  • We present the high-resolution spectrum of the S-type symbiotic star V455 Sco obtained with the Dupont telescope in 2014 June. We note that the Raman-scattered O VI ${\lambda}1032$ at $6825{\AA}$ exhibits a triple-peak profile. Adopting an accretion disk model with an additional contribution from a collimated bipolar outflow, we attempt to fit the profile. We propose that the blue and central peaks are formed via Raman-scattering of O VI line photons from the accretion flow and that the bipolar flow is responsible for the remaining red peak. It is also noted that V455 Sco exhibits the Raman-scattered He II features blueward of $H{\alpha}$ and $H{\beta}$.

  • When applying back panel(this material is aluminum complex panel coated with fire resistance substances) for curtain wall, solar radiation and heat storage of indoor air occurs to result in thermal warpage for back panel. The purpose of this analysis is to find out the cause of thermal warpage and come up with a solution to prevent changes of back panel and reduce elements that bring negative visual elements. Also to solve this problem analyse that case to reduce heat transfer by inserting additional material and cases to increase air space distance.

  • This paper presents formation reconfiguration using impulsive control input for spacecraft formation flying. Spacecraft in a formation should change the formation size and/or geometry according to the mission requirements and space environment. To modify the formation radius and geometry with respect to the leader spacecraft, the follower spacecraft generates additional control inputs; the two impulsive control inputs are general control type of the spacecraft system. For the impulsive control input, Lambert's problem is modified to construct the transfer orbit in relative motion, given two position vectors at the initial and final time. Moreover, the numerical simulation results show the transfer trajectories to resize the formation radius in the radial/along-track plane formation and in the along-track/cross-track plane formation. In addition, the maneuver characteristics are described by comparing the differential orbital elements between the reference orbit and transfer orbit in the radial/along-track plane formation and along-track/cross-track plane formation.

  • Using stellar population synthesis techniques, we explore the photometric signatures of white dwarf progenitor dominated galactic halos, in order to constrain the fraction of halo mass that may be locked-up in white dwarf stellar remnants. We first construct a 10^9 M_sun stellar halo using the canonical Salpeter initial stellar mass distribution, and then allow for an additional component of low-and intermediate-mass stars, which ultimately give rise to white dwarf remnants. • In this paper, we present the result of preliminary design of tracking mount for ARGO-M which is a movable satellite laser ranging (SLR) system developed by Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI). The tracking mount consists of a couple of core parts such as driving motors, encoders and bearings, and the requirements of each parts are determined on the basis of the technical consideration. 2D and 3D models for tracking mount were preliminarily designed using the selected core parts. In order to evaluate the validity of the preliminarily design, the simulator to test the elevation axis was designed and manufactured. The test to check the tracking performance and system accuracy of the simulator was performed, and it was confirmed that the preliminary design meets the operating specifications. Additionally, it was found that the repetitive errors and hysteresis errors need to be improved by the additional control algorithm.

  • We give a new definition of ordinary smooth closure and ordinary smooth interior of an ordinary subset in an ordinary smooth topological space which have almost all the properties of the corresponding operators in a classical topological space. As a consequence of these definitions we reduce the additional hypotheses in the results of [1] and also generalize several properties of the types of compactness in [1].

  • The proposed dual-output DC-DC converter that bases on flyback converter can obtain two output voltage with non-isolated main-output and isolated sub-output at the same time using single-winding high frequency transformer. It can solve problems in multi-winding converter that use one main-switch, and also control quality of isolated sub-output voltage can be improved by additional sub-switch to the second. For analysis and design of the proposed converter system, converters are classified as operation mode from switching state and are become modeling by applying state space averaging method. Steady-state characteristics and dynamic characteristics are analyzed by DC component and perturbation component from state space averaging model. From experiment converter, validity of analysis and design for the propose converter system is confirm.

  • Lunar sodium observations are being prepared by a group of WCU scientists at the Kyung-Hee Observatory. We have been working on 3-D Monte Carlo simulations of the lunar sodium exosphere since 2009, and we need to obtain additional sodium images in order to constrain our models. Using a newly-designed simple coronagraph which is optimized for lunar observations, we plan to make direct sodium image observations. We present the structure of the planned coronagraph, optical-image observation plans, and spectroscopic observation plans of the lunar tail. We will also present updated results from the 3-D Monte Carlo simulations.

  • In this paper, the performance of a multiuser diversity system combined with a multi-element transmit antenna system is analyzed under the assumption of independent Rayleigh fading. A measure of system .level performance is an average channel capacity as a function of the number of users and antennas. Average channel capacity is obtained from the instantaneous signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) distribution combined by both transmit diversity(TD) at each link and multiuser diversity at system level. Numerical results show that closed-loop antenna techniques provide an additional gain with multiuser diversity system due to array gain, even though space diversity gain reduces multiuser diversity gain. On the other hand, the space-time block coding(STBC) that provides full order space diversity gain only has a destructive influence on multiuser diversity.

  • Perforation of articular disc of temporomandibular joint is a unusual condition and diagnosed through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), arthrography or arthroscopic surgery. We attempted to investigate the suspicious findings of articular disc perforation through examination commonly used in temporomandibular disorder (TMD) patients. We retrospectively analyzed the clinical and imaging findings of five TMD patients whose articular discs were perforated based on MRI. The most meaningful finding was the abnormal width of the joint space in cone-beam computed tomography. Thus, the clinician should perform a thorough assessment of the joint space in TMD patients and conduct additional investigation to determine what caused the abnormal joint space.
