  • The U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) first developed ADVISOR in 1994. Between 1998 and 2003 it was downloaded by more than 7,000 individuals, corporations, and universities world-wide. In early 2003 NREL initiated the commercialisation of ADVISOR through a public solicitation. AVL responded and was awarded the exclusive rights to license and distribute ADVISOR world-wide. AVL is committed to continuously enhance ADVISOR's capabilities. Provides rapid analysis of the performance and fuel economy of conventional and advanced, light and heavy-duty vehicle models as well as hybrid electric and fuel cell vehicle models. 바이모달 트램의 추진장치 성능 모의 (A Simulation Study of the Performance of a Propulsion Equipment for Bimodal Tram)

  • 바이모달 수송시스템 연구단에서 개발중인 트램은 자동운전이 가능하고 일반도로와 전용구간을 주행할 수 있는 고무차륜방식의 저상굴절 바이모달 트램으로서, 압축천연가스 엔진과 리튬폴리머 배터리를 사용하는 직렬형 하이 브리드 추진계로 구동된다. 본 논문에서는 바이모달 트램의 직렬형 하이브리드 추진장치의 요구사양을 제시하고 하이브리드 추진제어방식에 관해 설명한다. 하이브리드 차량 시뮬레이션 툴인 ADVISOR를 사용하여 기준 주행사이클과 일본의 10-15 mode에 대한 바이모달 트램의 주행을 모의하고, CNG 하이브리드 추진계에 대한 성능을 분석한다.

  • This research presents a simulation for the fuel economy of parallel diesel hybrid vehicle. Diesel engines compared to gasoline engines have the advantages of higher fuel economy and lower $CO_2$ emission. One of the most ways to meet future fuel economy and emissions regulation is to combine diesel engine technology with a hybrid electric vehicle. The simulation of HEV is growing need for rapid analysis of the many configurations and component options. WAVE, a one-dimensional engine analysis tool, was used to a 2.7L diesel engine. ADVISOR, designed for rapid analysis of the performance and fuel economy of vehicle models, was used to conventional and hybrid electric vehicle by the use of output file from WAVE as the input engine data file for ADVISOR. A parallel diesel HEV is at least $19.7{\sim}36%$ higher fuel economy and improved acceleration ability compared to a conventional diesel vehicle. The energy loss of the parallel diesel HEV is $23{\sim}38%$ less than the conventional vehicle using regeneration.

  • 본 논문은 모델 기반 내장형 소프트웨어의 자동 생성 코드에 대한 효율적인 신뢰성 시험 절차와 구체화된 동적 시험 방안에 대해서 제시하고 있다. 모델 정적/동적 시험 각각을 코드 정적/동적 시험 전에 수행함으로서 코드 신뢰성 시험 수행의 이점이 있음을 기술하였다. 또한, 모델과 코드의 신뢰성 시험 상관관계를 모델의 경우 Model Advisor와 Verification and Validation tool, 코드의 경우 Polyspace와 LDRA를 이용하여 살펴보고 제시한 절차대로 수행한 신뢰성 시험의 결과를 보여주고 있다.

  • This Paper focuses on modeling and simulation to analyze the characteristic of hybrid vehicle. The system includes proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC), photovoltaic generator(PV), lead-acid battery, motor, vehicle and controller. Main electricity is produced by the PEMFC and battery to meet the requirements of a user load. When vehicle is parked in a sunny place, extra power is generated by the photovotaics and is charged in a battery for next drive. Further we evaluate usefulness of this hybrid vehicle by using ADVISOR - the advanced vehicle simulator written in the Matlab/Simulink environment. According to simulation results, the extra power obtained by photovoltaics which have been explored in nature conditions can help to reduce the electrical load of PEMFC and increase the efficiency (over 30%).

  • A bimodal low-floor tram is designed to provide the flexibility of bus and the punctuality of trains together to the passengers. Its propulsion system is a series hybrid type using a set of CNG engine generator and Li-polymer battery. The present paper describes the specifications of the propulsion system in the bimodal tram which was drawn by a desirable driving cycle. In addition, it shows how the propulsion system of the bimodal tram can be controlled. With using a computer simulation tool of hybrid vehicles, ADVISOR, the performance of the bimodal tram was verified.

  • Recently, the trend of zero emissions has increased in automotive engineering because of environmental problems and regulations. Therefore, the development of battery electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid/plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs/PHEVs), and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) has been mainstreamed. In particular, for light-duty electric vehicles, improvement in electric motor performance is directly linked to driving range and driving performance. In this paper, using an improved design for the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM), the EV driving range for the light-duty EV was extended. In the electromagnetic design process, a 2D finite element method (FEM) was used. Furthermore, to consider mechanical stress, ANSYS Workbench was adopted. To conduct a vehicle simulation, the vehicle was modeled to include an electric motor model, energy storage model, and regenerative braking. From these results, using the advanced vehicle simulator (ADVISOR) based on MATLAB Simulink, a vehicle simulation was performed, and the effects of the improved design were described.

  • The Developing & Producing of Eco-Friendly vehicle have been more incremented, as People appreciate the importance of Earth Environment Conservation. The needs of Neighborhood Electric Vehicle(NEV) that suits Current people's short drive distance is incremented. In this Paper, we define Neighborhood Electric Vehicle through out National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of United States of America's regulation and explain motor and battery of primary constituents of that. We used MATLAB and ADVISOR 200 programs for Simulation, and propsed NEV's Model that tow people can be got in. In this Model, the battery is Lead-acid battery(72V, 85Ah) and the motor is 8kW permanent magnet synchronous motor(PM motor). We compared change of driving range of NEV through out non-changing speed Driving(10km/h, 20km/h, 30km/h, 40km/h) and Manhattan driving schedule.

  • 무공해 자동차를 만들기 위해 중요한 요소로서는 주행거리와 알맞은 가격이다. 니켈-수소 배터리와 같은 향상된 배터리의 개발은 부분적으로 문제를 해결할 수 있으며, 또 하나의 효과적인 방법은 배터리 관리 시스템이나. 니켈-수소 배터리와 배터리 ECU는 주행거리, 가속도, 등판능력과 같은 무공해 자동차의 성능에 영향을 미치는 중요한 구성품이다. 예컨대 운행 중 쉽게 발생하는 단락, 과방전, 과충전은 배터리와 관계되는 가장 큰 문제점이기 때문에 전용의 HEV용 배터리 ECU의 개발은 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 배터리 전류적산 및 전압에 기초한 HEV용 SOC 알고리즘을 제안하고 배터리 ECU를 설계 및 해석하였으며, 시험을 통해 타당성을 검증하였다.
