촉진 믹스, 브랜드자산 및 구매의도의 구조 관계 -자동차제품을 중심으로- (The Structural Relationships of The Promotion Mix, Brand Equity and Purchase Intention -Focused on the Automobile Products-)

  • 본 연구에서 Promotion Mix 활동이 브랜드 자산에 어떠한 영향을 미치며, 이는 궁극적으로 구매의도와 어떠한 관계가 있는가를 고찰하고자 수도권지역에 거주하고 있으며, 자동차를 구매한 경험이 있는 20대 이상의 성인남녀를 연구대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 수집된 자료의 통계처리는 SPSS 12.0 for Windows 통계 패키지와 AMOS 7.0 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 기업의 Promotion Mix활동과 브랜드 자산의 관계를 분석한 결과, 기업의 광고활동에 대한 평가가 긍정적일수록 브랜드 인지도, 애호도, 이미지가 증가하였다. 또한, 기업의 PR 활동에 대한 평가가 긍정적일수록 브랜드 인지도, 이미지, 애호도가 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 영업사원의 Promotion 활동과 브랜드자산의 관계를 분석한 결과, 영업사원의 사회적 역량은 브랜드 인지도와 애호도를 향상시켰으며 전략적 역량은 브랜드 인지도, 애호도, 이미지를 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 브랜드 자산과 구매의도의 관계를 분석한 결과를 보면, 브랜드 인지도는 만족도와 재구매(구전)의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치고, 브랜드 애호도는 만족도와 재구매(구전)의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 브랜드 이미지는 만족도와 재구매(구전)의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 브랜드 자산과 구매의도의 관계가 밀접한 상관관계가 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

모바일 온라인 게임의 이용 가치 및 편익 속성이 중국 이용자의 이용 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Use Value and Benefit Attributes of Mobile Online Games on Use Satisfaction of Chinese Users)

  • 본 연구는 모바일 온라인 게임에 대해 중국 이용자들을 대상으로 이용 가치 및 편익을 평가하는 속성인 이용추구성향, 이용혜택, 서비스품질, 시스템품질 등이 이용 만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미치고 있는지를 규명하였다. 실증분석결과, 이용 가치 및 편익의 4가지 속성에 대한 구성요인들이 모두 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 상황에서 이용혜택과 서비스품질 속성에서는 게임유형에 따라 구성요인의 영향정도가 다르게 나타나고 있다. 이용추구성향에서는 게임유형 간에 차이 없이 혁신추구와 관계추구가 비슷하게 중요한 영향요인으로 나타났다. 이용혜택에서는 게임유형 간에 차이를 보여 싱글플레이어 게임에서는 유대감, 멀티플레이어게임에서는 성취감이 가장 중요한 영향요인으로 나타났다. 서비스품질에서는 게임유형 간에 차이를 보여 싱글플레이어게임에서는 게임용이성, 멀티플레이어게임에서는 게임기능성이 가장 중요한 영향요인으로 나타났다. 시스템품질에서는 게임유형 간에 차이 없이 이용편의성이 가장 중요한 영향요인으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 게임 산업 내 기업들에게 게임의 개발과 충성도를 제고하기 위한 전략을 제시하였다.

입대 동기가 육군 병사와 해병대원의 군 생활과 미래 인식에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of the Enlistment-Motivation on the South Korean Military Life)

  • 본 연구는 현역 병사들의 입대 동기가 군 생활 전반에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 육군 병사와 해병대원을 대상으로 수행되었다. 입대 동기란 군 복무를 하고자 하는 동기를 말하며, 본 연구에서는 외재적 입대 동기와 내재적 입대 동기로 나누어 측정하였다. 입대 동기에 따라 군 생활 만족도와 군 조직 이미지에 대한 평가, 그리고 군 복무 경험이 앞으로의 삶에 미칠 영향에 대한 평가가 어떻게 달라지는지 알아보았다. 그 결과 육군 병사들의 입대 동기는 외재적 동기가 더 높았으며, 해병대원들의 입대 동기는 내재적 동기가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 내재적 입대 동기수준이 높을수록 군 생활 만족도가 높고, 군 조직에 대한 이미지도 긍정적으로 형성된 것으로 나타났으며, 미래의 삶에 군 생활 경험이 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 평가한 것으로 나타났다. 반대로 외재적 입대 동기수준이 높을수록 군 조직에 대해 부정적으로 평가하고, 병영생활 스트레스 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 앞으로의 삶에 군 생활 경험이 부정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 평가하였다. 마지막으로, 징병제 여부에 관계없이 입대를 결정한 집단과 징병제가 아니면 군대를 오지 않을 집단을 비교한 결과 군 생활 영향 평가, 군 조직 이미지 평가, 병영 스트레스 수준에서 유의한 차이가 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 입대 전 입대 동기 유발의 중요성에 대해 논의하였다.

  • 디스플레이를 활용해 사용자에게 광고 및 정보를 노출 할 수 있는 디지털사이니지는 공공장소에서 광고 채널로서의 역할에서 확장되었다. 최근에는 음식점 및 소매상점으로 널리 확장되어 이용되고 있다. 그러나, 특정 용도에만 맞게 개발되어 있어 확장이 어렵고 단말의 가격 또한 비싸다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 단점을 모두 보완할 수 있는 합리적인 가격과 안정적인 운영성, 높은 확장성을 가진 안드로이드 스틱형 디지털 사이니지 상품을 개발하였다. 안정성 및 사용성을 테스트 하기 위해 H/W 및 App의 Performace Test실시하였다. H/W성능, 시나리오별 최대성능을 Load Runnner로 측정한 결과 모두 목표지수에 도달하였다. 사용성 테스트를 진행한 결과, 피험자들은 비 디지털사이니지 시스템 사용자를 포함해 모두 기능을 쉽게 습득하였다. 설문지를 통해 만족도를 측정하였다. 그 결과 어플리케이션의 학습률 및 사용성(LEU), 유익함 및 문제해결능력(HPSC), 정감적요소와 멀티미디어특성 (AAMP), 제어력 및 단기기억부담의 최소화(CMML), 작동과 효율성(CE)에서 긍정적인 반응을 보였다.

Informative Role of Marketing Activity in Financial Market: Evidence from Analysts' Forecast Dispersion

  • As advertising and promotions are categorized as operating expenses, managers tend to reduce marketing budget to improve their short term profitability. Gauging the value and accountability of marketing spending is therefore considered as a major research priority in marketing. To respond this call, recent studies have documented that financial market reacts positively to a firm's marketing activity or marketing related outcomes such as brand equity and customer satisfaction. However, prior studies focus on the relation of marketing variable and financial market variables. This study suggests a channel about how marketing activity increases firm valuation. Specifically, we propose that a firm's marketing activity increases the level of the firm's product market information and thereby the dispersion in financial analysts' earnings forecasts decreases. With less uncertainty about the firm's future prospect, the firm's managers and shareholders have less information asymmetry, which reduces the firm's cost of capital and thereby increases the valuation of the firm. To our knowledge, this is the first paper to examine how informational benefits can mediate the effect of marketing activity on firm value. To test whether marketing activity contributes to increase in firm value by mitigating information asymmetry, this study employs a longitudinal data which contains 12,824 firm-year observations with 2,337 distinct firms from 1981 to 2006. Firm value is measured by Tobin's Q and one-year-ahead buy-and-hold abnormal return (BHAR). Following prior literature, dispersion in analysts' earnings forecasts is used as a proxy for the information gap between management and shareholders. For model specification, to identify mediating effect, the three-step regression approach is adopted. All models are estimated using Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods to test the statistical significance of the mediating effect. The analysis shows that marketing intensity has a significant negative relationship with dispersion in analysts' earnings forecasts. After including the mediator variable about analyst dispersion, the effect of marketing intensity on firm value drops from 1.199 (p < .01) to 1.130 (p < .01) in Tobin's Q model and the same effect drops from .192 (p < .01) to .188 (p < .01) in BHAR model. The results suggest that analysts' forecast dispersion partially accounts for the positive effect of marketing on firm valuation. Additionally, the same analysis was conducted with an alternative dependent variable (forecast accuracy) and a marketing metric (advertising intensity). The analysis supports the robustness of the main results. In sum, the results provide empirical evidence that marketing activity can increase shareholder value by mitigating problem of information asymmetry in the capital market. The findings have important implications for managers. First, managers should be cognizant of the role of marketing activity in providing information to the financial market as well as to the consumer market. Thus, managers should take into account investors' reaction when they design marketing communication messages for reducing the cost of capital. Second, this study shows a channel on how marketing creates shareholder value and highlights the accountability of marketing. In addition to the direct impact of marketing on firm value, an indirect channel by reducing information asymmetry should be considered. Potentially, marketing managers can justify their spending from the perspective of increasing long-term shareholder value.

마케팅 믹스 요소가 브랜드 자산에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Marketing Mix elements on brand Equity)

  • Many researches on brand equity have been focused in definition about it, factors of it, and the process of formation. Most of them have been used by voluntary production category, as is durable goods or nondurable goods. But this study, using the model is developed by Foote, Cone & Be1ding(FCB) Company, classified four fields, high-low involvement, rationality(rational or sensitive) involvement. The selected goods is a sensitive high involvement(casual wear). This study investigate the effects of brand equity and search the influences of brand equity formation according to factors of marketing mix. To this goals, this study kept a literature survey and a demonstrative research. In literature survey, there are several definitions of brand and brand equity. The research model is derived from selected factors of marketing mix and former study. This study used the regression analysis to verify effects from brand equity through the selected marketing mix. The research data is collected from the capital area. The focus of this study is effects of brand equity according to marketing mix. The followings are results and suggestions of this study. First, in the price factors, the affirmative effects are revealed the perceived quality and the brand awareness in a rational high involvement goods, the perceived quality and the brand associations in a sensitive high involvement goods, all factors of brand equity in a rational low involvement goods, and the perceived quality in a sensitive low involvement goods. As summary, the important characteristics is the price factors to consumers, and consumers recognize that a high price means a high quality. Second, in the store image factors, the affirmative effects are revealed all brand equity factors in a rational high involvement and a sensitive high-low involvement. A good store image incites more interest, contact, and visit from potential consumer. And such store offers more consumer satisfaction, simulates more active and positive conversation to consumers. Third, in advertising spending factors, the affirmative effects are revealed the brand awareness and associations in a rational high involvement and a sensitive high involvement, all brand equity factors in a rational low involvement and a sensitive low involvement. An advertisement increases not only a brand awareness but also strong brand associations. Forth, in price promotion factors, the affirmative effects are revealed the brand associations in a rational high involvement, the negative effects are revealed all brand equity in sensitive high involvement. According the result about the effects of brand royalty through the brand equity factors, a perceived quality and brand associations have positive effects to brand royalty in all factors. Consumers choice a deep perceived quality than other competitive brand. So, brand equity will increase according to a qualitative grade of a perceived brand by consumers. Brand associations represent a quality and a degree of involvement. In conclusion, brand associations and equity have a positive relation each other. According to the analysis results about a brand royalty of selected marketing mix factors, the affirmative effects are revealed the store image and price promotion factors in a rational high involvement, the price and store image in a sensitive high involvement, and the price and advertising spending in a rational low involvement. The results about the affect of selected marketing mix factors according to brand equity, are the perceived quality in a high involvement, and all brand equity factors in a low involvement. The affirmative effects about a store image are revealed all equity factors in high-low involvement. In advertising spending factors, the affirmative effects are revealed the brand awareness and associations in a high involvement goods, and the perceived quality and the brand awareness in a low involvement goods. In price promotion factors, the affirmative effects are revealed the brand awareness in a low involvement goods, and the negative effects are revealed the brand awareness in a high involvement goods. According to a degree of involvement, the results of a brand royalty through a brand equity factors are following. The affirmative effects are revealed the perceived quality and the brand royalty in a high involvement goods, and the brand awareness are revealed a negative effect. The affirmative effects are revealed the perceived Quality and the brand associations in a low involvement goods. So, in a high involvement goods, the brand royalty is built by strong brand associations, but, in a low involvement goods, the brand royalty is built also by a perceived Quality and a brand awareness. This study have some concept of limitation. So, this study presents a future direction of research. First, a future study has to have more deep analysis for this study analyzed through a limited marketing mix factors. Second, a future research has to get mutual effects about brand equity of marketing mix factors for this study has an individual marketing decision factors. Third, for the future, a brand equity needs a research about a several goods such as services, profit or nonprofit, industrial products, culture, and so on. Forth, the research have to diversify a various data for population.

  • The study analyzed the characteristic of school uniform, focusing on Ewha Woman's University of Seoul, reflected present trend as well as characteristic and symbol of school and developed uniform design for advertising Ewha Woman's University. The purpose of this study is to propose uniform that can be discriminated from that of other university and increase advertisement effect with mental superiority and pride in university by trying uniform design development, which can provide school and student with satisfaction, and reflecting present trend as well as characteristic and symbol of school. The study is meaningful because it can be basic materials for various uniform designs, connecting function, symbol and trend to uniform development. The uniform for school advertisement was manufactured in a way to reflect characteristic and image of school, escape from fixed idea preferring traditional design in the past and reflect trend. It is expected that the uniform created with symbolic image of school will give high advertisement effect and improve school image by providing student with sense of coherence and discriminated feeling in various events and the meeting with other school students. Moreover, the student wearing the uniform with splendid design will feel mental superiority and have pride in school at the same time. In conclusion, the uniform reflecting trend is proper for the uniform of advertisement helper representing school as long as it can reflect characteristic and image of school. It will be also helpful for developing wider design and more splendid uniform because the study can create the motive to apply trend to other uniform that does not adopt trend.

독신 미혼와 기혼의 세탁기 사용 형태 비교 분석 (An Analysis and Comparison of the Single and the Married: Their form of Using the Washing Machine)

  • 주5일제 근무 및 다양한 문화가 급격히 도입함에 따라 가치관이 변하고 있으며 이는 제품사용행태에도 영향을 미치고 있다. 본 연구는 독신 미혼 과 기혼을 대상으로 세탁기 사용 행태와 세탁기 구입 시 주요요인을 비교 분석하여 새로운 소비자로 급부상하고 있는 독신 미혼들을 위한 세탁기 상품개발에 있어 중요한 기초 자료로 활용 할 것을 목적으로 한다. 설문지를 조사도구로 사용하여 빈도분석과 요인분석(Factor Analysis)을 실시하였다. 독신 미혼의 세탁기 구입 시 중요요인으로는 기술 중심의 경제성, 용량, 디자인, 종류, 브랜드, 기능, 6가지가 있음을 알았으며, 기혼은 가격과 기술 중심의 경제성, 사용 편의성, 용량, 기능, 종류에 따른 색상, 광고에 따른 특별 기능, 6가지 중요요인이 있음을 알았다. 경제성 부분에서 기혼은 독신 미혼 보다 더 세탁기의 가격을 중요시하고, 전체적인 경제성의 수치도 미혼은 기혼에 비해 낮은 편이고, 독신 미혼은 세탁기의 특정한 브랜드를 기혼 보다 선호하는 것으로 나타났으며, 기혼의 경우는 광고 및 선전을 통해 여러 상황에 맞춰 구입하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 향후 세탁기 상품개발에 있어 특정소비자를 위한 중요한 자료로 활용 가능하다.

한국화장품 구매 선호도에 관한 연구 - 국내 관광객을 중심으로 - (Study on Korea cosmetics purchasing preferences - Focusing on domestic tourists -)

  • The most rapidly growing manufacturing could be cosmetics industries due to this phenomenon. In this study, the cosmetic distribution structure not to mention Korea, Asia's largest market, China and Japan are based on references. Purpose of study is to provide a basis for marketing strategy through the research process and results. Korea cosmetics market has been exerting a tremendous power of LG Household & Health and Amore Pacific as a major company. Cosmetics industry is rapidly booming around the mid-priced brand through internet shopping, TV shopping, and road shops. Cosmetics preferences were analyzed targeted at tourists by distributing questionnaire to 1500 in road shop and Myeong-dong from September 14 to October 13, 2013. The answers for the questions of the most awareness cosmetic brands in Korea are appeared in order of Laneige, Innisfree, The Face Shop. The satisfaction of the use of Korea cosmetic are 61.85% and the reasons are that in a variety of color cosmetics are 32.58%, the reaction of around that you look prettier are 29.34%. Therefore purchasing products are 49.14% of the color cosmetics and 24.93% of the functional products. Within the result of the survey, although the quality versus the price for the Korean cosmetic brands has been competitive advantage over yet from the advertising of Korea wave stars, the foreign purchasers have been willing to buy the color cosmetics and high-end performance products being the research and development of the continuously higher quality of the performance if the preceding even if being more expensive purchase price.

主婦의 TV廣告에 대한 態度 및 그에 따른 購買行動 (Attitude of the TV Advertising and Purchasing Behavior of Housewives)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze what attitude housewives hove to the TV advertisement and how their purchasing behavior is proceeding by information acquisition. Questionaire survey method was used in this research. The sample was taken from 437 housewives living is Seoul, form 4th of Feb. to 13th of Feb, in 1991. Used statistical methods were Frequency, Percentage, Crosstabs, One-way Anova, Duncan-test, and Regression Analysis. The major findings are summarized as follows : 1) The attitude to the TV advertisement according to the socio-demographic variables : TV advertisement seeing and hearing, the necessity of TV advertisement, and the attitude to the new advertisement are all found significant difference by age and education. The feeling to the false of TV advertisement is found significant difference by age, education, and income. 2) The purchasing behavior with TV advertisement information is most influenced by utilization of TV advertisement for all four goods(home medicine, milk product, detergent, durable goods). 3) The interest to the TV advertisement according to the TV advertisement information acquired: The degree to the utilization of TV advertisement and the necessity of TV advertisement when they buy goods were most influenced by conversation about the TV advertisement. 4) The purchasing behavior to the TV advertisement information acquired : The degree of influence was more affected by conversation about the TV advertisement for four goods, The degree of confidence was influenced by conversation about the TV advertisement for four goods. The degree of confidence was influenced by conversation about the TV advertisement for house medicine and detergent. The degree of satisfaction was not significant for all four goods, and the comparative appraisement was influenced by conversation about the TV advertisement for detergent and durable goods.
