It is widely recognised that the safety-belt is one of the most important and effective vehicle safety features. Nevertheless, actual safety-belt wearing rates are low in Korea, especially rear seats. In Korea, rear seat safety-belt use can be as low as 20%. Consolidating fitment of Safety Belt Reminder(SBR) is one of means to improve belt wearing rates. In this paper, we use the effect of wearing seat belt model as Evans(1991) model. As a key parameter, intial wearing seat belt rates is studied and final wearing seat belt rates is used as scenario related a human compliance variables. In this study, benefit analysis is performed when the effective SBR is made mandatory for all passenger car seat. According to study results, when the fitment of SBR is made mandatory for all passenger car seats in Korea, 119 lives are expected to be saved annually with a 90% observance rate of the SBR. In the same condition, benefit-cost ratio will be 1.84.

This study was carried out to research the size satisfaction and the actual conditions of house caddie uniforms. Survey participants consisted of 310 caddies at 6 membership golf clubs. In order to perform this study 45 questionnaires were used, which consisted of questions pertaining to size satisfaction and sewing, laundry management, and inconvenience and, most importantly performance. Frequency analysis was implemented using SPSS 10.0. The results of this study could be summarized as followed; The highest dissatisfaction factors in the presently worn uniforms were sleeve length and pants hem width. The highest dissatisfaction factors in the sewing satisfaction were pocket and armpit area. Activity is the most important consideration in the choice of a uniform. These results will be applied to develop a comfortable uniform design.

The Korean wintertime Onmapsi Campaign recommends wearing underwear, layered clothing, or thermal accessories in an indoor environment of a lower than room-heating condition. We surveyed 132 government officers, about Onmapsi wearing conditions and campaign satisfaction. The term was found to be unfamiliar to them, even if they wore underwear or thermal accessories as participants in the campaign for the wintertime office of low temperature 18-$20^{\circ}C$. They wore thick shirt/pants or cardigans/sweaters; however, underwear or thermal vests was worn relatively less. They wear 2.9 layers on top and 1.7 layers in bottom in average. They have their own methods to keep the body warm, which are using 1) functional thermal clothing, such as turtleneck shirts of heat technology new material, 2) functional thermal accessories, such as warmer and muffler, 3) functional office goods, such as a thermal computer mouse and blanket on the desk. The campaign requires more advertisement, a revision on the details of the proper wintertime indoor environment, and develops the varieties of Onmapsi apparel.
This study analyzed the purchasing behavior for underwear, with the subjects of pregnant women, and the trend of its fit preference and thereby looks into the practices of their clothing life to provide the basic data for the formation of maternity clothing industry, focusing on the underwear development in response to pregnant women's body type features. The conclusion were as follows: 1. The analysis of underwear wearing practices for the women in the pregnancy of eight months or longer and those after the delivery within one month showed that about 80-90% of them wore panties or brassieres and about 70% of them did not wear girdles, thus with a lower level for girdles than for panties or brassieres. 2. The surveys of the satisfaction and fit for two designs each with the high wearing frequency did not show any relatively significant difference in assessment by the design. The analysis of the satisfaction by the part with the maternity underwear indicated that in the case of panties the respondents were dissatisfied with the length as to be long, and also dissatisfied with waist circumference, abdomen circumference, private parts, and groin as to be small, reflecting that the circumference coverage of the panties in the market was not effectively managed.
The purpose of this study was to investigate problems of design, fitness, suitability for movement, and comfort in current Korean military tank driver's clothing through analysis of actual wearing condition by questionnaire and field evaluation and. to provide basic data for developing a improved design of Korean military tank driver's clothing. The survey was done for 477 military tank driver and the field evaluation was also done for evaluation. The overall satisfaction for design of military tank driver's clothing(3.25) was higher than that for the easiness in wearing and taking off(2.76). The military tank drivers evaluated that current coverall type of clothing is more suitable than two-piece type of clothing. The overall satisfaction for fitness of clothing was as a whole low(2.82~3.09), Especially, the satisfaction for fitness of from front and back rise length was the lowest one. In the satisfaction for clothing materials, the satisfaction for the breathability of material was the lowest, followed by clothing insulation and air permeability. The satisfaction for movement was low in bending waist and raising forward and aside. The part which surveyors think most dissatisfactory was also front and back rise length. The frequency in use of pocket was the highest in chest pocket, followed by waist and pants pockets. The satisfaction for opening easiness of hips opening part was very low(2.64).
This study was conducted to analyze the actual wearing conditions and body fit preferences of the middle-aged women's ready-to-wear lower body clothing. The aim was also to analyze lower body recognition, lower body satisfaction, fit preferences and size satisfaction according to age and degree of girth size. A questionnaire was developed and administered to 300 middle-aged women aged 34 to 59. Statistical tests such as descriptive analysis, crosstabs, and X²-tests were conducted to analyze the data and ascertain the differences between the ages. Lower body satisfaction and recognition were compared by T-test. Also, Anova was used to analyze lower body recognition, satisfaction, fit preferences, and size satisfaction according to age and degrees of girth size. The results indicated that women aged 50 to 59 were more dissatisfied with the ready-to-wear sizing system and because of their body shapes had changed, their need for a larger size range system had also increased. Moreover, the element that most affected their purchase of ready-to-wear lower body clothing was the design followed by the size. The women, especially of the ages 50 to 59, showed a tendency to he dissatisfied with their lower bodies and they recognized that their lower bodies had thickened compared to women aged 34 to 39 and 40 to 49. Analysis of body satisfaction, recognition, and fit preference according to girth size showed that the group of larger girth size recognized that their lower bodies were thicker and were more dissatisfied and preferred looser fittings than the groups of smaller women.
The purpose of this study was, accordingly, to examine male college student's general body consciousness and their actual condition of wearing clothing, as it's assumed that clothing, which everyone must always wear, might be effective in making up for the physical defect. The findings of this study were as follows : 1. Male College Students'Body Consciousness : They expressed some dissatisfaction with their own body, and they were most discontented with their height, among their bodies. They thought of the western-style shape as an ideal one, as what's considered by them to be ideal was thinner a little than them, being taller with wider shoulder, longer legs, smaller and white face. 2. Male College Students'Characteristics of Clothing Purchasing Behavior : In purchasing clothing, male college students were slightly sensitive about the physical part with which they wasn't satisfied. The clothing pattern preferred by them was an abstract one, and their favorite color was white or black. The greatest number of them put most emphasis on design in buying clothing, and they purchased clothing mainly at special fashion shop. On the whole, they showed an affirmative response toward wearing Korean costume, and they also had a positive opinion about the purchase of reformed Korean dress for everyday life. 3. Male College Students'Characteristics of Wearing Clothing : They appeared not to consider making up for physical weakness. Male college students favored aloha shirt and trousers when they went out. Male college students purchase clothing in consideration of individual, manly, classical, tender, or comfortable factors. 4. Relationship of Body Consciousness to Wearing Behavior : The degree to which they considered covering up physical weakness in wearing clothing was examined, by dividing them into two groups : one was a group that thought their own shape normal, and the other was a group that didn't think of their own shape as normal. As a result, both groups appeared not to consider covering up physical weakness.
Aims of this study was to investigate on the actual condition of contact lens wearing after corneal refractive surgery, base curves and diameters of lenses on sale, and to confirm movement of lens and wear patterns when wearing of lenses in the modified cornea. After surgery, 16.5% of the respondents had experience wearing contact lenses. Also, the mostly distributed contact lenses had B.C. 8.6mm and DIA.14.0mm. The corneas of 24 eye after corneal refractive surgery were flat, the lenses moved towards inferior and temporal when wearing the lens. After corneal refractive surgery, contact lens wear may feel uncomfortable may require the detailed description and sophisticated fitting due to the limited type of contact lens. It is thought that convergence will be necessary in the industry and clinical study of contact lenses.

This study was aimed at conducting a survey and analyzing its results on the purchase and wearing conditions and design preference of sports casual wear among women and men in their twenties and thirties according to region, gender, age and income. The survey was administered using a website and was conducted among the persons who purchased sports casual wear more than once a year. The statistical results were analyzed from 497 questionnaires of respondents residing in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, six metropolitan cities and other cities and provinces. The results of this study were summarized as follows. 1) Results of wearing conditions and preference of sports casual wear : The respondents of the survey answered that they had purchased 1 or 2 clothing items for a year and the order of buying the popular wear ranked sport shirt, jacket, trousers respectively. They chose mostly shades of gray, and the most favored design type were a chin collar, a set-in sleeves, a mixed type of band cuffs and elastic band, side zip-pockets, a full-zip front fastener, alight warm-up hood, and a small front upper chest type logo; 2)Analysis of the differences in purchase and wearing conditions in accordance with region, gender, age and income : The largest proportion of respondents who answered thar had purchased 4 or more clothing items for a year were Seoul residents and in particular the residents south of the Han river. The customers under thirty usually obtained their information about sports casual wear by visiting stores in person. The men obtain a variety of information through printed materials and related Internet sites; 3) Analysis of preferential differences of the detailed partial design : The purchasers in their 20's preferred black white, and gray patterns, however that preference shifted for those in their late 20's and the preference for pastel colors increased. The purchasers in their 20's and mid 30's had a preference for a chin collar and an eight-shaped zip type pockets. The men preferred a band cuff and a detachable hood type but women favored an elastic band and a light warm-up hood type.

A rash guard, also known as rash vest or rashie, is functional sportswear that protects the wearer's skin from various dangers during outdoor sports activities. It is durable and comfortable since it is designed considering muscle movement. In modern society, more and more people enjoy leisure activities due to an increase in income level and increased leisure hours. Water leisure activities are increasingly enjoyed in the summer. As the way people think of leisure evolves, people are more inclined toward dynamic leisure sports rather than static facility tourism. Therefore, more research on rash guards is required. By identifying and analyzing the design preferences and purchase behaviors of young adults on rash guards, this study aims to provide basic data on the actual sportswear behaviors concerning those who are most active in water sports, people in their 20s and 30s. Furthermore, the study aims to contribute to a healthy exercise lifestyle for women who enjoy water sports and the growth of the water sportswear market. In the study, a survey was conducted using a questionnaire to investigate the wearing behaviors and purchase preferences as well as the wearing satisfaction on rash guards. For the study, 200 copies of the questionnaire were distributed and collected to be used as analysis data. The questionnaire consisted of 36 questions, 6 about demographic characteristics, 11 about purchase preferences, and 19 about wearing satisfaction. The collected data was analyzed using the statistical program SPSS 8.0. The study results can be used as basic data to investigate the design preferences and wearing behaviors of rash guards of women in their 20s and 30s. The results found numerous complaints on comfortableness and durability, which suggests more concern and improvements are necessary in those areas when designing patterns for rash guards.
