분위기에서 $850-950{\circ}C$에서 4시간 소결하여 MgO 졸의 첨가량과 소결온도에 따른 미세구조의 발달과 유전특성을 조사하였다. MgO 졸이 0.5wt% 첨가되고, $950{\circ}C$에서 소결하여 얻은 PMN-PT-BT/Ag/MgO(0.5wt%) 소결체는 $1-3{\mu}m$의 입의 크기에 $0.1-0.3{\mu}m$의 MgO가 2차상을 입경, 삼중접, 입내에 분포되어 있음을 SEM으로 볼 수 있었으며, Ag는 SIMS로 << $1{\mu}m$로 분포되어 있음을 정성적으로 확인하였다. 상대소결밀도 99%, 실온유전율 17200, 유전손실 2.1%, 비저항 $5.46{\times}10^{12}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$의 특성을 나타내었다. 그러나 MgO 졸이 첨가되지 않은 PMN-PT-BT/Ag/MgO(0 wt%)의 $950{\circ}C$ 소결체는 상대 소결밀도 99.5%, 상온유전율 19500, 유전손실 2.1%, 비저항 $7.30{\times}10^{12}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$의 좀더 높은 특성을 나타내었다.

  • 고순도 동 제조를 위해 황산동 전해액중에 존재하는 은(Ag)을 제거하기 위한 기초연구를 실시하였다. 이온교환수지법, 활성탄 흡착법, 구리분말 및 세선을 이용한 치환법, CuS침전법 등을 이용하여 Ag제거에 대한 실험을 실시하였으며, 은(Ag)제거 반응에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 반응온도, 반응시간, 첨가량 등에 대해 고찰하였다. 이들 방법중 CuS 침전법과 Lewatit TP214를 이용한 이온교환수지 방법이 효과적이었는데 특히 Lewatit TP214를 사용한 경우 초기 동전해액중, Ag 농도가 10ppm서 0.1ppm 이하 수준까지 제거가 가능하였다.
