A Study on the Actual Conditions of Safety Management in Thermal Oil System (열매체유 시스템의 안전관리 실태에 관한 연구)

  • Depending on the progress of the industrial advances, the use of the thermal oil system in the utility system has been increased, which became an important part in the operation of the plant. However, fire or explosion have occurred due to lack of risk awareness and safety management, more frequently than we know. In this study, by using a questionnaire, actual conditions of safety management in thermal oil system is surveyed and analyzed, it is composed of general, a safety status of the thermal oil system component and the stage of recognition and management in the thermal oil system. These results of this study can be used as basic data to the safety management and the accident prevention of fire or explosion in the workplace.

  • Presented is the study on design and implementation of a fuzzy system to approximately reason using measured actual storage rate in irrigation reservoirs. To design Fuzzy reasoning systems. Minimum Operation Rule by Mamdani was applied. Fuzzy variable and membership functions are determined after identifying storage-rate affecting factor and followed simulation. Hydrological model to express actual situation within drought areal boundary is generally too complex. Hereby, considering irregularity of time-rate storage change during irrigation, this system uses irrigation water and meteorological data as a IN-data. It was abvious the results were closely corresponding to the actual data observed.

  • This study carries out a basic study of ways to calculate navigation errors for aircraft operating in the unmanned aerial system traffic management(UTM). Recently, research by UTM has been carried out both at home and abroad, along with the initial study of system definitions at the basic stage, operational techniques of the aircraft, and the practicality of the concept of necessary operations at the actual operational stage. This study presented after a review the factors that should be considered for the calculation of navigation errors among the factors that examine whether the actual low altitude aircraft can operate properly within UTM during its actual operation and the need to apply them in practice.

  • The construction automation provides safer and more productive working environment of construction site. We developed the automation system of bolting operation for high-rise building in the previous research. However, this system has a weak point that the operation has to be processed in the air with the operator in the cabin. This weakness leads operators to considerably dangerous environment. Therefore, we proposed the tele-operation system in order to supplement this weak point. Furthermore, it leads more effective operation by application of more intuitive controller; spherical coordinate based Master Arm than the joystick in the Mobile Bolting Robot system. These proposed system and controller were evaluated based on Fitts' law paradigm, which is a general estimation method of speed accuracy of task. Through the experimental results, new developed tele-operation system is compared with the actual operation and it discloses distinctions between two systems. As a result, it is found that new developed teleoperation system can be possible to replace the operation in the cabin.

  • Innumerable microgrids would be operated independently by individual operators in a future smart grid. This kind of decentralized power system requires entirely different operation scheme in the actual power system and electricity market operation. Especially, frequency regulation is very important for successive energy trade in this multi-microgrid circumstance. This paper presents an optimal energy and reserve market participation strategy and operation strategy of energy storage system (ESS) by a microgrid operator (MGO). For definite evaluation of the proposed strategy, we postulate that the MGO should participate in the Power Exchange for Frequency Control (PXFC) market, which was devised by Maria Ilic and her coworkers and is suitable to the decentralized operation circumstances. In particular, optimal reserve capacity of the frequency control market and optimal market participation ratio of ESS between frequency control market and energy market are derived theoretically and evaluated by simulations utilizing Nordic Pool Elspot price data.

  • We may consider the inducement of demand to public transportation as a solution to relieve traffic congestion and pollution. Subway has merits as moving on schedule, transporting more people than bus. But subway is required a vast investment in the early stage of construction has a huge debt. So it runs into red figures, and on this account, services of subway are falling more and more. Development of subway's operation cost function is useful to understand structure of subway's operation and catch the relations of operation cost and actual results. In addition, we can present the policy that is a helpful to the operation as development of operation cost function. But there are short of studies about operation cost deal with a subway comparison with local train. Because local train has many lines and data, on the other hand, subway has one to four lines and less data. Most of previous studies sought the operation cost function of Seoul. So this study aimed to develop and apply the operation cost function of Seoul, Incheon, Busan and Daegu area using full allocation method. In this study, we considered the number of passengers, track-km, train-km, revenue as actual results. By appling the operation cost function, we compared the average cost of each city and confirmed the existence of economies of scale about the number of passengers, train-km.

  • An important factor in determining the design and treatment efficiency of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) is the quantity and quality of influent. These detailed and accurate information is essential for process control, diagnosis and operation, as well as the basis in designing the plant, selecting the process and determining the optimal capacity of each bioreactor. Probabilistic models are used to predict the wastewater quantity and quality of WWTPs, which are widely used to improve the design and operation of WWTPs. In this study, the optimal probability distribution of time series influent data was derived for predicting water quantity and quality, and wastewater influent data were generated using the Monte Carlo simulation analysis. In addition, we estimated various alternatives for the improvement of bioreactor operations based on present operation condition using the generated influent data and activated sludge model, and suggested the alternative that can operate the most effectively. Thus, the influent quantity and quality are highly correlated with the actual operation data, so that the actual WWTPs influent characteristics were well reproduced. Using this will improve the operating conditions of WWTPs, and a proposed improvement plan for the current TMS (Tele Monitoring System) effluent quality standards can be made.

  • In this paper, Minimize driving energy for operation within a defined distance yeokgan fixed time-resolved and determine the nature of the train is traveling, and to model mathematically. Urban rail car cruise in general by the PID controller is used instead of automatically tracking a target value while traveling in energy consumption to be minimized by using optimal control model railroad charyangreul was designed under real operating conditions the same. The actual track conditions apply to the minimum value or a separate listing of cars around the track facility without a driving energy of the automatic operation and to reduce the driving energy. Therefore, actual route chosen straight line 8 / gradient segment / curve for the measured data analysis, such as sections within the city-minute drive each section and presented how the trains to save energy, depending on the pattern of the train station in the region.

A Study on Improvement Measures of Energy Recovery Efficiency through Analysis of Operational Status of Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Facilities (생활폐기물 소각시설의 운영 실태 분석을 통한 에너지회수 효율 개선방안 검토)

  • This study was carried out to examine the improvement plan by analyzing the characteristics of imported wastes, operation rate, and benefits of energy recovery for incineration facilities with a treatment capacity greater than 50 ton/day. The incineration facility capacity increased by 3,280 tons over 15 years, and the actual incineration rate increased to 2,783 ton/day. The operation rate dropped to 76% in 2010 and then rose again to 81% in 2016. The actual calorific value compared to the design calorific value increased by 33.8% from 94.6% in 2002 to 128.4% in 2016. The recovery efficiency decreased by 29% over 16 years from 110.7% to 81.7% in 2002. Recovery and sales of thermal energy from the incinerator (capacity 200 ton/day) dominated the operation cost, and operating income was generated by energy sales (such as power generation and steam). The treatment capacity increased by 11% to 18% after the recalculation of the incineration capacity and has remained consistently above 90% in most facilities to date. In order to solve the problem of high calorific value waste, wastewater, leachate, and clean water should be mixed and incinerated, and heat recovery should be performed through a water-cooled grate and water cooling wall installation. Twenty-five of the 38 incineration facilities (about 70%) are due for a major repair. After the main repair of the facility, the operation rate is expected to increase and the operating cost is expected to decline due to energy recovery. Inspection and repair should be carried out in a timely manner to increase incineration and heat energy recovery efficiencies.

  • 국민의 생명과 재산을 보호하고 경제발전에 기여하는 엔지니어링산업은 두뇌산업이며 엔지니어링산업을 육성하기 위하여는 선진국의 기술사등록제를 연구하여 활성화하는 방안을 강구하여야 할 것이다. 우리나라의 기술사제도의 미비점을 검토하기 전에 우선 외국의 기술사등록제의 운영실태를 조사할 필요가 있다.
