This study analyzed the factors that affect the emotional intelligence of clinical dental hygienists' psychological well-being. The study was conducted from September 1, 2019 to November 30, 2019 with 180 dental hygienists living in Jeollabuk-do province. The data was analyzed by independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression using SPSS 18.0. Psychological well-being has a significant correlation with emotional intelligence (r=.596, p<.001). Emotional intelligence of clinical dental hygienists was found to be significant in a suitable regression model (F=116.575, p<.05), and the explanatory power was 53.6%. The higher the psychological well-being was, the higher the emotional intelligence was. The factors related to emotional intelligence of clinical dental hygienists were psychological well-being, self-acceptance, positive relations to others, personal growth, environmental mastery and clinical experience. The results of this study show that psychological well-being is related to emotional intelligence. It is necessary to establish an effective strategy to enhance the psychological well-being of clinical dental hygienists and strengthen their emotional intelligence.

This study analyzed the longitudinal trajectories of father's depression and the changes of relevant parenting practice in fathers' as well as the problematic behaviors and school adaptation of their children. To address these goals, the data from 1,172 samples from the 4th to 8th Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) was analyzed. The results of this study indicated that the fathers' depressive levels are classified into three latent groups: 1) the high-changing group, 2) the middle-low changing group, and 3) the low-low changing group. The results also revealed that the fathers within the low-low changing group practiced more authoritative but permissive parenting than the fathers in the two other groups. Children from high-changing group showed more problematic behaviors than the children of the two other groups. In addition, the children from the low-low changing group reported higher school adjustment such as academic achievements, and relationships with peers and teachers. Based on these findings, the study discusses the implications for social work practice and further studies.
This study is to determine health related to Quality of Life(QOL) of married immigrant women in multicultural families, factors of predictors, and influence of these factors to develop and verify the structural model for development of an effective nursing mediation strategy for improved QOL. The participants were 254 women who immigrated to Korea for marriage. The hypothetical model is based on the health improvement model by Pender. Immigrant women's perceived barriers, perceived benefits, self-esteem, and perceived health had an impact on their health promotion behavior(HPB). These variables explained 55.2% of the QOL regarding health, and perceived health conditions, self-efficacy, self-worth, and level of cultural adaptation explained 29.3% of acts towards improving health. The results of this study suggest that development of efficient policy considering factors affecting health related to QOL of married immigrant women in multicultural families.
The purpose of this study was to identify factors affecting nursing professionalism in students and develop educational programs. Data were collected from 169 students in G-do, from March 15th to April 30th, 2019. Analysis was done using IBM SPSS 21.0 for frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Multiple regression. The subjects' moral self was 3.39, moral behavior was 3.72, self-control was 3.68, empathy was 3.53, interpersonal competence was 3.69, and nursing professionalism was 3.90. Nursing professionalism positively correlated with self-control, empathy, and interpersonal competence. The most important factor affecting nursing professionalism was major satisfaction - 'satisfied' (β=.232, p=.002), followed by empathy (β=.222, p=.003) and interpersonal competence (β=.178, p=.016). The explanatory power was 18.5% (F=13.69, p<.001). Therefore, a program promoting major satisfaction, empathy, and interpersonal competence and a customized program considering personality and department adaptation are needed for establishment and enhancement of nursing professionalism. Utilizing the results of this study as basic data for nursing professionalism enhancement program and study confirming enhancement is expected.
Objective: An experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of bamboo leaf extract (BLE) on the production performance, rumen fermentation parameters, and rumen bacterial communities of heat-stressed dairy cows. Methods: The experiment comprised a 14-day adaptation period and a 21-day experimental period and was conducted in a high-temperature and humidity environment (daily mean ambient temperature = 33.5℃±1.3℃; daily mean relative humidity = 64.9%±0.8%, daily mean temperature-humidity index = 86.2±0.4). Twelve Holstein dairy cows were randomly allocated into two groups. A total mixed ration supplemented with BLE at 0 (CON) and 1.3 g/kg dry matter (DM) were fed, respectively. Feed intake and milk yield were recorded daily. Milk samples were collected on 1, 11, and 21 d of the experimental period to analyze milk performance. Rumen fluid samples were collected on 21 d of the experimental period to analyze rumen fermentation parameters and rumen bacterial communities. Results: Compared with the control group, supplementation of BLE increased milk yield (p<0.01), milk fat yield (p = 0.04), 4% fat-corrected milk (p<0.01) and milk fat content (p<0.01); reduced somatic cell count (p<0.01). No differences in DM intake and milk protein or lactose content were observed between two groups. Supplementation of BLE also increased the rumen total volatile fatty acid (p<0.01), acetate (p<0.01), butyrate (p<0.01), and valerate (p = 0.05) concentrations. However, no significant effects were observed on rumen pH, ammonia nitrogen, propionate, acetate/propionate ratio, isobutyrate, or isovalerate. Furthermore, BLE increased the rumen bacterial abundance and the diversity of the rumen bacterial community. The BLE reduced the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes abundance ratio and increased the abundances of Butyrivibrio_2 (p<0.01) and Ruminococcus_2 (p<0.01). Conclusion: The BLE supplementation at 1.3 g/kg DM could improve production performance and rumen fermentation in dairy cows during heat stress.

The purpose of this study was to develop a measuring tool for the health promotion behavior of Korean nurses. This would address the lack of a proven tool that reflects the nature of the nurses' nursing environment. This study was conducted on 530 nurses from January to December 2019. A literature review and focus group interview were conducted, data analysis was carried out to measure validity and reliability, and the conceptual framework was constructed by applying the IMB model. Five factors namely self-concept (2 questions), hospital life management (4 questions), knowledge and information regarding health (5 questions), physical and mental stress management (3 questions), and work adaptation (2 questions) were framed into 16 questions. The model fit was 346.23 (<.001), Parsimonious Normed Fit Index (PNFI) was 0.60, and Parsimonious Comparative Fit Index (PCFI) was 0.63, which met the acceptance criteria, and the Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) was 0.10. Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) was 0.88, Comparative Fit Index (CFI) was 0.85, and Incremental Fit Index (IFI) was 0.85 which were found to be acceptable as per the applicable standards. All items had a Cronbach's score of .85, which ensured stable reliability. The nurse's health promotion behavior measurement tool developed in this study will be used to measure the nurse's health promotion behavior in terms of nursing practice which will help in understanding the broad contours of this behavior.

The objective of the present study was to examine whether yaks possess any adaptive mechanisms of nitrogen (N) metabolism to survive in the harsh foraging environment of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. A grazing experiment on native alpine meadows was conducted to determine availability of herbage biomass and body weight (BW) change of yaks over the year, followed by two indoor feeding trials to investigate adaptation mechanisms of N metabolism in yaks fed at similar intake level to grazing conditions. Three castrated males of each of three genotypes; yak (Bos grunniens), indigenous cattle (Bos taurus) and their crossbred - cattleyak (Bos taurus male${\times}$Bos grunniens female), were used in the housed trials. Results showed that: i) Monthly herbage biomass production and daily grazing intakes by yaks over the year ranged from 220 to 4,664 kg DM per ha, and 1.90 to 8.50 kg DM, respectively. For about seven months each year, yaks suffer from malnutrition as a result of inadequate pasture conditions; ii) Urinary N excretion and N retention by yaks were significantly affected by feeding level, and yaks had a lower (p<0.05) average daily urinary N excretion (0.39 g/kg $BW^{0.75}$) and a greater (p<0.05) N retention (-0.09 g/kg $BW^{0.75}$) than indigenous cattle (0.47 and -0.16 g/kg $BW^{0.75}$, respectively). Fasting daily urinary N excretion was greater (p<0.05) for indigenous cattle than yaks (353 vs. 248 mg/kg $BW^{0.75}$). Purine derivative N excretion and purine derivative N index (PNI) increased with increasing feeding level, while the value of PNI was greater (p<0.05) for yaks and cattleyak (0.11 and 0.12, respectively) than for indigenous cattle (0.09) during the feeding trials. These results suggest that yaks could rely, in part, on the recycling of N to adapt to the harsh forage environment on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.), were used in the housed trials. This study was aimed to compare and investigate the difference of academic self-concept and social self-concept between multicultural children and general children. The data were collected from a total of 285 multicultural children and 223 general children in elementary school, during three months from February 20, 2014 to May 20, 2014. Collected data were analyzed using t-test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and enter multiple regression with the SPSS 23.0 program. Multicultural children showed lower scores in academic and social self-concept, parents attachment, social support, and school life adaptation than general children. And their mental health level was lower than the general children. The study results were that academic self-concept of multicultural children was influenced by learning activity (${\beta}$=.298), social maladaptation (${\beta}$=-.218), communication (${\beta}$=-.196), and confidence (${\beta}$=.167), which explained for 42.4% of academic self-concept. Social self-concept of multicultural children was influenced by support from friend (${\beta}$=.285), peer relation(${\beta}$=.187), social maladaptation (${\beta}$=-.172), and depression (${\beta}$=-.139). which explained for 46.3% of social self-concept. Since the influence factors of academic and social self-concept of general children and multicultural children have a great power of explanation, they can be used for the intervention program enhancing self-concept for school aged children.
Statement of problem: Recently researches about WC/C (Tungsten Carbide/Carbon) or TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating on abutment screws are going on. It decreases friction coefficient, resistance against corrosion and withdrawal of physical fragility when the coating is applied to the metal surfaces. It is reported that coated abutment screws improved abrasion, adaptability and detorque force. Purpose: This study is about the effects of coated abutment screws on loosening of screw and for the purpose of solving the loosening phenomenon of abutment screws which is clinical problem. Material and methods: Detorque force and surface changes are compared when 10 times of repeated closing and opening are applied to both uncoated titanium abutment screws (Group A) and coated abutment screws with WC/C (Group B) and TiN (Group C). Each group was made up of 10 abutment screws. Results: 1. Before repeated closing and opening, Somewhat rough surface with regular direction was observed in Group A. Coated granules were observed in group B and group C and overall coated layer appeared in regular and smooth form. 2. Before repeated closing and opening, The coated surface showed bigger and thicker size of coated granules in Group C than Group B. 3. After repeated closing and opening, abrasion and deformation of abutment screw surface was observed in Group A and Group B. Exfoliation phenomenon was observed in Group B. 4. Group A showed biggest range of decrease when the weight changes of abutment screws were measured before and after repeated closing and opening. Group C showed less weight changes than Group B but there was no statistical difference between two groups. 5. Group B and Group C showed higher average detorque force than Group A and there was statistical difference. 6. Group A showed more prominent decrease tendency of average detorque force than Group B and Group C. Conclusion: Coated abutment screws with WC/C or TiN did not show prominent surface changes than uncoated titanium abutment screws even though they were repeatedly used. And they showed excellent resistance against friction and high detorque force. Thus it is considered that adaptation of WC/C or TiN coating on abutment screws will improve the screw loosening problem.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of step-curing mode on polymerization shrinkage and contraction of composite resin restoration. Class I cavities were prepared on the extracted human premolars. The cavities were ailed with Filtek $Z-250^{TM}$ (hybrid resin, 3M ESPE, USA) and Filtek $flow^{TM}$ (flowable resin, 3M ESPE, USA) and cured with one of the following irradiation modes; Halogen 40sec with continuous curing, LED 10sec with continuous curing, and LED 13sec with step-curing. Contraction stress was measured with strain gauge which was connected to TML $Datalogger^{TM}$ (TDS-102, SOKKI, Japan) and resin-dentin interfaces were observed by scanning electron microscope. The results of present study can be summarized as follows : 1. Composite resin restoration showed transient expansion just after irradiation of curing light. Contraction stress was increased rapidly at the early phase of polymerization and reduced slowly as time elapsed (P<0.05) 2. $Filtek\;flow^{TM}$ showed lower contraction stress than Filtek $Z-250^{TM}$ regardless of curing modes. 3. LED step-curing mode showed lowest contraction stress in Filtek $Z-250^{TM}$ compared with other curing modes(P<0.05). 4. LED step-curing mode showed lowest contraction stress in $Filtek\;flow^{TM}$ compared with other curing modes(P<0.05), but difference in contraction stress was not so greate as in $Filtek\;Z-250^{TM}$. 5. Polymerization of composite resin by LED light with step-curing mode and halogen light with continuous ode resulted in better marginal sealing than LED light with continuous mode.
