  • In this paper we challenge the user Authentication using Kerberos V5 authentication protocol in Ad-hoc network environment. Ad-hoc network is a collection of wireless mobile nodes without the support of a stationary infrastructure. and DSR routing protocol, which is one of famous mobile ad-hoc routing protocols, has the following network path problem. this paper is the security structure that defined in a mobile network and security and watches all kinds of password related technology related to the existing authentication system. It looks up weakness point on security with a problem on the design that uses Ad-hoc based structure and transmission hierarchical security back of a mobile network, and a server-client holds for user authentication of an application level all and all, and it provides one counterproposal.

  • The multimedia ad hoc wireless network is quite an attractive issue since it offers a flexible solution to enable delivery of multimedia services to mobile end users without fixed backbone networks. However, with the unique design challenges of ad hoc wireless networks, it is a non-trivial issue to provide bounded delay guarantee, with fair share of resources. In this paper, we implemented the delay guaranteed fair queueing (DGFQ) scheme distributively. Through the results of performance evaluation, we can conclude that DGFQ also performs well to control bounded delay in multimedia ad hoc wireless networks.

  • In this paper, the RFID / USN-based ad-hoc network structure is presented for efficient operation of a container terminal yard. Communication between fixed or mobile devices in the container terminal yard is accomplished through the ad-hoc node, to collect the status information of a container in real time. Any outside shipper of the container as well as central server allows to share the status information of a container through ad-hoc communication. In addition, to predict the maximum wireless transmission range of nodes by RFID tag position in the yard, LAODV (Location based AODV) routing protocol is proposed. The validity is proved by performance evaluation via computer simulation.

  • Mobile Ad Hoc Network is easy to be attacked because nodes are distributed not network based infrastructure. Intrusion detection system perceives the trust values of neighboring nodes and receives inspection on local security of nodes and observation ability. This study applied clustering mechanism to reduce overhead in intrusion detection. And, in order to measure the trust values, it associates the trust information cluster head received from member nodes with its own value and evaluates the trust of neighboring nodes. Secure data transmission is received by proposed concept because the trust of nodes on network is achieved accurately.

  • Ad-hoc networks consist of a set of mobile hosts that communicate using wireless links, without the use of other supporting communication facilities (such as base stations, etc.). Therefore, the topology of an Ad-hoc network frequently changes due to the movement of mobile host, which nay lead to sudden packet loss. Recently, the large amount of research has focused on the routing protocols needed in such an environment. In this paper, TCP Reno, Sack, and Tahoe versions are analysed using DSR protocol which is the representative On-Demand routing protocol in Ad-hoc wireless network. As the result of this simulation, we know that TCP Reno relatively has higher throughput than that of Sack and Tahoe, and TCP Reno has more stable performance than that of TCP Tahoe and Sack, regardless of the speed of mobile node and the size of topology.

  • An ad hoc network is a collection of mobile nodes without any Infrastructure. However, ad hoc networks are vulnerable to attacks such as routing disruption and resource consumption; thus, routing protocol security is needed This paper proposes a secure and efficient routing protocol for mobile ad hoc networks, where only one-way hash function are used to authenticate nodes in the ROUTE REQUEST, while additional public-key cryptography is used to guard against active attackers disguising a node in the ROUTE REPLY.

  • Ad-hoc networks can be used various environment, which it is difficult to construct infrastructures, such as shadowing areas, disaster areas, war area, and so on. In order to support to considerable and various wireless services, more spectrum resources are needed. However, efficient utilization of the frequency resource is difficult because of spectrum scarcity and the conventional frequency regulation. Ad-hoc networks employing cognitive radio(CR) system that guarantee high spectrum utilization provide effective way to increase the network capacity. In conventional CR based ad-hoc network, it uses constant threshold value to detect primary user signal, so the results become not reliable. In this paper, to solve this problem, we apply adaptive threshold value to the CR based ad-hoc network, and adaptive threshold is immediately changed by SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio). From the simulation results, we confirmed that proposed algorithm has the greatly better detection probabilities than conventional CR based ad-hoc network.

  • In terrestrial communications, high data rate transmission can be achieved by splitting the coverage area into small cells through base stations and reusing the resource efficiently. However, the geographical features of maritime communications require the long transmission range, and it is not practical to install base station on the sea to set up the similar deployment as the terrestrial communications, so MF/HF band modem with low data rate are currently utilized for maritime communications. And the expensive satellite communication via Inmarsat is the conventional solution for the high data rate transmission on the sea. To reduce the cost, Ad-hoc network is proposed to apply on the sea, which requires no base station for the peer-to-peer communications. In this paper, we denominate this maritime environment specific Ad-hoc network as Nautical Ad-hoc Network (NANET). Furthermore, the deployment scenario for the NANET, and the analysis on multiple access and duplexing schemes for the NANET are discussed in this paper, which serves as the cornerstone for the further NANET research and development.
