  • This paper proposes a novel method to perform a quantitative analysis of message complexity and applies this method in comparing the message complexity among the mobile ad hoc network (MANET) address autoconfiguration protocols (AAPs). To obtain the upper bound of the message complexity of the protocols, the O-notation of a MANET group of N nodes has been applied. The message complexity of the single node joining case in Strong DAD, Weak DAD with proactive routing protocols (WDP), Weak DAD with on-demand routing protocols (WDO), and MANETconf has been derived as n(mO(N)+O(t)), n(O(N)+O(t)), n(O(N)+2O(t)), and nO((t+1)N)+O(N)+O(2) respectively. In order to verify the bounds, analytical simulations that quantify the message complexity of the address autoconfiguration process based on the different coflict probabilities are conducted.

  • New Address System have been defined by section belonging to a road To manage this New Address System the relationship between road and section must have consistency and convenience. So, It have to be designed not only logical relation but physical relation for The relationship between road and section. To make New Address Management System considered the relationship, It must be design database considered the relationship. In this study, therefore would like to present the database design considered the relationship between road and section. And then using GSIS system, New Address Management System have been developed.

  • Advance of internet access technology requires more internet bandwidth and high-speed packet processing. IP address lookups in routers are essential elements which should be performed in real time for packets arriving tens-of-million packets per second. In this paper, we proposed a new architecture for efficient IP address lookup. The proposed scheme produces multiple balanced trees stored into a single SRAM. The proposed scheme performs sequential binary searches on multiple trees. Performance evaluation results show that p개posed architecture requires 301.7KByte SRAM to store about 40,000 prefix samples, and an address lookup is achieved by 11.3 memory accesses in average.

  • There nay be collisions among beacons from several full function devices in IEEE 802.15.4 sensor networks. These collision of beacons may cause devices to lose time synchronization, and thus be unable to association. To solve this problem, the IEEE 802.15.4b defines a new Post Beacon Period(PBP), but it does not still alleviate the beacon collision problem. In this paper, we propose two automatic beacon alignment schemes that a node itself can decide its beacon start time using its short address that has been assigned during association. We also simulate and investigate our proposed automatic beacon collision avoidance schemes using NS-2 simulator.

  • In this paper, we propose the access control system based bluetooth using the MAC address of the smart device. Access control system that propose compares the smart device MAC address entry and exit and MAC address that is registered with the server. Depending on whether the match was compared, access control is performed. Result of the experiment, control of door is possible only by bluetooth pairing of the bluetooth module and smart device. Therefore, it does not require access to another tool.In addition, Action for access approval is omitted. Therefore, the access authorization procedure is simplified compared to existing access control systems, it is possible to improve the convenience.

  • Address resolution protocol (ARP) is used for binding a logical address to a physical address in many network technologies. However, since ARP is an stateless protocol, it always abused for performing ARP-based attacks. Researchers presented many technologies to improve ARP protocol, but most of them require a high implementation cost or scarify the network performance for improving security of ARP protocol. In this paper, we present an address auto-resoultion (AAR) network system to neutralize the ARP-based attacks. The AAR turns off the communication function of ARP messages(e.g. request and reply), but does not disable the ARP table. In our system, the MAC address of destination was designed to be derived from destination IP address so that the ARP table can be managed statically without prior knowledge (e.g., IP and MAC address pairs). In general, the AAR is safe from the ARP-based attacks since it disables the ARP messages and saves network traffics due to so.

  • In this study, we have developed and evaluated an information extracting module based on the named entity recognition technique. For the given purpose in this paper, the module was designed to apply to the problem dealing with extraction of postal address information from arbitrary documents without any prior knowledge on the document layout. From the perspective of information technique practice, our approach can be said as a probabilistic n-gram (bi- or tri-gram) method which is a generalized technique compared with a uni-gram based keyword matching. It is the main difference between our approach and the conventional methods adopted in natural language processing that applying sentence detection, tokenization, and POS tagging recursively rather than applying the models sequentially. The test results with approximately two thousands documents are presented at this paper.

  • Address lookup is one of the most essential functions of the Internet routers and a very important feature in evaluating router performance. Due to the facts that the Internet traffic keeps growing and the number of routing table entries is continuously growing, efficient address-lookup mechanism is indispensable. In recent years, various fast address-lookup schemes have been proposed, but most of those schemes are not practical in terms of the memory size required for routing table and the complexity required in table update In this paper, we have proposed a parallel IP address lookup architecture based on multiple hashing. The proposed scheme has advantages in required memory size, the number of memory accesses, and table update. We have evaluated the performance of the proposed scheme through simulation using data from MAE-WEST router. The simulation result shows that the proposed scheme requires a single memory access for the address lookup of each route when 203kbytes of memory and a few-hundred-entry TCAM are used.

  • In the wireless sensor networks, a sensor node has limited resources such as battery or memory. Hence, the routing protocol used in the wireless sensor networks is required efficient use of resources. In this paper, the VAP(Virtual Address Protocol), ensures the shortest transmission path for data transmission between the sink node and sensor node, is proposed. The VAP is assigned each node virtual address and sub address related with its neighboring nodes. The shortest transmission path to the destination node will be choose by comparing to each other address of its neighboring node. The comparison with other existing routing protocol shows that transmission path and usage of memory resource are minimized. Also transmission delay time of data was reduced.

  • IP version 6 (IPv6) is a new If addressing scheme that has 128-bit address space. IPv6 is proposed to solve the address space problem of IP version 4 (IPv4) which has 32-bit address space. For a given IPv6 routing set, if a forwarding table is built using a trio structure, the trio has a lot more levels than that for IPv4. Hence, for IPv6 address lookup, the binary search on trio levels would be more appropriate and give better search performance than linear search on trio levels. This paper proposes a new IPv6 address lookup algorithm performing binary search on trio levels. The proposed algorithm uses a Bloom filter in pre-filtering levels which do not have matching nodes, and hence it reduces the number of off-chip memory accesses. Simulation has been performed using actual IPv6 routing sets, and the result shows that an IPv6 address lookup can be performed with 1-3 memory accesses in average for a routing data set with 1096 prefixes.
